I will NOT weigh at home this week.............

I'm going to try not to weigh myself this week too. My official class WI is on Wed but I tend to get on the scales from Sun or Mon onwards to see how I'm doing. Last week my scales said I had gained 3lb on the Mon despite me being really good on plan. I was gutted but knew * week was coming...

    Extra Lean Lamb Mince

I've found lean lamb mince but not extra lean in Tesco or Waitrose. The normal mince works out as 1 syn per 28g raw so I just count the lean as 1/2 syn per 28g raw so a 500g pack would be about 9 syns. TBH though I never usually count it - I made a lean lamb mince lasagne last night and it...

    One year on

Wow! It's taken me 2 years to lose what you've lost in 1! Well done!! You should be so proud of yourself!

    Candy Floss , 3 syns?????

I'm always dubious about what an average stick of candy floss is considered to be! I know I got a tub of it at the cinema and it turned out to be about 15 syns if I used the 1 syn = 20 cals rule!

    First day on Fast Forward

Did your C put you on it? I've heard it's difficult. Well done for completing one day!! I found success express difficult because of only snacking on fruit and found myself hungry. I'm like you - if I cal counted my fruit intake I'd probably be horrified! After dinner alone I've had 1/2 punnet...

    The new Marmite cereal bars!!

Oh I have to disagree. I love the squeezy bottle! It's so much more convenient and no lid getting glued stuck to the jar needing a sledgehammer to open it! To me it tastes just the same!

    Spaghetti & Mince Frittata

    SW Come Dine With Me!

Starter Scallops with chorizo (2.5 syns per serving) Main Tuna salsa verde served with steamed green beans tossed in reserved salsa verde and new potatoes. Dessert Raspberry pavlova (not sure of syns but wouldn't be high using Splenda) Chocolate mocha truffles (3 syns per truffle) to have...

    The new Marmite cereal bars!!

Oooh marmite chips/roasties sounds lovely!! I also like the pasta idea - I used to do this to make 'twiglets' before we weren't allowed to snack on pasta, etc that was made into crisps.

Pre - packed sandwhich - what the hell?

I hate this with soups. Esp New Covent Garden ones which mostly have free ingredients. If you look it up under brand name it has more syns than if you syn calculator it. Really does my head in. One of SWs little quirks!

    Puddings Syn free marshmallows!!

OMG I love marshmallows! I will definitely be trying this! I wonder if you can get marshmallow flavouring over here??!
  228. StaceyUK

    The new Marmite cereal bars!!

I like em! Not sure if they're worth 4.5 syns as I like to spend my syns on sweet things but I do like them!

question about "slimmer of the week"

That sounds so sad!!! We have raffle every week, SOTW every week where you get fruit, award and certificate, the last Tues of the month is buffet/taster night and that's where SOTM is done and gets (sometimes) a magnet and a certificate. Without all these things I would not have stayed for...

What an inspiration! Well done you!!

question about "slimmer of the week"

Ours only ever goes to the person who's lost the most who lost or maintained the previous week who has stayed for class this week. So basically you don't get sotw unless you stay to class.

Creamy Chicken Korma - Syn Free

    Spaghetti & Mince Frittata

    Butternut Squash Chips

It takes about an hr to roast depending on the size of the chunks but it's yummy!

THe Results Are In....My Week on Success Express

It's taken me 2 years. I did 4st the first year and 2 the second year. Second year has been a lot harder as I had major foot surgery, etc so it's taken a bit longer for me but I'm fine with that - it's the end result that matters not how long it takes to get there!

THe Results Are In....My Week on Success Express

Some days it doesn't look like you eat very much?! That first Fri, having a pink & white for lunch? I would be starving!!! I gave my C my SE food diary but I def eat more than you, I'd say! THe only other thing I did was that I only had 1 A and 1 B as well and I had 5 syns x 4 days, 8 syns...

    Spaghetti & Mince Frittata

I made this last night and it was soooo good! I used lamb mince as hubby doesn't eat beef but you can use whatever mince you like. This is based on Gino D'Acampo's recipe from his 'The I Diet' book (which has some great looking recipes in it!). I tweaked it a bit so here's my version...

Gino D'Acampo's Spaghetti & Mince Frittata This was soooo nice! And extremely filling! I used a pie dish which made it huge and very deep. Recipe in recipe section.

    Butternut Squash Chips

It is a godsend on EE and red days, IMO!! I pretty much have it every other day at least! I've also newly discovered roasted fresh beetroot which is also very nice sprinkled with cajun seasoning!

    Mikados-YUM!

I have to be very disciplined with mikados. I sometimes by the 3 pack of the smaller packs so that at least if I eat the whole pack it's only 8 syns or something like that!

    Mikados-YUM!

    Mmmmm...pink & whites!!

    How do you stop yourself?

All really good advice here. The only thing I can add is that in the past I used to have treat night after WI and act like the syns don't matter (when we all know they do!!). So this past week, I only had about 45 syns over 6 days up til WI. Then WI night, I think I had about 15 syns on...

THe Results Are In....My Week on Success Express

Thanks ladies! It really did give me the boost I needed. And i love SW again! Hoorah! It was part of the 'old' plans but EE has now taken over. Basically, I ate like I did on EE but had 2/3 of my plate superfree instead of 1/3. I also only snacked on superfree food and anything that was eaten...

THe Results Are In....My Week on Success Express

So as many of you know, I've been struggling lately but I'm ecstatic to say that I've been back on plan this past week and did a modified version of Success Express and lost..... 3.5lb!!!! Woop woop! It's really helped to re-focus me again and I really recommend it for anyone who's really...

    The new Marmite cereal bars!!

Didn't realise 2 marmite cheeses were an A. I'm defintely going to try them now! My fave breakfast is marmite on toast with a runny yolked fried egg (and sometimes a nice bit of smoked ham on the side). Yummmmmmmmmmmm.

    'MAGIC PORRIDGE'

FINALLY tried this today! I used 1 sachet Oats so Simple and 1 strawb muller light. Mixed together around 10pm, left in fridge and then ate it this morning around 7am wiht some fresh blueberries & raspberries mixed in. It was lush!!! Thanks for recipe Donnie!
