Yes, I use mine for fries, courgette or celariac. Also made fried chicken, but used a shallower pan rather than full immersion. I know Atkins book advises to avoid deep fry, but I've had no problems thus far.
I use linseed to make a ready brek type hot cereal for breakfast. Add a bit of cocoa and Splenda, boiling water and top with double cream. Low carb and filling, not a bad alternative to cereal.
Not sure if everyone is aware, but there is a low carb bread just seen in Waitrose & Ocado. 3.8g per slice, going to try and get some, will report back on taste.
Hi..post induction I have used soya protein isolate powder. You can get it from Holland and Barrett but it is cheaper from Amazon. I've used it as a breading for fried chicken, courgettes etc and it is very good.
Hi, I'm also quite new (day 26) but did this years ago. Some of nicest I've found are M&S Gloucester Old Spot, less than 1 carb each, very tasty and currently on offer. For burgers, best to make your own id say. Good luck with the diet :-)
