Hi all. I am going try dukan tomorrow and I will be going to the library as they have the book there to borrow. Can someone just answer if the following is allowed:
Muller light yogurts / pepsi max / passata. I know you can't have veg but can you have salad leaves, cucumber, onion etc. Many thanks.

Initially, on attack, no you can't have any of those foods you mention... (well a Pepsi Max if you like...).

To give yourself an optimum shot at the diet, you really do need to do some homework beforehand, if only to have the right foods in... I'd recommend you get the book (or do some reading here on the stickies), write some menus, and think of starting properly next Monday, fully armed with some knowledge.

Get yourself some oatbran in, for instance... and have a go at making a galette or some muffins, as they really are a lifesaver when boredom strikes.

Keep posting

PS - at your current weight, a short two to three day spell on attack will suffice and then you will be able to introduce veg/salad...

Thank you so much. Been to the library today and got the book plus a dukan cooking book. Brought my oat bran ready and been reading through the food list. To be honest don't feel too well today so I am all ready to start tomorrow. Bring on the weight loss.

Good luck! Open up a diary in the diary section perhaps and tell us all about yourself and what you're eating and someone will be happy to help if you have any queries... or difficult moments...

Welcome pos!

Did you manage to start today?

I have indeed. Weighed myself which was a bit of a gloom as not been this heavy for a long time. Started the day with ham omlette. 1 whole egg, 3 egg whites.

How did Day 1 go? All set for Day 2?

Are your stats up to date?

Hi Bonkers. Day 1 complete. Put sample of my days food on for the experienced to view and all is good. Just got to up oat bran to 1.5 tbsp as only had one. Feel really good so far though to be honest after a hectic day I really fancied a pepsi max and vodka. Didn't give in; so pleased I didn't. That can wait till further down the line. Will check stats when on laptop in about an hour. My starting weight is 10st 11lbs and would like to get to 9st 7lbs. Thanks for asking, this forum is great.

Day 2 has gone well. had a few carb cravings but stuck with it. Drinking loads and needless to say going to the loo loads lol. Got some lovely smoked fish reduced to 94p in asda. Seasoned with piri piri and cottage cheese, yum. Back at work tomorrow so packed lunch ready.

Ooh I do like a bargain!

Actually you can do v well with the bargain protein, even regular deals - I roasted a whole chicken at the beginning of this week, and still have some for a curry tomorrow. Cost around £3 and I've had 3 meals so far plus some stock for soups etc.

I am the bargain queen and hate to pay over the odds. I am sooo tempted to get on the scales but I am going to leave it for 7 days. I love Icelands cooked dice chicken breast. £5 a bag and can coom from frozen. No excuses then as always in the freezer. I often defrost a quantity and leave it in the fridge. Great to pick at a even quicker when making tea.

That's a great start... I hope you're not going to stay on attack for 7 days though, which would be far too long for someone of your current weight (and probably won't help you lose more). I'd say to move to alternating PV and PP days on day 3 or 4 (remembering that the protein needs to still be high, think 2/3 of your meal and 1/3 veg). Most of us increase the ratios as time goes on, but initially after attack, that'll be good.

Have you had a go at a galette or muffins yet? Even now no longer on Dukan, I still have mine every morning!

Hi. Thanks for the advice. I will be honest and say I was going to do attack for 5 days. I haven't tries the galette or muffins yet but the galatte is top of the list to make. I will also when on cruise be definitely trying the bread.

Oh bloody hell. Hope it doesn't ruin it but been drinking loads of sf squash and this is not allowed on plan. Now drinking loads of water to try to compensate.

Good Luck this is my 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] time on the plan and I knowit works. I have found its organization with the food, I always have foodcooked and in the fridge ie cold chicken, boiled eggs, NF cottage cheese, 97%fat free ham. I started on again on 23[SUP]rd[/SUP] December when my 7 year olddaughter said Daddy are you pregnant that was my wake up call. Dropped 42 poundsince then and feel great. All I can say is don’t give up it gets hard but it’swell worth it in the long run.

Thank you so much and well done on your weight loss. That's brilliant. Feeling really good so far. Will done 1 or 2 days more of attack and then start on cruise.

Your welcome and thank you, I am still on cruise for a few more weeks and I am use to it now. I am doing it the old fashioned way 5 and 5 I just find it easier with my work schedule. There are some very good helpful people on here so keep us updated :) I hung a shirt up on my bedroom door I wanted to fit into and walked past it every day I was determined to fit into it and I do.

Hey pos!

Have you moved on to Cruise now? Enjoying the veggies?

I had a slip up as well during attack - didnt know tolerated foods were not allowed! But everything sorts itself out when you get back to the allowed foods and stick to the plan :D
