Hi guys. I started ss on Monday weighing in at 14.4 st. I was weighed today on day 5 and have lost 8lb. I wont be weighed again now for 7 days. Really chuffed with my loss in 5 days. Im finding it ok so far. Totally loving the porridges, but really couldn't stomach the soups so did a swap today. This is my 1st time on the plan and really looking for a bit of support from anyone please. Thanks for reading this is all VERY new to me. Thanks Rachael
 
Congratulations that is a great loss for 5 days, and you are now past the worse. Keep it up, well done.
 
Hey I started yesterday, well done on the loss, that's fab, I hope I do that we'll, I'm just trying to maintain having done CD a few years ago, it definitely works, I slip then do it again for a while, this time 5 days, so finished by Wednesday. Husband is doing it with me, he has a bit more to lose but has kept well away from what he was the first time we did it together 3 years ago. It's a great diet, with fast and great results, you are over the worst bit, so stick to it and good luck.
 
Hi thanks for your support. You have had two FAB loses. I'm also inspired by your mini targets, definetly going to set my own. If i have the loses you have had in my first two weeks, then i will be one haooy lady. My main goal is to be in a pair of skinny jeans by June 1st (off to watch the mighty Muse in concert). It's been years since i was in a pair of jeans.... Keep up the great work, you're doing really well.
 
Hi, thanks for your message. If you dont mind me asking how much weight did you lose orininally? Is it easy to maintain once your at target? Im really curious as sometimes i think the easy part is losing, the weight its the maintaining thats sooooo hard.
 
Wow 7lb well done you. How are you finding it? I'm starting week 2 today and feeling really positive. I get weighed on Friday. I can definitely feel a difference already. Cleaning my teeth about 8 times a day though due to paranoia over bad breath. I have 4 young children and thought I would struggle at the weekends but so far so good.
 
I know I think getting weighed 5 days in really helped and gave me a real boost. I'm slightly worried that I'm finding it quite easy at the moment!! Just wandering if this will last? ....

Ok i started last wednesday (27th March) on sole source, OMG im finding it hard! This is the second time round and it is so much more harder! Last time round i lost nearly 3stone but I had motivation as my wedding was just round the corner, but i ended up putting ALL the weight back on plus 2 more pounds!! My husband says how he loves me the way i am but that doest stop you from feeling like your the fattest person in the world! I have not cheated once in this week which i rather pround of myself for, as i have a very sweet tooth. My first weigh is tomorrow :confused:
So i was just wondering if anyone can help me along this path and i would to hear from anyone else who feels the same.

Start weigh- 14st 10lbs

Hi I am also on second time round and had wedding last time divorce this time lol I am heavyer this time and started cambride last monday get weighted tom so will be great to buddy up i found all week easy apart from today and yesterday I have really struggled xx

I just want to say that it gets easier, but you have to stick to it. I have a long term illness. I lost my job 4 years ago due to ill health. When i was working i was a healthy 8 stone since being ill i had shot up to 14 stones with the help of comfort eating and feeling sorry for myself. Before u realise yr overweight.

My illness is very rare and due to this i had a bladder pacemaker and wen it was implanted i was at a healthy weight. This implant has to be replaced every 5 years. Now ive put on weight and my op is next year but i hav to apply for funding and the condition of the op is that i hav to be 9 stone in order to get funding. Now the true reality of my weight dawned on me and i thought if i dont lose weight now then i will not be able to have the replacement op to control my bladder and it would result in me being incontinent. That wad something i didnt want to experience again. Im not active and my mobility is very restricted walkin with crutches. So i did a calorie controlled diet that i made up n I managed to lose weight. I lost 2 stone n 2lb but stopped at that and since found it impossible to lose any more.

I have tried every diet under the sun but no i couldnt lose anymore. My husband mentioned that his cousin lost weight with cambridge diet so i thought id giv it a go and i knew its another diet to add to my list of failures. I thought it would not work. My start weight was 11 stone n 13 lb 2 weeks ago wen i started cd. My first weigh in last tuesday was 11 stone and 8 lb. I lost 5 lb last week. I also started my periods but despite that i had a good weight loss. I really stuck to the diet religiously. Im due to be weighed tomoro agen and im really optimistic that ive lost a lot as ive really stuck to it. Ive not cheated at all and i can feel it also.

I was very agitated for the first 4 or 5 days and found it very difficult as ive a sweet tooth too. Being an asian women and havin curries around you is very hard to resist the temptation but i have and im very proud of it. Its only 2 weeks but even thats an acheivement for sum1 like me. Im on the sole source and my weapon was and is that i did alot of internet search on ketosis. I think u really need to understand wat this means. Ive also got ketosticks and check my urine first thing on a morning and wen i see the results i feel very proud that im in a state of ketosis. I drink double the amount of water due to my bladder probs and i have loads of tea with sweetners through out the day with skimmed milk. im determined to really stick to it as i want this op. I dont cheat as its not worth it to pull yr body out of ketosis and then u hav to wait for anotha 3 days to go bak in ketosis. This will then probably affect yr weigh in. Not worth it. Every time i see food i think of ketosis and it doesnt bother me at all.

All i can say is you really need the willpower to beat yr cravings. Stik to it and it wil become easy. Wen im weak i hav a tea with sweetners in. I only drink the ready made tetra paks chocolate velvet. I absolutely love it. That really kicks my sweet tooth cz it really is a lovely drink. Doing the cd you need morale support from home and my husband is that support. Hes a star whose helped me through my high n lows. U also need an internet buddy who nos wat yr going through. I think it makes it easier havin a buddy on yr weight loss journey. I would live to buddy up with you.

Im havin my weigh in tomoro and wil post how much ive lost tomoro. I cant wait. Look forward to hearin from u agen and from anyone else on sum tips to combat our days on this cd.

I find it the hardest when im at work as there is sooooo much temptation around, plus everyone seems to be eating all the time! Whats your craving? Mines cake!

Im so happy that we have started roughly around the same time!

Hello agen

I find the chocolate velvet calms my sweet cravings but some times i want sumat spicy so ive made green chutney that is totally liquidised and i dip my finger in and take 1 or 2 dips. Its of a thick mixture and i find that really does the trick and with it being spicy i drink loads of water n woooo im full. Every time my stomach rumbles or im hungry i drink luke warm water. I cnt stomach cold water cz im very cold all the time. Ive found a hot water bottle is my best friend lately. Its jus a side effect to ketosis i guess. Do u get cold or is it jus me
 
Hi guys , i started last thur tommorrow ia my first weight. In , i am on step 2 due to medical health , but i will admit some days have been more ss+, i am 14st, but only 5ft1inch , so i really would like to get ti 10st , exercise ie also difficult for me (i have arthritis), i am going on holiday in aug so i really want to shift as much as i can before then and afterwards depending on where i am weight wise i will readdress what step i need to be on !i don't want to spend my life yo yo dieting so i have decided, to move up the steps gradually till i am comfortable , and stop scoffing crap for the sake of it ! Good luck everyone xx
 
Hey guys, hope you don't mind me joining in!! I also started SS last thurs and am having my first weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed for a good result. We all need a boost to keep us going!!!
 
Let us know how your wi goes , very excited but anxious i have decided i am not going to beat myself up if some weeks are slightly lower, a loss is a loss as far as i am concerned and we are all different so i am going to try and not get deflated xx
