Plus Size Clothes

I pretty much live in Evans, Dorothy Perkins and New Look inspire.

Recently Ive been reading lots of blogs about larger sized bras and plus sized fashion and I have had my eyes opened to a whole world of online shopping I never knew existed!

Alot of it is way more expensive than I can afford (being a student!) but I have just fallen in love with ASOS Curve and Forever 21+

I want to buy everything! My only gripe is the only access I have to these brands is online and there is a lot of faff trying to work out what size you will come up and having to send things back!

Any advice on how ASOS curve compares to new look or evans would be much appreciated!!

WEEEEE happy shopping ladies!

I saw a dress on simply be that I love but I have no idea what size to go for, so I compared my measurements with a sizing chart and according to them I should be in a 26-30 depending on the measurement! That is crazy! In other shops Im mostly in 20s, 22 in smaller sized shops and trousers.

I know I am 20 in Evans so I thought I would compare my measurements to their size chart - I am baffled

Granted these measurements are from about 5lbs ago - but that really cant make too much of a difference.

bust - 130cm
waist - 123cm
Hips - 139 cm

according to these measurements and Evans size guide I should be in a 26-28 when the 20 fits me perfectly!!

I am so super confused! maybe I just took the measurements drastically wrong...

Hey Chezz,

I ended up ordering some things from Yours and I absolutely loved everything they sent me! I had to send a couple bits back as they came up big for me but I was dead impressed by the quality and value of their clothes!

Now I know they exist, Im really jealous of anyone who lives by a shop! lol The only shops in the south are around London and I live further south than that! lol But online shopping will have to do for now! :p

oh yes i love them i have meadowhall and i have one a train ride away so yes im lucky but i think there is more on line than in the shops i love there stuff i really do saying that i like my charity shops to i think well if im not going to be in them long why pay loads of money for them apart from my jeans i like the bootcut ones from evans like a pair off gloves and asda george they have some nice cheap clothes to

Asos curve are really good sizes so I'd go for the size you usually wear. Sending stuff back is easy too, you just literally take it to the post office in the bag that it was sent in with the sticker that's inside slapped on it. It's free to send back and you usually get a refund after a week xx

ahh yeah chezz I can understand that, I try not to spend too much. I like asda too, find some good bits there. I also like sainsburys range of clothes, not everything is nice, but picked up some bits that I have loved and worn to death!

MissAmyMarie - I have looked at curve, and seen things I liked, but it is that bit more expensive and as Im coming down the sizes dont want to spend too much. I think if I had an event to go to, I would definitely look there for a dress, so many beautiful things! Must resist for now tho!

ohhh yeah Ive seen that site before, liked that too!

I think its because Ive always gone for quantity over quality. I really like to have options, which means I dont get to spend as much on each item. I look forward to getting back into work tho so I can treat myself!

I know what you mean. I was always between an 18/20 so was hard for me to find clothes. I always just went for what fit rather than what I actually liked but bought loads so I had variety. It's nice to finally be able to wear clothes that I love. I still do spend far too much though xx

i keep saying to myself no more clothes but it just does not work that way lololol

I love Yours too! I wish we had a store, typically our easiest to get to (train!) is meadowhall and that's almost 70 miles away.

If you ever get up to Skeggy it's well worth a look as they have a clearance store there. Haven't been personally - will do soon! :)

i love them them i like to look on line to it gives evans a run for there money i love charity shops to x x x
