back again, this time for good! my weight loss journey

So, I used to be a member here quite a while ago (roughly a year and a half I think as it was before I got married), things got a bit busy and I stopped posting as much as I used to and it then fizzled out totally. The last time I weighed in on here I was 359lb and as of this morning I was 365, so 6lb heavier

I've been following Slimming World online for a few months now after finally signing up online (our local group is on a monday night, which I don't go to as it is my only full day at home with my hubby - Chris), but recently become a bit demotivated and my weight started yoyoing. So I thought to myself that I should come back and start posting on here again to try and give myself a much needed boost.

My ultimate goal hasn't changed, I want to lose weight so that we can have children or get the help that we could possibly need. And I can't lose the weight if I don't stick to it properly.

But, in the meantime I'm going to set myself little goals and take it from there. I tend to buckle under pressure and that's what I want to avoid this time around. So, my first goal is to lose 14lb before christmas, very doable and not too high a goal that I'll freak myself out.

So, to update things personal life wise. We got married back in July last year. We had glorious sunshine and a near perfect day (we had some issues with one of my cousins causing some trouble), but the main thing is that we're finally married and I love Chris so much and wouldn't change him for the world. After the wedding we spent a week at Chris' mum and dad's house while they were away and planned our honeymoon. We chose a villa in turkey and flew out on Chris' 30th birthday this year. It was complete and utter perfection and I can't wait for us to be able to go back again :p

Things haven't really changed with mum. We're still in the same situation plodding along and just taking each day as it comes.

And as for Bruce, he's got a bit bigger (as you can see)

Hi Emmy and welcome back! :)

Sounds like the wedding and honeymoon went brilliantly, so pleased for you.

And wtg on the focus, you can do it!

Hi Emmy - I saw your post on the main board where I usually hang out and thought I'd stop by and say hi.

Congrats on wedding - sounds like the weightloss is the icing on the cake for you.

Hope you get there xx

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)

Feeling good about getting back on plan. Have just made myself scrambled egg and beans as I was quite hungry (I put lunch in the oven too early and it was ready just as football kicked off, was soon hungry again lol).

Haven't got a massive amount of superfree in the fruit bowl/fridge at the moment, so, definitely need to get online and alter our food shopping ready for tomorrow morning :D

Just wanted to wish you the best of luck, I'm sure you'll do brilliantly :)

ps your dog is gorgeous!!

Hi Emmy, I have restarted my diet more times than you would believe, but all we can do is keep trying :) like you I am giving myself more realistic (smaller!) Targets this time to keep myself motivated. We WILL get there eventually :)

Definitely feeling a lot better in myself after being on plan yesterday :D I think I really needed that for motivation and to show myself that I can do this.

I've done a rough meal plan for the next 5 days and stuck it to the fridge. Hopefully that will help me on those moments where I'm not sure what to make. I'm guilty of picking when I'm bored so I want to keep a running total of my syns used on the whiteboard on the fridge.

I really, really want a stone gone by christmas. I think that would be a huge boost to me :)

Food plan for today -

Breakfast - watermelon chunks and a nectarine followed by a muller light
Snack - porridge (hexb and hexa) with strawberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and raspberries
Lunch - spaghetti bolognese (filled with onion, mushrooms, garlic and tomatoes), no cheese on top as I'm using my hexa on mid morning snack
Dinner - steak, actifried chips, mushrooms and oven baked tomatoes, mayonnaise on the side (2 syns)
Supper - hot chocolate (5 syns), special k bar (5 syns)

Hi Em welcome back. Congratulations on the wedding.

You seem to be determined and doing well on the plan. I am sure you'll have that stone off.

Food sounds lush, happy you're feeling good... it's amazing how being on plan can make us feel :) xx

What a gorgeous boy! :)

Well done love for all that you've achieved - congrats for the wedding too :) Good luck for everything going forward xx

Ok, so the plan for tomorrow was to attempt to make the sw version of pulled pork tomorrow night. The only problem being that when we had our food delivered today I got a 3.5kg lump of pork shoulder  So I'm doing a swap with my mum (she's putting the joint in the freezer for christmas) and she's going to buy me some pork steaks to try and use instead. It may mean a shuffle around of food depending on whether she does a food shop tomorrow or not, but I have plenty in the freezer one way or the other :)

Pretty much ready for bed, even though I haven't really done anything all day. Chris is back to work tomorrow and there's a possibility of him having to do 3 nights in a row instead of 2 which I'm not really looking forward to. It makes things easier for me food wise as he's so fussy, but I really miss him when he's not here :sigh:

Hey hun, I'm in the same situation with OH and work.. he works late nights sometimes 4 days a week so we barely get the night together :( Do you do date nights? doesn't have to be somewhere out, maybe cook something SW friendly for you both, get some wine in (if you drink) and watch a movie? Hope you are ok x

We're both carers for my mum, but he does night duty 3 nights a week. Can be really tough sometimes as it does get quite lonley even with the dog for company.

Whenever he's home he's normally on the ps4 and I tend to feel guilty for asking him to come off it as it's his way of winding down. Though I may put to him that once a week/month we have no internet or ps4 on and we just spend the night with a nice meal and have a proper catch up :)

Haven't really done much again today. Popped down to mum's for a few hours and then came home when she was getting ready to have a snooze this afternoon. Staying in tomorrow as mum has got a hospital appointment in the afternoon so don't want to get in the way and get her worked up. Though thankfully Chris is home tomorrow night, so that will be some company for a change.

We're currently waiting on a call from the landlord. Our laminate flooring in the front room has started separating, so we're having someone come out and pop it back into place and replace the beading (I think that's what it's called) around the edge of the room. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it's sooner rather than later as we've got a new corner sofa coming in just over 2 weeks and I really want it done by then

Another day on plan and food has ended on this :D

Breakfast - bacon, mushrooms and scrambled eggs
Lunch - ham, cheese and tomato sandwich (hexa and hexb)
Dinner - doner meat, salad and pita bread (2nd hexb) with mayo (2 syns)
Supper - hot choc (2nd hexa and 5 syns) and a special k bar (5 syns)

So, we've managed to get hold of the landlord. Chris needs to chase him up again on sunday as he'd forgotten and there's no one available until early next week. Just trying to keep everything crossed that we don't get the call that our new sofa is ready for delivery before they come out as that would be so typical

Planning on an early night and snuggling down with a new book on the Kindle once I've cleaned the rug as the dog has brought in lots of mud from outside

Food for today -

Breakfast - banana, honey (1 syn) and cinnamon on toast (hexb)
Lunch - chilli con carne on a rice fusions pouch (1.5 syns)
Snack - puffed wheat (hexa and 6 syns)
Dinner - chips, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms
Supper - special k bar (5 syns)

hope all get sorted love x x
