This is the last day of food for possibly quite some time. I have a huge weight to lose, I have done it before on lighterlife but stress and babies have gradually helped it creat up to my original weight. I couldn't afford lighterlife this time so after reading the forums I have purchased 2 months worth of exante. So from tomorrow I am planning on weigh ins daily for two weeks then possibly every 3-4 days. I have been reading about people drinking coke zero and diet coke, is this allowed?? Thought it was only water, I'm hopeful it is to help me through my night shifts.
 
I lost 17.5lbs in my first week last week and I was drinking 2 500ml bottles of coke zero sometimes and it did not affect my loss.

My test will be nights Wednesday and Thursday but I should be ok. Exante is good and the weight loss last week boosted me to stay on TS until 1month supply is gone.

Good luck with your restart. Coke zero is fine, best steer clear of the diet coke though. It contains citric acid which can mess with your ketosis which is the most important thing when you're on a VLCD. That applies to most diet drinks so you've got to make sure to check the ingredients. :)

Good luck starting! And yes avoid Citric acid like the plague! Coke zero and dr pepper zero have been great for me =)
 
Thanks, I've just had my last feast, just finishing the last of my wine then I'm on it, fingers crossed. Christmas is my target. I lost 6 1/2 stone in 5 months on lighterlife, hoping for simular results, can't wait to lose some to start jogging again. Going to start with some walking and swimming when I can fit it in. So here goes.....
 
Well this is day one... Probably not a good day to start as it is my first of 3 night shifts so need to spread 3 packs over 24 hours as I won't get sleep until tomorrow now. Thinking of having shake about lunch time, bar at tea time then take porridge to work. Unfortunately it's the work but I'm worried about, there is nothing I am able to do to keep my mind occupied if I'm not busy. I would like to lose 99lb and there is about 195 days till Christmas. Do able???!! I will post back in morning with day one loss, if I know people can see it, I am more likely to stick with it.
 
First day was a struggle feeling quite hungry (which I'd expect) but delighted to see 4lb weight loss on the scales

Wow, just had a sneezy jump on scales as I have just woken up (from my night shift), another 2lbs lighter!!!! It really does motivate you when you see results like that, think ill wait till after my sleep tomorrow to get weighed ???
 
Day 2.

2lb off, still feeling a little hungry but I have been on nights. Last one tonight so hoping to see good results on my rest days as I should be able to get a little more exercise in during the day.

Sorry missed day 3 diary entry as so tired, no sleep after nights. I've now stayed the same for last 2 days. Hoping that's my night shifts as I do often vary a lot over the 3 nights. Hoping it will settle down tomorrow. I've not felt hungry at all today, except when I nearly forgot to have my last pack. I've decided to start weighing myself on the morning on
F my first night shift and my second rest day, gives me 4 days inbetween.
I have stuck to it 100% so far even managed without coke zero. I've started to write down some little treats that I can have as a reward for every stone I lose.

Ill update again tomorrow hopefully with a loss!!!

1lb down total 9lb ?
Think I'm only going to weight every 4 days now, need on average 1/2lb a day to get me to target at Christmas. Wouldn't be too disappointed if I don't make it 100% as long as I'm nearly there, OH will have no excuse that he doesn't know what to get me for Xmas cos my wardrobe will be screaming out for clothes. ?

Hi Zoe..I have been 9 days so far..really hungry today but the feeling passed after drinking a big glass of fizzy water. The interesting thing I found before when doing this diet was that although the coke zero is allowed, when I drank it it made me feel quick hungry. I don't know whether it was the contents of it or the body response to it but i found it make me very hungry. I don't know whether it was the coke or the mental connection I have to eating junk food with it triggered food urges? just a thought as I used to feel awful hunger pangs constantly and since I decided not to use it (or bouillion) I have less cravings for foods? Hope that helps..keep going, you an do it!
 
Thank you, I've not had anything other than plain or fizzy water so far, I do find fizzy water easier to stomach in large quantities and find I am more satisfied. Ill try to stay clear unless in an emergency. Was planning to get weighed today but OH took my scales to work and left them in car, I was in such a rush I couldn't get them. I am pleased as I have put my work trousers on today and I don't have to breath in to fasten them :)
