huwiesmummy is having another

After trying for a year I am finally pregnant. I'm due late April, after I see the dr I will have a more definite date.

This time will be different from the last I am about 100lbs lighter this time around. With Huw I had barely put on anything weight wise as I didn't use it as an excuse to eat. Lets hope that I can pull that off again.

I am a tad worried about getting flack about my weight. I'm not as heavy as last time and I had no complications and had a natural birth with only gas and air.

I've booked a doctors appointment for Thursday to get my starter pack and book an appointment with the midwife.

Symptoms wise I am so nauseous/ have indigestion. Unlike last time where I had barely had any issues. It seems at the moment that I cannot eat between 10am-5pm with out wanting to heave. My husband has ordered me some ginger chews which will hopefully come sooner than later.

Dieting wise I plan to record everything on myfitness pal and have it for trying to maintain my weight which should be more than enough to keep me from gaining more than a baby.

At the moment it is all surreal I've been waiting a year and it had finally happened!

Congratulations!! Hope the nausea doesn't last long. Xx

Thanks you and me both.

Today I've had a bad tummy all day and not just nausea either. I've also been told I'm very irritable and grump. Either it's hormones or lack of food in the day.

I had granola for breakfast (went for high calorie)

lunch an 8th of toast with cheese with salad. Then a spoon of pesto pasta. We were at a friends. I was only slightly sick after

Tea two tortillas with eggs and cheese. Then a cherry yogurt and coco pops. Was sick after.

Aw no sorry i don't have any advice i have been quite lucky.

Could you try having a slim fast shake ? Obviously not as a meal replacement but aswel to keep your calories up .

Hope it eases x

I wasn't like this with my first. So I'm a bit lost too. I'll ask my Dr tomorrow.

I rekon the shake would be just as bad during the day. Even water won't stay down at times.

Congratulations on pregnancy, sorry you are feeling so lousy have you tried the usual? Ginger, eat something before you get up etc? Xx

Hi Huwiesmummy - just catching up after an age away and am so happy to read your wonderful news - I know how hard just getting there can be (ended up with my Huw after 3rd ivf attempt!)

I hope your sickness subsides after the first trimester, if not waaaaaay before, and wish you so much love and luck X

Ginger helps a lot. I just ordered a bunch of ginger chews.

Thanks, I am feeling a bit better. I'm managing to eat more which helps with my moods.

The doctor just gave me a congratulations pack and vitamins then told me to ring the midwives as it's no longer done through the surgery. My estimated date is the 22nd of April. The day before my niece's first birthday!

Watching what I eat isn't going to well. At the moment I eat high cal in the morning and evening and eat very light in the afternoon as that's when I feel the worst.

I've been feeling a but less sick which is nice though I am pretty tired. Quite happy to go to bed early as possible.

I'm waiting to hear from the midwives. I called yesterday left a message and I tired again today and there was still no answer. So I guess I'll be waiting till Monday to hear.

Oh well.

Things are going much better now stomach wise.

I weighed myself which I've really been putting off. I'm back up to 231 which mean my bmi is 37 I'm rather upset. I was almost down to 220 before huw got off for summer. I definitely means I'll not get to go into midwife led unit outside of the hospital. Goodness know I might not get to have midwife led in the hospital.

I'm so angry and upset with myself. I already obsess about food I'm sure this won't help. I know dieting is a no no while pregnant but it's oh so temping.

I need to get exerciseing again. I was running before the big heatwave I can't restart that now I'll be back to walking on the first to get Huw to school which will help a lot. I'd like to do swimming though in mot sure when you get the vouchers when your pregnant.

Next week we are going on our holiday we are taking huw to chessington and legoland. I can't go on certain things so huw might get a bit annoyed with me saying no as his dad cannot go on much either.

So frustrated and emotional, stupid hormones

Hi, Congratulations!! I am due estimated 20th April! Haven't had my midwife appointment yet. Hope you are managing okay, I have really bad nausea too x

Hello

Things are going. Huw stared school today I needed a nap after dropping him off this morning. I've been so tired but I managed the walk there and back twice. I just will need to keep at it. If I manage I will be getting plenty of exercise.

Food wise I'm doing horrible. I am having depression issues. I'm pretty good at stopping the downward spiral. I seem to not to be able to stop this time. I think part of my issue is I'm am all or nothing kinda girl. I will eat nothing I find enjoyable or I scoff the lot.

I know I can't diet while pregnant but what do I do? I'm so frustrated and angry at myself so I eat more. Then rinse and repeat. :-(

Haha is this the craving? I've never tried one are they like gherkins xx

I was starving the first few months when pregnant with my Huw - I'd strictly dieted prior to the pregnancy, so then felt like I HAD to eat all the time! It did wear off as the pregnancy wore on, so fingers crossed it'll do that for you. pickled cucumber is good. just take care with vinegar and heartburn :) lots of luck x
