    What's for tea tonight?

You can deep fry celariac. 180c but do keep an eye on them as burning is easier than potato. They won't go crunchy, but do taste pretty good :-)

    Does anyone DEEP FAT FRY??

Yes, I use mine for fries, courgette or celariac. Also made fried chicken, but used a shallower pan rather than full immersion. I know Atkins book advises to avoid deep fry, but I've had no problems thus far.

    Chia seeds and linseed

I use linseed to make a ready brek type hot cereal for breakfast. Add a bit of cocoa and Splenda, boiling water and top with double cream. Low carb and filling, not a bad alternative to cereal.

Not sure if everyone is aware, but there is a low carb bread just seen in Waitrose & Ocado. 3.8g per slice, going to try and get some, will report back on taste.

Well done on the temptation, and the exercise. 1.5 is still a good loss, certainly better than a gain. :-)

    Sausages!

Hi, I'm also quite new (day 26) but did this years ago. Some of nicest I've found are M&S Gloucester Old Spot, less than 1 carb each, very tasty and currently on offer. For burgers, best to make your own id say. Good luck with the diet :-)
