50lb challenge anyone???

Hi everyone!!

Today I finally hit 249.75lbs and thought I would see if anyone fancied a 50lb challenge. I'm currently losing weight through exercise and healthy eating so I'm in it for the long haul and was hoping that a bit of extra support could get me into the magic 1derland :)

Hiya, I weighed myself on Wednesday to find I was at my heaviest of 24st10lbs! So I'm up for it. I'm currently doing weight watchers x
 
I'll join. I need to lose 3 times that so this will be a good spur
 
Yay - we have momentum now :)

So since this post I now weigh 240lbs so I'm 10lbs down so far - I CAN NOT wait to be in 1-derland.

How did you guys want to treat this thread?? Did you just want it as a countdown or for some chat too? x
 
Yay - I've started a ticker off with targets - what diets do you both follow? I'm a healthy-ish eater with exercise and I'm a daily weigher at home. I dropped another 1/2lb this morning so I'm now down 10.5 lbs yay!!

Cool :) I'm following weight watchers online and I track my weight on a Wednesday. I did weigh myself this morning though and had lost 4lbs :) I had a big roast today though as haven't been feeling well and my boyfriend wanted to cook for me so I'm hoping this won't affect my weigh in tomorrow! Xx

Well done Gem - I've updated your ticker! Losing 4lb is fab especially in the run up to Christmas!! I keep on telling myself that if I can do it now I can do it anytime.

Sooo... My body is a bit weird, I'm a daily weigher and I'm pretty consistent with my food and exercise and found that I use to drop 1/2lb nearly every day when I first started. Then came the dreaded TOTM when I couldn't lose weight for love not money but then the week after I would just deflate and lose a good 4/5lbs a week, this happens like clockwork every 5 weeks lol. This week I am definitely having a deflating week and have lost despite missing an exercise class so I'm now at 235.75lbs - getting closer to 1derland :)

Yes exactly :) I've done it so many times and given up but I really want to stick to it this time! I just have no will power :/
Yeah I'm the same when it's totm or if I have a cold I don't seem to lose anything. My next weigh in should be Xmas morning so I'm trying to stick to it until then but not be so strict on Xmas day. I did have some Chinese chow mein and chips last night and it's my bf's actual bday today so I'm cooking him a full english but I'll stick point what I have. Normally I eat til I feel ill so portion control is something I have to focus on changing. I just feel hungry a lot of the time so at the minute I'm finding myself eating 4 or 5 small meals throughout the day rather than 3 main meals but as long as it works for me that's all that matters. What sort of things do you generally eat then? Are you really healthy? Xx

How are you getting on? I've been AWOL since Christmas and New Year but am determined to get back on it! I weighed in today at 233lbs so I've not gone too overboard at Christmas. Really want to lose another 2lb ASAP then I've done 4 and half stone whoop whoop.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok!
 
I am up for the challenge, I only started today so no weight loss yet. Currently 269 lbs so have lots to lose. Trying calorie counting this time as quick loss diets have only worked short term for me as I have just regained all the weight I have lost plus a few extra lbs.

Hiya I'm not doing too bad, the last couple of weeks have been a struggle, I still stuck to it at Xmas and was doing well but then it was my birthday and new year and I went off track slightly. But I weighed myself today and I'm 24st6 so 4lbs off since the first weigh in so I'm pleased with that :) hope you get your 2lb off xx

Hiya, welcome to the challenge :) I weighed in today at 24stone 6lbs (342lbs) so loads to lose! I'm following weight watchers online. Do you weigh weekly? I weigh on Wednesdays. Good luck :) xx
