I'm so going to do this! Been struggling to lose 10lb-14lbs and although it doesn't sound a lot it's getting me down! I'm fed up with my jeans feeling tight and I refuse to go up another size. I just want to be a comfortable size 10 to 12 in time for summer. So I've been trying to eat a paleo/clean eating lifestyle but had the tendency to fall off the wagon so I hope that by combining this with fasting I will a) speed up my weight loss and b) try to get out of the binging/guilt trip.
I'm going to fast Monday, Wednesday and Friday and try to eat clean the other days and keep my calories to 2000 but I'm not going to beat myself up if I eat the odd "bad" food and I'm not going to let it signal a binge. I'm also going to weigh in daily but I'll only put my weekly weight and measurements on here.

So stats are:

My mum only had a stone to lose & she did it fasting although she did 5;2 & she looks amazing & at 72 is comfortably a 12 again x
 
Thanks Lexie, that's good to hear! I just saw in the paper that George osbourne has lost 20lbs on the 5:2 diet!


Well today has been good, went gym this morning and burnt 600cals then had bbq with family, weighed and measured everything and came in at 498. Feeling a little bit headachy but good!!

Have been going through my hairy bikers diet book and planned out the weeks meals, feeling positive :)

Up/feast day today.
Woke up hungry at 4am but managed to get back to sleep then when I woke at 7am I wasn't nearly as hungry!
Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, Brie, chilli chutney and salad pitta for lunch and a banana. Hairy bikers one pot spicy pork and rice for dinner with tortilla chips and ice cream for pus. Also snacked on an apple and a Jaffa cake bar. 1720cals total for day.
Went gym with hubby this morning and did a weights session.
Feeling achy from the gym today but feel good I haven't gorged, tried on some summer clothes today which were not nearly as snug as I remember so that made me happy! Ooh and got my second assignment back today (I'm doing a degree with open uni) and got 86% so feeling. Very happy!!!
 
I have both the Hairy Bikers books, but the daft thing is I have never really looked at them, but thanks for the reminder :)
 
Yeah have a look through them, I'm pretty sure all of the receipes are under 500 cals and generous portions too!
 
What degree did you do dietninja? I'm doing aa100 at the mo hoping to get a BA in english literature and language.
 
Fast day today, had black coffee then lunch of two fried eggs in top if tomatoes, broccoli and red onion on a slice of red onion was yummy!
This evening had stir fried veg with zero noodles and chilli powder, very strange texture but did the job!
Had a lecture tonight so going to be late to bed and already dreaming about my breakfast think I'm going to have avocado, scrambled eggs and olives... Sounds weird but I love it! Ooh or maybe chorizo scrambled eggs decisions decisions!!!

Up day today:
Boiled eggs with toasted rye bread for breakfast, made a yummy avocado/guacamole salad for lunch and some dark chocolate and a banana
Dinner was prawn sag and a garlic pitta followed by an apple and elderflower lolly.
Now the bad bit have had a stressful evening at docs with my little boy as he has got severe constipation and ended up eating 4 Jaffa cake bars and also half a happy meal (oops) cals came in at 2300 and I went BodyPump this morning so could have been worse I suppose. That sugar monster is hard to control though!
Looking forward to my down day tomorrow!
 
Such a healthy day...until the mcd's, but let's face it, half a happy meal is very restrained! And four jaffas - I always polish off the pack! Well done you!
 
I'd say half a happy meal was a triumph! I'd have had a large quarter pounder meal, I make hubby take our son if he has one cos I know I couldn't revisit
 
Well I had a really rubbish nights sleep up with my little boys in pain, all overslept and twins were late for school. I just really couldn't face fasting and the Jaffa cakes and happy meal had left me craving sugar! Started doing the usual telling myself I'll start again on Monday and oh maybe I am happy as I am, then something snapped and I thought no I want to be slim and eating crap today will not stop being tired or make me feel better so I'm going to still to the diet.
So down day made a gorgeous green lentil curry for only 150 cals a portion! Had that for lunch with a garlic pitta and another portion for dinner with some zero noodles, sprinkled with corriander and lime juice... Was lush! Then had a passion fruit juice lolly. Came in at 509 cals. Feeling proud of myself for not giving up and looking forward to being able to enjoy my up days this weekend.
So hope I see a loss on the scales though, although the fast days are hard the diet seems a bit too good to be true iykwim? Just booked a camping holiday to Devon in 4 weeks ANC really want to be under 10 stone by then so I really hope it does work!!
