Cambridge Diet 6 Days in on SS

Hi Everyone, I'm on day 6 and I've lost 11lbs so far and I'm feeling happy and seeing results! Does anyone have diet coke on SS and what's everyone's opinions on scales, digital or mechanical or do you just get your consultant to weigh you? Anyone fancy a buddy?
 
Wow- well done you- great start. I would lovea buddy as am struggling to get started again. I have digital scales and in the past have drunk diet coke with no issues and no effect on losses
 
Ok, that would be fab! You've done if before and are getting going again, does that mean your in knowledge? I have another stone and a half to loose, well two if I have it my way! What about you?
 
Coke zero is better than diet coke, something to do with citric acid, the cambridge water flavouring powder is lovely too, If I feel hungry I blend a load of ice with a bit of water and 1 scoop of powder, and it's a tasty snow cone that takes me a long time to eat, it's great xx
 
Hi Nomorecakes-as a baker I am loving your name :) well done on your loss so far that's great! My CDC said that diet coke and coke zero are ok but coke zero is better so I always try and have that when I can, and only had coke zero for the first few weeks which was good because you can't buy it everywhere so it made me have to drink water!! You'll drop the next 1.5/2 stone no problem I'm sure! Xx
 
Hi DawnValentine, yes I haves weakness for cakes lol!! Thank you for your advice about the coke, I get so bored sometimes of the lack a drinks rather than the food! I feel I'm getting there though, I've never had so many flavoured teas and coffees in the kitchen before lol!!

How is your journey going? X
 
Hi ChrissyRiley, thank you for your tips, I will try that and get some coke zero! Bet they don't sell that in the pub lol!! I can't have the flavourings for water yet, when do I get that? After 2 weeks of SS?
 
Some pub's do :p the blended ice I make would be cracking with a measure or two of vodka ;) it's so refreshing! so how's the 1st week going? Do you have a lot to lose?xx
 
Oh yes I bet it would lol, one to try when the weight is gone! It's going well, I've got my first way in on Monday, my consultant is on holiday so it will be 10 days! Fingers crossed, my own scales have pleased me, going to try not to go on them anymore! I have ideally another 2 to 2.5 stone to loose. I'm out with friends tonight so I will have chicken and salad, the no dressing isn't inspiring me though! How about you?
 
I really have no idea what I weigh as I haven't seen my CDC she's on holiday so being weighed on tuesday, I got rid of my scales a few weeks ago so I have no clue how I'm doing, she set me a 14lbs in 2 weeks goal to meet... I dunno if I'll have done it as I had 2 days off plan at the weekend for my friend's birthday celebrations, so I'm very nervous lol! But if I've managed it I'll have 2 and a half stone lleft to lose :) xx
 
So our aim is about the same! Fantastic, I'm sure you'll be fine! I'm tempted to do the same with my scales if I'm honest! You become obsessed otherwise!
 
I was weighing daily, It got to a point that if I saw a really good loss I'd just think well one meal won't hurt, and I'd eat then be disappointed when I was weighed officially (I know, what did I expect!) So I gave them to my Mum and told her not to let me use them, So I'm completely blind this week, and last week, I'm looking forward to weigh in, roll on Tuesday!xx
 
Yes I totally get that, I have 4 sets of scales, would stand on them all and go with the lowest, they are evil things lol!! Well good luck for Tuesday! Mines Monday but it's not til 6:30pm, wish it was first thing really for a better result! Xx
 
Whatever the result I'd knock another lb off, due to water and shakes throughout the day xx
 
Hello! Yes I know what you mean about the lack of variety of drinks- although to be fair I just used to drink either orange juice or wine before so there wasn't much variety there either haha! My journey has gone so well until this week- have gone off the rails a bit which is not good. Have been feeling exhausted and really struggling being in an office environment. I've just eaten a plate of bloody chips for lunch- couldn't be much more off plan if I tried! Have decided will just write off today and start again from fresh tomorrow after my weigh in. Need to find a strategy to deal with everyone else eating around me at work though, partly I'm just eating out of boredom as well as this jobs not the most exciting at the moment.

Have days off plan massively effected you before Chrissy? I'm panicking I'm going to have blown it after my 2 this week but preying I'll be ok, even if I stay the same I won't be too upset.

I still weigh myself every day as it gets me through the week, it's a bit disappointing if you put on or if you stay the same but on the days when you've lost it spurs me on to keep going! Each to their own though, everyone's different about it but it would scare me not knowing. Fingers crossed you'll have a massive loss after all that time!!! Xx
 
Wine and orange juice is bliss compared to black tea and water! I guess we are being punished for being overweight lol!!

Oh it's hard around other people I know, I'm out tonight and sure it's going to be hard!

You can't beat yourself up for eating though, it's not always easy to be good! Xx
 
Haha yes that's true! Fingers crossed for you tonight I'm sure you'll be fine- I suppose it about remembering that your there for the company and not for the food- difficult for someone who

I have three choices...piri piri chicken breast with coleslaw (wouldn't eat) and salad for 448cals, skinny chicken breast burger with salad (won't eat bun) for 448cals or chicken caeser salad for 384....which would you go for?
