So here goes...

A little background on me. I'm 37 (soon to be 38) and have never been able to call myself slim. Lost quite a bit of weight a few years back (was lovely to fit into size 12 for the first time) but put it all back one (and then some) during and after pregnancy.

DD is now 18 months old and I am the heaviest I have ever been. I hate looking at myself in the mirror and decided enough is enough. I haven't got much time for exercising and due to foot injury can't do much cardio anyway. Hence the decision to try Exante. 4 week bumper pack arrived yesterday and it all looks a bit daunting... But I NEED TO DO IT! More for my daughter than even for myself. Wish me luck! The fight starts tomorrow...

So porridge (well, most of it) down. Tasted weird and towards the end made me gag... Not good as still got 5 left! Having a cup of black coffee helped. Must be strong!

So here I am, day 1 nearly done. It's not been too bad, apart form feeling light-headed and tired the whole day. Food-wise I've had:
Porridge oats for brekkie (vile) and a cup of espresso
Black Americano mid morning and 1/3 of a toffe&nut bar (edible)
The rest of the bar for lunch plus a cup of bullion
Spag bol with a splash of Tabasco and herbs for dinner (quite nice, actually)

Drank loads of water (both fizzy and still) and had a cup of green tea at break time. Now I'm looking forward to having coke zero with loads of ice as an evening treat. Hope tomorrow's good too!

Well done on getting your first day under your belt. Lots of water & drinks make it a bit easier to stick to plan.

Hope tomorrow goes just as well xx

Thank you Susie. Day 2 started with banana milkshake. Yum yum super yum!

So just had the curry for lunch with a splash of tabasco for extra kick. Really enjoyed it! So far, I'm finding the savoury meals more pleasant than the sweet (barring the yummy banana shake). Off to swap the rest of porridge and bars, methinks. ;)

So day 2 is almost done. I am proud of myself - still 100%, though caught myself salivating a few times today, especially when walking past TGI Friday's (and I don't even like their food that much)... I'm still feeling empty, tired and 'foggy' and find that the hardest time to get through is from 3-5 p.m., but I manage. Hubby is eating a late, lovely smelling dinner, daughter is in bed and I'm sat in front of the TV enjoying the Dr Pepper Zero with ice. Food eaten today:

*Banana shake for breakfast (lovely) and a cup of espresso.
*Cup of bouillon for mid-morning snack
*Curry for lunch (really enjoyed that, especially with an extra splash of Tabasco)
*Shepherd's pie for dinner (nice)
* Lots and lots of water (fizzy and still)

So all in all, quite a good day food wise. Here's to another OK one tomorrow!

You're doing really well Arya, you'll soon feel better when ketosis kicks in :)

I sure hope so, Katie! X

Well done for reaching day 3.

I love the Shepherds Pie, Sad I know but I look forward to it most evenings.

Have a good day xx

I had the shepherds pie most evenings on my first week I really liked it. I tend to have mostly eggs, bars and pancakes now. You're doing great, hope today is going well!

Day three is the worst in my experience so get through today and it should start getting a bit easier.

How's it been for you today Arya? Hope it's been a good one :)

So day 3 is almost done. It's been another 100%! Started off with a strawberry shake (really nice) with a cup of espresso, followed by my customary cup of bouillon mid day. I had mushroom risotto for lunch (not bad, though the consistency was weird) and red bean chilli for dinner (quite liked that one). Both the savoury meals had a splash of Tabasco in it (becoming addicted). Lots and lots of water throughout the day.

I haven't been feeling that hungry today, which is good, but seeing a colleague eat a mini waffle did make my mouth water (it's watering now)... Though, funnily enough, I felt really full after my dinner tonight. Have a bit of a headache now, not sure if it's diet related or the result of a 'head massage' by one of the hairdressing students at the college where I work ;)
I'm just gonna relax with a glass of Dr Pepper Zero and Jack Bauer :D Have a lovely evening, everyone!

Well done on getting day three successfully under your belt.

Sounds like a positive and successful day, keep going :) x

Thank you ladies! Bring on day 4!

Banana shake (really like this one) and double espresso down plus at least 2.5 glasses of water. Been feeling a bit 'out of balance' since last night but it may be the sinus infection I'm currently fighting. Contemplating having a shake for dinner, instead of a meal...
