    not losing enough

Absolutely! I did a week where I limited myself to only 5 syns, stuck to plan 100% and did my body magic and lost 0.5lb. The following week I decided to max out my syns each day with the full 15, still stuck to plan etc and lost 3.5lbs! It goes against your logical mind, but for some reason...

    Joining class tonight :-)

It's the best decision you will make, seriously, it's super easy and fits in well with family life/work etc. It's so much better joining with someone else as you can keep each other on the straight and narrow! My partner and I both attend our group together and it's FAB! You'll meet loads of...

I'm going back to it heeeelppp!!

Come back to Slimming World! Contact the consultant at whichever group you'd like to try beforehand if it helps to ease your nerves a little, and don't forget that once you've joined you can go to other groups anywhere if you don't like the group you've joined. I've gone to a different group...

    Slimming World - support needed

Yes, absolutely pester your consultant by phone and in group make sure you talk to them about it then! Also if you stay to group talk about it in IMAGE therapy time. The other members will have loads of helpful advice and will never judge anyone on how quickly or slowly they are losing weight...

    Adverse effects of weight loss

I agree with the others above - seek medical advice. I've noticed having lost 1st 6lbs that my time of the month is quite a lot lighter and virtually pain free, though I still have moody moments leading up to it! haha

    Newbie to Slimming world!

I recommend keeping things fairly simple for the first couple of weeks - make your meals out of free foods, snack on free food such as fat free yoghurts (careful, some are not syn free even though they are fat free), skinless cooked chicken breast pieces, ham etc. Drink lots of water - it...

    Success Express

Deffo trying SE the rest of this week as I've pretty much had ALL my week's syns allowance just this weekend (was away for a valentine's meal at a fancy hotel near me, food was amazing but most certainly not SW friendly!) hopefully I'll lose a few extra pounds to get my 1.5 stone award!! I've...

    Puddings Key lime pie

Just thought I'd share that the recipe for key lime pie in the latest sw magazine is fab-5 syns per portion and basically a cheesecake....yummy! Easy to make too. I can put the recipe on if anyone wants it.

    Thursday Weighers

    Cake in a mug

Don't be put off by the slightly odd texture. When you remind yourself it's less than 2 syns, it's not that bad! Also it's nice with a bit of free yoghurt on the side, like custard.

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

Weigh in tomorrow....fairly sure I've maintained :( Even though I've stuck to plan 100%! I try not to weigh myself inbetween group meetings, but couldn't help myself this morning! Ahhh!
  15. Laurelie

    Late night snacking.

I agree that mugshots are a good choice...or maybe some cooked meat, like ham or chicken slices? Sometimes I only need a slice of ham and that is enough to make it feel like I've eaten something :)

    Almost 12 stone gone!

    Cake in a mug

Bash it with a fork and stir like you are trying to break the mug (or cause an chocolately egg tornado). All the energy used counts towards body magic....! haha

    Cake in a mug

Oh my goodness! The minty one, with 1:30 on the clock was SO MUCH BETTER! Really yummy and much lighter texture :) AND it hasn't stuck to the cup as much. Win win win

    Cake in a mug

I'm about to try this again right now! I'll let you know how it goes.....!

    Exercise - yay or nay?

Ahh good to hear! I did have a slow down in my weight when I exercised more frequently, and yes it did make me doubt everything I'd been doing! But as I enjoy it I'll carry on :)
  22. Laurelie

    Exercise - yay or nay?

I'm just interested in how many people do regular exercise while on the slimming world plan? According to the plan, you don't have to do exercise in order to lose weight - however, do any of you find that you lose more when you do move more? I personally exercise at the gym several times a...

    Cake in a mug

Well I was given a recipe in group: you mix one egg, 3tsp sweetener and any options hot chocolate 11g sachet in a mug. Then you blast it in the microwave for around two mins. Though mine sw overcooked first attempt! I'm going to try it again with 1:30 on the microwave.

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

I've just come into the 11's zone....definitely can't wait to hits the 10's!! Woohoo!!

    Thursday Weighers

Definitely forget about your little blip (large blip!) and put it down as flexible syns. I did the same with a huuuuuge bar of chocolate not long ago and my consultant said "eat it, enjoy it then FORGET it" and get back to optimising 100% - you'll be surprised how effective it is. In fact, I'm...

3 days to optimise 100% for big losses this week everyone! You can do it :)

    Exercise DVD recommendations anyone?

30 day shred is incredible! But yes, it does get repetitive, but it also gets results really quickly! I like to imagine that Jillian really is yelling at me (Biggest Loser style) as it makes me work harder for sure :p
  28. Laurelie

    Cake in a mug

Yes the little options sachets - in tesco they were on offer. I used the belgian chocolate one :)

    Cake in a mug

I think I'll try it again with less time...I do like a quick sweet fix!

    Cake in a mug

So I tried the chocolate cake in a mug that people have been raving about recently....does it always feel a bit rubbery, or did I overcook it ? I microwaved it for about 2 minutes. Tasted nice but felt a bit horrible!
