Hi long term maintainers! Just wondering if anyone had some tips for getting through the festive period? I've been maintaining for almost 4 months now calorie counting and exercising and I don't want to go crazy over Christmas.

Any tips??

Cheers

Hey SC, I've been losing since starting in July and have hit my 3 stone target this week, so far I have not gained a single pound since starting my journey and I've had many treats and still managed to stay conrtolled. I am still losing as want to lose about another 10lbs but I think if its ok I can give some advice. Firstly well done on maintaining, its where the real work starts and the temptation sinks in! My plan for christmas (like it has been for weddings and birthdays since starting my journey) is to eat what I want on xmas day and boxing day, then get back on it. I know when I'm getting full and when I'm just being greedy so I'm going to enjoy myself but without going crazy. I think eating what I want will make sure I don't feel like I've missed out but I know I will make better choices (I.e not a whole box of pringles this year!).

Everyone is different but that's what I'm going to do :) good luck with everything

Thanks Hol

Your right, I've learnt a lot on this journey and its all about making better choices, I'll enjoy myself and have a few treats but keep it with reason and think about what I'm eating instead of just shovelling it in like I've done previously!!

Good luck with the rest of your losses! Xx
