    She said she wanted to do a trial for a week - I gave her an idea for a week. She said she didnt want to do TFR again because of the hair losses, which is why I recommended eating a meal with carbs in it, to stop her going into ketosis.

    I wouldnt be suggesting anything like this long term, the original poster states she only wants to do it for a week or so, I am trying to give her another option. Not a long term stint on 2 shakes and 1 meal. I dont see any harm in doing this for one week.

    What about having 2 meal replacement shakes a day with a proper evening meal, that should still see you having good losses, and as long as you have carbs with your meal, you wont go into ketosis, then no worries about the hair loss. Good luck in losing what you want Lesley.

    Cheers hon, feeling very motivated this time. Well there is no other option really, unless I want to keep adding weight every year, so its the hard part for a couple of months now before beginning to enjoy life again, but with more control. Blooming maintenance is definitely not easy!

    I also lost quite a bit of hair, and my hair was already fine, but after a few months it was back to normal. Try not to worry too much about it, just give it time and it will come back to normal.

    Sarah, I really have to agree with Tanya, and I dont think there are anywhere near enough calories in your day. Its different with TFR as you are getting all the nutrients you need, but the little you are eating is not giving you all the proteins, minerals etc that your body needs. Pluck up...

    Just make the peppermint tea with the amount you usually add to your shake, then add the shake and blend. I used to make it with hot water and sweetner, then stir the tea bag around to get the flavour, then discard the tea bag and mix your shake in.
