Newbie & Ready to Lose weight!

Hi Everyone!

I have just started CD on Monday, I am following the SS plan, and I have a weigh in on Saturday.

I am really really really determined to be successfull on the CD. I have tried other diets in the past - SW and WW and always seem to give in to temptation after i have lost about a stone. I think the problem is that I think 'wow! i've lost weight - i deserve a treat!!!' and then it all starts downhill from there!

This time there will be no temptation asI am ss'ing- I have even forbidden myself from watching masterchef so there will be no mouth watering temptation!!! How sad am I!!!!

Anyway, I joined mini-mins to give me motivation and increase my will power, and I am so determined to be succesful!!

I want to lose 6 stone by the summer. My counsellor told me that i could expect to lose a stone a month - Is this about right??

Also, I used to go to Bikram Yoga (Which is hot yoga) I would like to return, does anyone have any experience of doing this on the CD? I am worried I am going to faint in the class!!

Hi and welcome. Yes a stone a month is average loss so if you stick to it you should be at goal in the summer :D

hi ya - i only started a week ago and is my fist time on cambridge, im just loving the cambridge concept - just fits into my way of life so easily, hope to see you around soon xx

How are you finding it so far?

I'm hoping to drop another 5 stone by summer too and a stone a month is average so you could definitely do it.
I wouldn't advise exercising for atleast the first 2 weeks and when you do start exercise it again take it very slowly because you are on such a small amount of calories.

Hiya, you sound really determined which is a good thing. Don't have any experience of the yoga thing but i am doing a Zumba class and feel fine during and after it, if thats any help :)
 
Good luck - it's a fab plan! I have done hot yoga a couple of times and pretty much passed out and I wasn't on the plan, so I'm probably not the best person to ask - lol

It's been tough today, but I've just got to be strong and push on, and have self belief and know that I can achieve something if I stick to it.
I love reading the posts on this site, I feel like it is really spurring me on!

Hi Sazzle,

I'm starting SS for the first time tomorrow as well - a bit nervous but really determined to make this work. I've got out a dress which I last wore when I was 17 from the wardrobe and hung it from the door as motivation.

Bit worried that I wont like the shakes/soups but read somewhere that if you think of them as medicine/fuel it makes it easier.

Good luck and just keep thinking about the first weigh in!

I just weighed in for the first time, and in 5 days I lost 10 pounds!

I am amazed! And I have the biggest smile on my face :)

Whats your starting weight? Like you I have tried sw (mostly) and ww and always always give up after I've lost 10-14lbs... Who knows why?! Maybe because my clothes fit.

I started yoga recently too and am looking forward to doing some classes at the gym (when I can - on day 3 and feel soo weak today!)
I also have 6 stone to lose - to be at target by sumer would be amazing! Did not know that a stone a month was average! Eeeek


Looking forward to June now! Lol!
Good luck with the rest of your journey! Hope I've lost 10lbs or even half of thy after 5 days lol x
 
Hi hun!

I am on day 2 today and am doing it for All the same reasons as you! I have to tried other diets lost a bit of weight and failed. My head is in a different place this time tho which makes me think... Well know that I will succeed at this!

I haven't done a introduction yet but will be soon.

The way I look at it is if I cheat it's only myself I am letting down and all the money I have wasted!

I started CD again, this is my 4th day.
just wanted to wish you lots of luck.
I lost almost 6 stones before but over the years have reverted back to bad eating habits so i`m back again but determined :D
just think of all the slim summer pics we can post if we stick to the diet :D

Thanks for your support, i think we are all starting together and should support each other together!

I started at 17,8 and after my first weigh in I am down to 16,12.

I have just been to bikram yoga tonight, Wowsers! I did a lot of sweating that's for sure!!

I am feeling good today, but was feeling hideous at the weekend, I hope this week is going to be a good week :)

I hope you all go well this week, it's tough, but worth it once you get to the other side. Really really try not to 'cheat', it's just adding more time onto when you will reach ketosis, stick to the plan and you will get results!!

How have things been today for you?

I am craving something savoury! I didn't get any soups but luckily can pick some up tomorrow so am looking forward to that!

I have had a headache today and have felt slightly hungry at times but this has passed (day2) also I have been going to the loo mega amounts! Almost every 30 min!

How has your day been?
 
Wow! You sound uber motivated Hun!

Today I have been hungry hungry hungry and freezing cold! Had cravings allllllllllll day long!

Definitely don't like the chicken & mushroom soup - blergh! Better on the shakes I think!

Tomorrow I'll be trying a warmed up chocolate or chocolate orange one! x
