Hi everyone,

I am back for a 2nd time after putting all the weight I lost last time back on plus more. I have my weigh in tonight to see what I weigh which will be loads!! So motivated to do it this time and get all the way to goal. I am guessing I will have about 9 stone to loose to do this so it will be a long journey. I like coming here for the support and the inspiration from other people to keep me going.

A bit about me, I have 4 children and work 24 hrs a week and I am also studying to become a chartered accountant. So I have a very busy life and have just given in to junk food in the evenings mainly. I always feel I deserve it for having no time to myself until about 8pm when I get home after working collecting kids and taking them to various activites, football, gymnastics etc. I know its no excuse and I can not believe how awful I look. Its like I am trapped inside of me. I hate buying clothes as I am always looking for long tops in big sizes to try to cover me up as best I can. I am sick of being the fat person where ever I go. Its not me!!! Photos are always a shock and I am never in them really. All our family pics are of my husband and my kids. Its like I will look back and not excist. I want to be able to run around with my children. I want to be able to have a bath and be able to move. I want to go and buy nice clothes because I can and they look good. I want to feel like I am attractive to my husband. I want me back basically. I am hoping that Cambridge will do this for me. I feel like the boxes are all being ticked in my life, marriage tick, job tick, children tick and I just need to tick me now.

Is anyone else in a similar postion with lots of weight to loose? I would love to chat to you and share our weekly losses. I will be weighing in every Monday evening. Fingers crossed for a brighter future.

Thanks for reading.

So I had my weigh in last night and I am currently 18stone 3pounds. I have so much to loose. Its about half of me. Had my first tetra this morning. I am at work so hoping the day goes quickly. I found last time I did it that the first 3-4 days were the hardest and then I got use to it and found it good especially when the weight dropped off. Roll on first weigh in.

I completed day 1 :). I am now on day 2 and feeling good. I can't wait to go in to ketosis to get rid of the hunger but I hate the horrible taste in my mouth when in ketosis. I have a really bad cold which is annoying as its making these first few days on CD harder than they need to be. At the moment its a case of get through each day until first weigh in and then I find it gets easier. So I need the next 6 days to pass quickly :)

Hi Lizzie, I know how you feel with losing weight then putting it all back on. That is why I'm back here for my second attempt and my last! Well done on completing day 1 and with a cold:) Thinking about the weigh in definitely gets you through, that got me through 7 weeks last time and i know it will get me through this time. Hope today is a another good day for you!

I'm not starting for another 2 weeks yet got to wait for payday :( I started slimming world in Jan and have switched from that to low carb and back since and lost 10lb, but I just need quicker weight loss which is why i'm here and I find that cambridge for some reason is the only diet i've ever stuck to for long enough to lose a big amount of weight on. I need to follow the steps properly this time so I keep it off though. So anyway I thought i'd get on here early and get inspired and in the mood for my journey to begin :)

Hi, I'm thinking of starting the CD. I need to lose approx 3st and just looking for inspiration! I have a more than full time job and 3 children and a husband about to restart the dukan diet so I need a diet which doesnt involve me doing lots of cooking as i'll just get bored and give up! I am going to see my doctor on friday to make sure he's happy then speak to a consultant. But people seem to vary in their opinions of the first few days - some say its absolute hell! Others say its difficult but do-able. I think I will need to be on the main part of the diet for approx 3 months and it seems an awful long time to just drink soup and milkshakes!

Kezzy - Thats a good idea to get motivated before you begin. I am the same I tried eating healthy and the gym but the weight loss was to slow. I love the fast results with Cambridge. I am planning to do Cambridge for a little while to shift the majority of my weight and then work up the steps and carry on with the gym again.

Alex - Welcome, I would definately say go for it with Cambridge. Its amazing and works really well. You sound like you have my kind of lifestyle which is certainly not easy. The first few days are not to bad and once your in ketosis you will be fine. You don't need to see the doctor before you start as when you see the consultant if your BMI is above 40 like me :( then they send a form to your doctor letting them know you are on the diet. It sounds like if you only have 3 stone to loose then your BMI is probable not to high and you can just start. :)

Thanks, you've inspired me, I'm going to phone the consultant!

Morning everyone,

I am now on day 3 and going strong. Feel smaller already haha. Hoping to be in the 17s at weigh in Monday which I am sure I will be as can't see me having less than a 4 pound loss in my first week. Think ketosis might be starting already as have that horrible taste in my mouth . Just one of the side effects though on the way to being thin. How are you all doing today?

Consultant came this morning and I've started! I am starting on Step2 which means I get some food - hoping I still lose decent amount each week - but only time will tell. I had a cappuccino shake earlier which was surprisingy nice! Excited to have started and hoping the novelty doesnt wear off too soon!

How are you doing? Well done for geting to Day3 - if the first 4 days are the worst - you're nearly there!

Hi Lizzie you're doing so well! Great news about the ketosis I love knowing that I've gone into ketosis, that's when things get easier:) kind of lol.
Hope you have a great day!

Alex - Amazing news that you have started. Well done. I only have the banana tetras as don't like the ones you have to make up, to powdery for me. I am doing well. I normally go for a drink at the pub when my son is at football on a Thursday but I have told her I can only have water, boring lol.

Kezzy - It is a nice feeling going in to ketosis as thats when any hunger pains go to. To be honest I have not really felt hungry anyway. I bet you can not wait to start the diet now!

I am going to Royal Ascot in June so would love to get as much weight off by then so I can go and buy a nice dress that I feel good in. Fingers Crossed :)

Hi guys

I'm also starting in a couple of weeks (Saturday 22nd February) on SS. I have about 10st to lose......such a lot!! I'm hoping for around a stone a month :)

Hi Teebee - You are similar to me in the weight to loose. Seems like a lot doesn't it but try and cut it down to smaller goals. My consultant said to work towards the mini goals of getting my BMI lower by 5 a time which is quite good. It can be hard looking at the finish line when it seems sooooo far away.

Haha I really can't, never been so excited to start a diet before!! I'm so sick of food tbh, choosing what to have, cooking it, trying to please the whole family whilst still eating healthily! It's so much easier on cambridge because they can have whatever they want without it affecting me lol.

Hi Teebee I start on the 25th so around the same time :)

Well day 7 for me :). I have my weigh in tonight and really hoping for a good loss. Can not believe I have done the first week, feels so good! I have completely stuck to plan and not had any slip ups even when temptation has been in my way. I had a very busy weekend with football and house work which kept me occupied. How is everyone else getting on?
