Hi everyone,

Ive been reading the forum for a little while now and feeling very inspired by all of you.
Last year I started lighterlife dropped 4 stone (started around 18st7lb and dropped to 14st6lbs) :) then I went on holiday and christmas came around and I have crept backup to 15st5lbs and feeling blah:( I dont want to give up after all the hard work and can feel the extra pounds I have put on.
So starting with exante today (the cost of lighterlife and the 'group therapy' sessions didnt really work for me) and very excited but all im craving is pancakes :( I need to have a week of total to get back in the mindset and need some inspiration to stay motivated. How do you all make sure you stay focused - sometimes I cant fet rid of the thoughts shouting at me for bad food as much as I try lol :( help!!!

Hi Alladin all I can say is to ignore the thoughts, do and think about anything else but food when you know the bad thoughts are in your head. Distract yourself by doing something else, even stick on a pair of headphones and listen to a podcast, read a book, go for a walk -- anything!

As you'll know when you're in ketosis you won't feel hunger so it's only 'thought hunger' or usually in my case 'thought feel sorry for myself so I should have......' - we've just got to tough it out and wait for the thoughts to disappear.

Motivation I find easier as I could probably write a list of over 100 reasons that I want to lose weight - I've not done it yet but if it helps you to write one then do so and read it when you feel motivation is lacking.

Also reading peoples posts on here motivates me - that's why I'm on here so much :D

Good luck and please keep us posted as to how you're getting on.

Hi alladin, This is going to sound a bit bonkers but I allow my self to think about food, daydream about it even, usually after allowing myself to daydream for a few minutes without trying to tell myself how bad it is I feel better and carry on being 100%

Good Luck with it, you'll be back in the saddle in no time :)

I also watch tv shows on food and have to have a good sniff of everything that's cooked and the nicer it smells the better :D
