    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

How's everyone doing? I had a growth scan yesterday (28 weeks) and the baby is measuring perfectly at just under the 50th centile and weighs around 2lb5. The sonographer also had a little look between baby's legs...she said she wasn't 100% but she thought girl so I'm pretty happy she's still a...

Missy's Diary - last trimester and project wedding dress!!

Good idea about getting as much done for the wedding before the baby comes. Me and Dave got married abroad but despite it being just the two of us, there was still lots to sort out! Your beef curry sounds lovely. I think you can count shopping as exercise :D

You will look fabulous! You already have such a good routine in terms of keeping fit while pregnant...I can barely walk to the end of the road so you're a real inspiration to me going to spin class and glossing doors :D Have you started looking at dresses yet or are you waiting?

How is everyone? Enjoying the sunshine I hope! I had my 25 week midwife appointment today, hubby and I heard the baby's heartbeat but only for about 5 seconds as she kept moving haha. We have started looking and bidding for houses now so I'm finally starting to think about the baby's nursery...

    My Pregnancy Diary: Following SW

Just checking in Pregnant. I totally understand your post a few days ago. I had a very indulgent bank holiday and feel disgusted with myself...yet I still ate loads of chocolate for breakfast! Like you, I have a scan this week and I'm really anxious about it. I will be thinking of you on Thursday xx

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Sorry to hear about your ankle Jenn...hope you're doing ok! I had a nice, overindulgent Easter away at the inlaw's. My MIL works for a big company and has been getting lots of baby clothes super cheap. We came back with a car full. I'm a bit overwhelmed with it if I'm honest. I have my...

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

So sorry to hear you're going through this Pregnant. I don't have any words and I can't imagine how hard it must be, the first trimester is such an exhaustingly worrying time as it is. My Pregnancy Diary: Following SW

You're doing so well! When I was at your stage, I could only eat stodgy foods due to feeling nauseous all the time. Don't worry about picking, I found that was the only thing that really helped with the morning sickness. Your hormones will be all over the place right now, the first trimester...

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Ah that's made me smile! I definitely feel the flicks more when I am relaxed on the sofa or in bed. Baby seems to kick a lot, I wasn't expecting to feel much so soon but apparently my placenta is at the back. Pregnant, I'm 20+5 today. I always forget how far everyone is along so don't apologise...
  37. daisydaisydaisy

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

You're all so lovely. It's still not sunk in yet! Can anyone explain what the baby kicking feels like? I have felt bubbly feelings for a while but put it down to wind. Now it feels like I'm being gently flicked...is this the baby or is it just everything stretching? How's everyone doing?
  38. daisydaisydaisy

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Thanks everyone! I was convinced it was a boy so it was a bit of a shock! There's not been any girls in my or DHs family/friends so will be a learning curve. We went shopping afterwards and bought some bits that weren't white/beige/grey. The strawberry sleepsuits are my favourites. Can't...

  40. daisydaisydaisy

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Thanks for all your replies, I felt as though I was being really dramatic. It just feels like we've waited a long time and got fobbed off. I'm hoping that the private scan makes up for it. Is anyone up to anything nice this weekend? X
  41. daisydaisydaisy

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Thanks Pregnant. I will definitely let them know. I know it's a medical scan but I'm a person too. It felt as though she just couldn't be bothered. It was the polar opposite to my dating scan.
  42. daisydaisydaisy

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Thanks ladies. I'm really upset, the scan this morning was really disappointing. I sat waiting ages in the waiting room desperately trying not to pee. The sonographer was running late, seemingly more interested in seeing the eclipse. I was only scanned for 5 mins before she announced she...

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Missy - have a lovely day. I'd love to see what you pick! Your menu sounds lovely once again! Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Congratulations to all the new BFPs! How are we all getting on? I've managed to stick to plan so far this week and feel quite pleased with myself. Hopefully I can carry it on at the weekend as that's the time when I struggle most. I have my 12 week scan in just under 2 weeks now...it can't...

Sorry to hear SP wasn't working out for you. I read up on it and figured I would really struggle to stick to it. Part of the joy of SW for me is that you aren't restricted but SP seems the opposite. Looking forward to seeing what you've lost though! Well done on the NSV :D

So I've been AWOL but back after a very naughty festive period. I've gained a bit (boo!) but I'm more than ready to get back on track with SW. I've read that there's been some changed but I'm not sure it's recommended for pregnant women so I'm going to stick with EE. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and...

    Looking for a pregnancy buddy!

Hey everyone...how you all getting on? I've been wiped out with my awful cough and have spent all week sleeping. Been really bad food wise as I've felt nauseous and the only thing that makes it go is eating and obviously with it being Christmas I've been grabbing all the bad stuff. Trying not...

I'm so sleepy today...I tried to convince DH to have the day off this morning to look after me. Unsurprisingly he said no. I'm drinking loads of water to try and shift my nasty cough. Today: L: Crisp sandwich (HEB and 15 syns oops!) D: Chilli and rice (I had spag bol yesterday for dinner...

Thanks for asking Missy. I still feel pants...cough seems to have got worse over night, feels like I'm on my way to a 6 pack. Yay well done ticktock! You're obviously doing something right, even if it's not 100% of the time. I find the weather makes it so much more difficult to eat better. No one wants a salad when it's peeing down and barely above freezing outside lol.

Blimey I didn't know about the flu jab only preventing 1 strain. I've got asthma so always offered it but never have it. I'm not sure whether to have it now I'm pregnant. Changing personal target weight

Hi Guru, I completely understand where you're coming from. I don't really have a goal as like you I want to be a certain dress size rather than weight. I think taking it in half stone chunks and re-evaluating is the best bet. Then once you're happy, you can stop.
  242. daisydaisydaisy

Gained weight but lost inches?? Anyone?

That does sound strange. The only thing I can think of it being is water retention but then I don't think that would affect your whole body. Off topic completely but it's good to see a local on here. I'm a similar weight (although much shorter)...let me know if you would like to buddy up :)
