I want my confidence back!!

Well I've been on this diet for 6 weeks now and just decided to do a little diary so I can look back on my progress as I continue my weight loss journey.

I'm on SS+, and am not finding it too hard. I have my moments, but I've so far managed to resist temptation for the most part. I did cave in and eat half a boiled egg last week, but missed a product that day too, so maybe it equals itself out?!

I started this diet as I'm fed up of being the biggest one of the group, whether it's work, family or friends! Also you know when you catch a glance of yourself in a shop window when you walk past I hardly recognised myself as the big lardy ass!

I've two kids and don't want them to have a fat mummy who can't play with them and is teaching them bad eating habits.

I'm also getting married in April and want to look the best I can!! I don't want to wobble & bounce down the aisle!

I was just generally fed up. The final straw came when after attending baby Bootcamp I bought 5 chocolate cookies from M&S, and ate them all, despite just having done a load of exercise!! Another thing was eating a bar of green and blacks chocolate a night!! I love sweet stuff and this was my huge downfall!

I've had to wait until I finished Breastfeeding my baby to start, but my head is in the right place and so far so good!!

Here are my losses so far:

Start weight - 14st 5lb
Week 1 - -7lb
Week 2 - -5lb
Week 3 - -5lb
Week 4 - -3lb
Week 5 - -3lb

I've lost a total of 10cm from my waist which is amazing too! Even my usual small jeans are getting loose! :)

Bring on week 6 and I'll take what ever it throws at me!! :)

Ooh you have done BRILLIANLY. Your start weight is similar to mine - would LOVE a 7lb loss in week one!

Have you chosen your dress for April yet? :)

Everyone seems to get really good results in week 1, which step are you starting on?

I have picked my dress and I bought it! It was too small at the time, but it'll be too big come wedding day if I carry on like this. I'll have to get it taken in. It is beautiful though!!

Xx

I'm on SS - I am very much an all or nothing kind of girl! :D

I'm SS+, 4 products rather than 3 plus a meal though, first week I did step 2 to ease myself into it. It's going okay and is nice not to worry about portion sizes or weighing just yet :)

So we have a wedding on Saturday, it's our best friends and the reception is at a restaurant, so there isn't much chance of getting away without eating anything. I had to choose the lesser of two evils from the set menu and choose beef. I'm hoping that I can use the kids as a distraction for my not eating much of my meal, I'm planning on only eating a tiny bit. I'm actually feeling a little anxious about it. I know I won't be drinking and my friend has offered to pick the kids up so I can stay out with my fiancee and the wedding party.
I'm going to be surrounded by so much temptation it'll be a real test of my will power!!

first of you will go to the wedding and no matter what you will enjoy it. even if i hear of drunken table dancing (break ketosis first is my only rule here) cause you took your friend up on the babysitting offer or you ate more than you thought was possible it is the day after that is really important, back on the bus. actually just make up stories of drunken table dancing im needing to live vicariously through others just now;)
if you are 100% as virtuous as you can that is fantastic but no ripping strips off yourself if not. ( if your looking for an out for eating, your tummys been dodgy and your not feelin 100% nobody but nobody will want to know about )
jxx

Do you think if I go to step 3 the previous day and the day of the wedding that will be enough to be able to have a drink? I'm not a big drinker but if like to have a glass our two. Another reason I'd like to let my hair down is we got engaged in July and due to one thing or another we never got to go out to celebrate xxx
Ps I'll dance on the tables for you and swing from the chandelier :)

oh i can see a trip to casualty for us then!

my gut reaction is that should be ok but you d need to check with your counsellor cause it is so important to get it right. i would ensure you did have some controlled carbs those days. think you should go for its not every day you get the chance to celebrate getting engaged and with a wee one get the a night out with the man of your dreams:) make sure your back here to soon to get a butt kick if your struggling to get the bit between your teeth or lots of praise if not
jxx

Very true!! I'm gonna let my hair down and enjoy myself :) then Sunday I can sort myself out. I'd best be good as gold until then :)
I'd best take some flats out with me if I'm gonna be dancing the night away :) eek I'm excited now x

Well after a perfect week, I went out on Saturday and let my hair down, I did eat and had a few drinks (not many) but it was just what I needed. Back on the diet again now though and determined to be 100% now until Christmas.
I felt amazing though after all the weight I had lost, so I'm looking forward to losing even more :)
Even though I'd had a 'naughty' day, I still lost 1.5lb this week too.
And so the journey to even more confidence is back on :) just hope I have a nice easy week x

I put my size 14 jeans on and not only can I get them past my thighs, but I can also do them up and they are fitting well enough to leave the house in!! Off to get my girly from nursery with a spring in my step and size 14s on! Lush :)

So so tired today, littlest child has been up since 4am, my eyes wouldn't even let me go near them with my contact lenses today!! It's going to be a long day, these are always the hardest ones to keep on track! Previously I'd probably sit on the sofa and scoff biscuits and chocolate, but today we are going out for a nice walk in the fresh air to blow the cobwebs away, then home for the kids lunch and my porridge :)
I'm starting to feel so much better about myself and now I'm in a size 14, I'm looking forward to then next size down... Size 12 here I come!

You sound as if you are doing so well! I hope to have equal success as you in the next 6 weeks up to xmas :) x

Thank you :)
I'm quite proud of myself so far, I think I've got my head around it and am just determined that this will work and I'll stick at it. It's mind over matter :)
X

hey there slinky hips!

did we have a little spring in our step this day? i do blooming hope so!

glad it is all ticking along so nicely

Ha ha, oh yes! Makes a change from bouncing ;) I'm just feeling so good right now!
How is step 3 treating you? You are doing fantastic x

Another successful 6 days, one left until weigh in :) one week closer to my goal!! I'm feeling great, OH had a Chinese last night, wasn't even that bothered, just looked at the prawn crackers and could see the fat oozing out!

Think I'll make a quick appointment at the doctors this week, my TOTM has been all over the place this last 6 weeks and I'm not sure if it's to do with the diet, or just to do with having the first one since having a baby, but best get it checked out... I'm on the mini pill so shouldn't be having anything, but I had to take antibiotics at the start of Cambridge and then it's been most of the time since then... :(

Well hoping for a good result tomorrow !! X
