Sabotage!!!

Hey all, this is my first post. I'm currently on slimming world and have just gained my half stone award last week. For the last two weeks we've had to live at my parents as with two small children and home improvements going on we thought it'd be best.

Perhaps I'm looking at it too negatively but my mum seems to be a bit of a saboteur... My mum is very slim and is one of those people who can eat what she likes and often complains she wishes she could put on a bit of weight (cow!) and I've found that since getting my award she's been buying desserts every night but then when it comes dishing them out she says she's too full!

We had resigned ourselves to not eating SW style for a couple of weeks as we're under their roof but she knows we're still trying! I know I didn't have to eat them but didn't want to appear ungrateful!

She also makes (what seem like) smug remarks when she sees me snacking and makes a jibe about the syns in it...

I just feel a bit down, and so lethaegic after eating non SW for two weeks! Can't wait to get back on it when we're home again!!

What do you think to my mums behaviour... Am I just being a negative ninny?

I feel like my mum does the same. I've cut down my portion sizes and now she makes remarks about how it isn't much and asks if it's all I am having. It's really frustrating because my new portion sizes are actual normal portion sizes and it's like she is trying to get me to go back to how I was. My boyfriend does the same as well. Whenever we go out, he will ask if I fancy something like a fizzy drink or chocolate and then when I say I can't he will be like oh yeah you can't have it you're on a diet. He also suggests really calorific things for dinner.

I know how you're feeling and it really is frustrating. I don't think my mum does it on purpose, I think she just naturally wants to see me eat well when I come to visit. Your mum probably didn't mean to sabotage your diet, maybe she just enjoys buying desserts for everyone. As soon as your back in your own home you can get back to normal, try not to worry about it. :)
