Right I bloooody love a new diet. I get dead excited and gung ho, buy all the books and go crazy.

Then drop out the weeks later with a excuse.

However since the elf was blurb, a year ago I have list a LOT of weight. I have actually lost 5 stone since having her but that weight was the day I have birth ha ha so really Ira been about 3 stone I have lost.

Of all the diets the Zoe harcombe low carb diet worked best but it was too brutal. I barely ate fruit and very very little amounts of veg. And an insane amount of cheese was consumed. So I stopped.

I'm going to start by following a blend of primal with the "eat clean" philosophy until I'm in the zone physiologically.then I will hopefully make the transition into full primal.

The next few days, and until my asda order is in ha ha , I'm going to try and follow a low carb eating style. Burr I'm eating fruit and veg just not potatoes and corn. That should hopefully minimise "carb flu" effects.

Any hints and tips would be greatly recieved x x

Good luck!

Hope it goes well for you, im trying to eat as clean as possible. I went camping for 10 days and managed it primal and my body felt great. There are still the idd things creeping in especially when I want convenience but I will get there. Good luck.

Good luck :)

Eating meat and veggies is a good start :)

Good luck! :)

Marks daily apple is a good resource and his shopping list is a good starting point: Primal Blueprint Shopping List | Mark's Daily Apple

Its so easy to keep the food interesting and tasty, there are so many recipes to paleo-ise favourite foods.
I think that it does require a bit of planning especially if you're out and about!
Throw yourself into it and if you slip up dont stress just get straight back on it.

If you need any help, just ask, someone will be able to point you in the right direction :)

xx

Thanks my lovelies.

I'm struggling with breakfast. I HATE eggs....I was thinking about sausages as my dad makes his own so I know what is in them.

I'm still eating fruit this week, staying off tatties and corn .I'm also eating dairy but minimising it -whole milk in a smoothie or berries and yoghurt . Just one portion a day.

Also I cannot cannot afford corn fed meat. I'm going for organic where I can afford it but I'm currently eating my freezer full of like tesco finest as oppose to smart price. Its that a problem?

With the meat buy what you can afford - I buy free range/ organic when it's on special, also buy from local butcher.

Heck sausages are nice from Tesco's
Bacon/ sausages and tomatoes for breakfast is nice :)

Hi I've only stared transition ti paleo myself .though I'm cheating a lot at tje minute ad I'm allowing cheat days and meals as I want to slick to this one!

Is your dad a butcher or is he nifty in the kitchen?

Hello hon

My dad its nifty in the kitchen and bought himself a sausage maker. They are very easy to make actually, I just couldnt be bothered ha.

So tea was steak and a mountin of cauliflower, broccoli and green beans. All off the list from marks daily apple.

Had one cup of tea with a dash of milk but that's my only dairy.

Tomorrow it's berry smoothie for breakfast and possibly sausages for lunch :)

Feel loads better today thank you but did have a rather indulgent nap today.

Smoothie for lunch with berries and geek yoghurt. Sausages for breakfast with a couple of plums for snacks.

Not sure of geek yoghurt is allowed but still ate it

Thats great and there's nothing wrong with a nap!
I'm good thanks :) currently sat deciding whether my flatmate will notice if I put the heating on lol

I think it all depends on which or who's version of paleo or primal you do with regards to Greek yogurt! Mark's daily apple says yes to it it in moderation (Yogurt Mania | Mark's Daily Apple) where some of the other plans say nope!

The best thing to do is listen to your body and if you tolerate dairy just fine, go for it! I love having smoothies, I hide spinach in mine lol and a spoonful of coconut oil added before blitzing is sooo yummy!

Chris Kresser has a good article on his website (can't post the link!) about moving past paleo as a diet and more towards using it as a template which I found really interesting.

xx

Yeah I have been following marks primal blue print.I'm sure its not ideal to eat yoghurt and dairy but if I go too crazy it won't last and I will, break this with a bang.

Streak, veggies for tea x,x

Ooooo me did not know that. Why?

I'm aiming for smoothie then sausages again, chicken and veg for tea

Today

Smoothie breakfast

Apple

Sausages and bacon lunch

Tea chicken stuffed with cheese, curtesy of cave girl, asparagus, and leeks and mushrooms in a cream sauce. Barely had any sauce though.

Snacks

Apple, plums, and half a banana...hate wasting food and the elf refused to eat her banana.

I don't know if its too much veg our fruit but its.a million times better than before so I'm happy for the next few weeks cutting back that way
