Back again...trying to lose 7 stone! Buddies wanted and any support will be gratefully recieved!

My biggest problem is motivation....

any advice please??

Hi, I'm restarting Cambridge today determined to stay on track. Lost 2 1/2 stone less than 2 years ago and put 1 1/2 stone back on. Tried many other diets since to try and maintain the weight lose but always found myself cheating on them. Cambridge is the only diet I believe in and hopefully it will work as well as it did last time.

You can both do this ladies!
I restarted Cambridge just over a week ago, had my first weigh in yesterday morning and have lost an amazing 11lbs. I've done the diet before and never lost that (maybe it's down to me having more to shift now!)
Just get stuck in, the first week is the hardest but you've both done it before so can do it again.
Just think of the new you when the warm summer weather finally gets here!
Good luck ladies, let us know how you're getting on. X

Heyall, I have been working nights, had my first weigh in and put on 4lb...maybe this is something to do with being hypothyroid and not yet treated...saw my doctor today and she has referred me on. I have spoken to the doctor regarding this diet and she advised that I continue with it!! So I am starting gain tomor...very upset! please keep spurring me on guys!

very fed up :(

Sorry to hear you're fed up, do you mean you've put weight on even though you were sole source? If so, I would deffo say it's your medical condition. I also work nights and actually find that helps as I'm not sitting at home all evening in front of the tv. Lol.
Hope you get it sorted soon so you can start on what you want to achieve.
Keep going, you'll get there! Xx

My doc reckons that if I can lose 2lb per week then I will be lucky. but I will try.....

Well, that's over 1/2 stone a month so still in the right direction. Keep chipping at it, every little bit helps, you can do this. Xx

Thank you...I'm gonna try. How are you doing??x

Week one was brill. Fantastic and very unexpected weight loss of 11lb. This 2nd week, not so good. After eating my entire body weight of Chinese on weds night, I've struggled to get back in the zone. Mother's Day today and weigh in tomorrow, not a very good combo is it!
I hope I've lost this week but of I haven't then I've only myself to blame. Still determined to stick with it. X

Hi ladies.

I'm a returner too, on day 3 and feel totally on track to do it this time. One of the things I keep reminding myself of is that food will still be there in 12 weeks, or 16 weeks or whenever I'm ready.

Also, I know diet advice always says to ask yourself 'do you really want this food right now or do you want to be skinny?' and the answer is always I want the food! So I ask myself how will I feel tomorrow morning, and the answer is always that I would wish I hadn't eaten. So I stay strong and don't.

If you've done a week or more you can totally keep it up - its so worth it!

Hope you're staying strong.

I'm back again....I started on Friday as had some soups left from December... Had my first appointment with my cd counselor today....got weighed and now I'm the heaviest I've ever been at 14st1lb. Feeling really low....just thinking forward to next week and thinking how much better i'll be feeling then after a good loss this week (I hope) xx

Good luck to both of you. I'm back today after a wedding long weekend that has actually turned into a 7lb gain.
It's the getting back on it that counts I suppose. Feeling a bit grim as still got a long way to go but hopefully I can stick with it. :)

Just think, every single day you'll weigh less than you did yesterday. So each day is a step towards being where you want to be :) A few months of discomfort is so so worth it.

I'm a returner too - seeing consultant tomorrow. Lost 3 half stone 5 yrs ago - put it back on again after an emotional time. Lost 10lbs on slimming world - in 3 months!! So decided to boost things & get my bum in gear ...
Must admit the thought of shakes does scare me - but I will succeed. Oh and keep away from those who love to sabotage my diet plans - which ever one I'm on! All the best I know with the correct support we can do this xxx

You can definitely do it mini minx! After the first few days I actually think this is easier than cal counting or any other plan as it takes the choice away. I'm on day 6 and feeling great! So glad I committed this time. Hopefully you'll be in the same place next week!

I feel the same, once I'm the swing of things I find it easy. Other calorie counting diets don't work for me.... I'm all or nothing. On night shifts at the moment so finding the first few days hard as the night staff always order takeaways.... But staying strong. Gonna have my soup and drink loads and stay out the staff room.... Not having a 'start tomorrow moment' again. Been saying that everyday since Christmas. This is it this time!! :)

Absolutely CallieF! Every time I've given up the pleasure of giving in is way outweighed with the misery of having failed myself again. You really don't need the food on Cambridge, so its just about what you want, and do you want a takeaway or do you want to be slim? I know what my answer is!

Well I was good during my night. Tonnes of takeway sitting there and I didn't have or want any. Even at 4 am (which is when I tend to get picky)... Looking forward to my last night tonight... Then can get into a better routine... I find it quite hard on nights as have a permanent headache due to tiredness anyway..back to normality tomorrow :)

That's amazing! Should be very pleased with yourself, it's not easy to resist!
