Here I go again.... Last time I move now. I've switched from ww, SW, calorie counting the lot! I exercise a lot and need to just simply eat healthy and train hard. Plans are not working, including calorie counting because as soon as I feel restricted/counting/synning I start being naughty! I'm a runner and I just want to be fit and healthy.
I'm 33, 5'4" and about 10st 2/3. I'll weigh in the morning to double check. I'm starting tomorrow, eating clean and training well. Wish me luck..... This has to be a lifestyle change now; not a diet x

Morning beauties

Weighed this morning at 10st 2 :)
I've bought a new book about marathon and half marathon training and nutrition for it so I'm going to apply this to my eating. I am out for a family meal tonight so I will have to make good choices while out. You basically have a hierarchy of foods groups you have to eat and you have to eat more of the higher ones than the lower ones and keep a tally. No measuring, no restrictions on WHAT you eat but they must follow a pattern. Sounds complicated but I get it and its basically healthy eating. It is quite high carb but again, is what I need for my training.
Out for a run tonight, not sure how far, I'll just see when I do it and whether the OH comes with me or not.

Breakfast: porridge oats with skimmed milk and honey

Snack: Brazil nuts

Lunch: Cous Cous and mackerel with salad
Apple

Dinner????? I'll update later.

This tally on page one I'll update as I eat! Gonna have a banana too today so that's another fruit in :)
Feel like I'm eating loads and not worrying-it's lovely. Feel energised already too :) x
 
It's so biting cold here that I'm going to postpone my run. It's so cold and in worried ill get a bad chest again so defo don't want to risk it. It's supposed to warm up after the weekend so I'll aim for a 6 miler on Saturday. That's 3 days rest. Tomorrow I'm doing a class and Friday doing an indoor short run (30 mins) rowing and some weights. I'm going to do more weights on Saturday after my run an then Sunday, Pilates IF I don't drink. Going for an Indian so I'm undecided if I'm drinking or not. Whatever happens, happens! I'm looking forward to two weeks off where I can throw myself into training an running and get the fitness back to where it was.
Declined pastries and cake at work today :) xxx
 
Just had some sweet corn as I won't eat until about 8:30 tonight and I know I'll be starving!!! Mmmmmm I love cold sweet corn :p
I'll add it to the tally lol x

Hello! I saw your diary on slimming world, but for much the same reasons As you I'm leaving slimming world too, and moving to healthy eating - So I came to check out the forum and saw your new diary too!

I'm marathon training and want to lose my last stone, but slimming world and other diets just aren't cutting it, so I'm going to try not counting, not weighing, just checking all the food I eat feeds my body nutritionally (on an 80/20 basis...)

What books are you using for nutritional advise, if you don't mind me asking?

Hey lovely, thanks for following!!! :) ill have a mooch on my kindle tonight and find out what it's called, and who it's by. It's really good advice on nutrition, pre, during and post marathons and half marathons and give u advice on the actual training and run itself!
Is this your first marathon? I'd like to do a full either at the end of this year or definitely next year. In the book, he says that the most important thing to do is get lean to improve running. I think what your doing (we're doing) is the best way, just listening to your body and filling it with good, clean food x
