    Pork strognoff with cauliflower 'rice'

There are many examples of using cauliflower as a rice substitute-I do this often, but find it's more like the feel of cous cous when eating. Very low calorie, very low carb and gives the feeling of a big starchy meal! This was less than 500cals each! Pork stroganoff (for 2) Ingredients...

I've come to say hello :-)

:-) maybe it is! Although I always try to come up with a counter argument! If someone eats dinner at 5 pm, then has breakfast at 8am, that's 15 hours fast. I have my dinner at 8pm (by the time I get home from work and made dinner etc) and have some lunch at about midday...that's 16 hours fast...

I've come to say hello :-)

I just typed a reply to this, pressed something, and it's gone! Ha! I'll start again! I have lost count how many times I've joined slimming world. The optimist in me wanted to believe that I could eat as much of the 'free' foods as I liked, but the scientist in me tells me that if I ate 20...

I've come to say hello :-)

The mere thought of eating first thing is enough to make me nauseated! I have spent most of my adult life trying to convince people that a) I'm not pregnent! and b) I can function very well with no breakfast :-) I drink tea, with milk, throughout the morning-this is technically food and will...

I've come to say hello :-)

Hi I had a look at freda fitness-it looks fantastic! But, I think a little to far from me. I live the other side of the north wales coast, nearer chester. I keep contemplating exercise, but the thought of lycra clad 'fit folk' really puts me off! I bought the dirty dancing workout DVD a...

I've come to say hello :-)

Sorry, I don't know what I pressed then! :-) You've lost a huge amount of weight! That's brilliant! 12 stone gives me a BMI of 24.9-haha, that will do for me! I know everyone probably says this, but there is no way I could get much lower than that and stick to it. I am actually 'big...

I've come to say hello :-)

My diet is not dissimilar to yours, although I suppose I'm slightly more relaxed. I haven't got a sweet tooth, so sweet refined carbs are not really an issue, apart from when I have a hypo, then I HAVE to have them-which is gutting! This was the main reason for me going low carb-if I don't eat...

I've come to say hello :-)

I find it's a bit of a vicious circle. I start eating more 'bad stuff', so I avoid weighing myself. Because I haven't seen the damage I've done, I continue to eat more 'bad stuff' and before I know it' I've put on more weight than I'd lost! I've been yo-yo dieting for most of my adult life...

I've come to say hello :-)

Thank you both for the words of support! Have you found that talking to people helps with the motivation? I had a quick look at 'I quit sugar'. I am trying to cut out carbs, so I don't have to take insulin-inevitably I end up having a hypo, which is not only bloody awful, but encourages weight...
