Day 1....

Hi all!

I am on Day 1 and am hoping to lose about 2 stone in 7 weeks. I had my consultation last night and my consultant put me on 810 as my BMI was at 40 but I would think only just.... She says that I can move to SS as soon as its down but I'm a bit disappointed and worried that I won't see the same big losses. Also I run 2x a week and she has told me not to do that either but I don't want to stop!

Question is... should I carry on running and should I skip the meal?

I had a starting BMI of 41. (15 days ago) , my consultant put me on ss as she know that I would be under the threshold very quickly and she was right. Ive lost 1stone in 2 weeks and my BMI is now 37.5. I am on 3/4 products per day. 3 products on a normal day and 4 products on the shifts that I work 12 hr shifts. I was advised not to do any strenuous activities as I am on a very low calorie diet. After speaking to her last night she said I could do some walking , swimming etc as my body has got used to the plan and will react a bit better with exercise. Had I done exercise the first 2 weeks , i think i may have got light headed and fainted. I feel better within myself and stronger the longer i am on plan. I guess what im trying to say is this , not all consultants give out the same information. I think you need to listen to your own body and be sensible. If you have enough products for 3 a day then id say go for it but this is only my opinion. but im not really qualified to advise you on the running , i can only tell you my story. Hope this makes sense lol xxx good luck xxx

Hi Arliparli

I have just posted to your weightloss diary as we are pretty much at the same start weight - you have done so well. I think I can live without the running for a week or so but really undecided about the SS -v- 810. I have enough for 3 packs a day and yesterday just thought, well I'll do SS anyway but today I'm wondering if that's the right thing to do... I think I might try SS and see how i get on...

Thanks for replying x

I would deffo avoid the running for the first few weeks, you'll feel bad enough going into ketosis.

Have you looked at ss+? Very simular to 810 and losses are as good as ss.

My advice to you is to stick with it and just try and get thtrough the first week. It's tough going into ketosis but completly worth it. Also read on here, I stalked this forum when I first started. The search bar is also good if you want to know something specific.

Good Luck x

It's trial and error honey. This is my first and hopefully my last attempt on Cambridge as I hope never to put it all back on. Every day is a new day on this diet with new experiences. Some days good and some days not so good but a lot of the not so good days are circumstantial. I'm enjoying it so far and with the help and support from each other , we can do this **** !!!!! Good luck xxxx

Thanks guys. Its nice to have someone to ask! I am going to try SS+ for this week and see how it goes - hopefully by next week my BMI will be done enough so that i can officially be on SS+

xx

you will 1 million percent have a lower BMI next week. You always have a big loss your first week , averaging 6-10lbs x

Hi

It seems a shame to stop running as it's a positive healthy thing. I go to a health club roughly 3x a week and gym for an hour and swim for an hour and I am doing step three because of this. My consultant is happy for me to do this as knows I want to get for and avoid saggy skin as I loose the weight so we discussed it and decided upon step three which I find absolutely fine for the exercise I want to do and I find I have so much more energy to get more out of my workouts. However everyone is different and def listen to your body. X

Hi

I went for a short run on Sunday and it wasn't too bad. I am happy to run - just worried that it will have a negative impact on my weight loss... I am thinking of having another short run tonight as well though as I really don't want to get out of the habit

Do it for as long as u r happy too. You will still loose, but you will be keeping your fitness levels up too, getting that metabolism going. I'd def think about step three tho. X

Well I was told to do Step two but I wanted to do SS as although I have a bit to lose, I am only intending on doing CD for about 8 weeks and then I might swap to low carb. On Sunday I went to a BBQ and couldn't resist a bit of chicken and salad but then went for a run to compensate.

I am really hungry though and energy levels are really low so I am thinking of swapping to Step 2 and having a meal as at this rate I'm not sure if I'll last another 7 weeks.

Weigh in tomorrow...

Ahh well at least we are both in the same boat (

I'm on a bit of a deadline though so it's particularly annoying... You just think, I've not eaten all week then you have one bad day and its all out of the window! And of course, I felt terrible yesterday as my body got used to CD again... that didn't help!
