Hi Smudgers. Im afraid youre only allowed 1 bar per day. i think this has something to do with the fact that the bars are slightly higher in calories, contain a few more carbs and can cause slight feelings of hunger in some people. i hope that helps x

sounds like you are doing great! i have done CD before (originally started in jan 2006 and lost over 7 stone but have since gained a couple back!) and its the ONLY diet that works for me. Yes its drastic and you feel pants in the first few days but my god the results are worth it :)

thanks KD. I prefer the 'light' version but am using the normal unsweetened one and the 'original' one whilst I'm doing cd. I will just continue to substitue the skimmed milk quantity with these. I've not had any problems so far.

I've just moved onto the 810 plan today which says that you can have 12 fluid oz of skimmed milk. the thing is that I only drink unsweetened soya milk (usually Alpro soya). does anyone know the quantity I can have as a replacement for cows milk?

hiya, it's all to do with glycogen. I'm not sure of the science behind it but basically when we start cd our bodies have to use up all stores of recently eaten food and glycogen before we start fat burning. in the first week of cd we usually have big losses, 3-4 lbs of this is usually glygogen...

yeah, just make them with hot water. we're not supposed to microwave the packs cos it can destroy some of the nutrients. try a hot choc tetra too. tip the contents into a big mug and top up with hot water. yum yum xxx

Yeah I think the burgers and sausages are not really allowed but I have two quorn bangers with veg quite a lot and I've never had any problems. It works for me and keeps me on the straight and narrow but it is worth pointing out that it might throw some people out of ketosis.

hiya galaxy. Im a veggie too and although i do like cottage cheese having it every day is not much fun! Ive asked my cdc if i can have quorn sausages, she said yes (have two) but if they make you feel hungry then stop having them. ive also had one quorn burger instead and not had any problems...
once you get into ketosis you will find it easy to resist the usual takeaway. My hubby often has a take away chinese, kebab, pizza but ive got to the stage where i can happily watch him eat it cos i know that when i weigh in again i am going to be a happy, slimmer bunny!

Hiya Baby. been reading some of your other posts and you seem to be doing ok so far! keep at it hun, its so worth it!...and it gets easier. you'll get to the point when you really dont think about food and you will be 'in the zone' and able to stay strong even when you are out and everyone else...

im with you all! i lost 6 stone last year and went from 19st to 12.12 then after messing about a bit, going on holiday etc i went back up to 17.6!!!! but here i am again having got down to 13.5 since september and im going to see it to the end this time...no more messing about!

Ive been doing CD on SS+ since September. Ive had a break over Christmas (eve, day and boxing day) and now im back on day 1 of SS+. Its going ok, and i dont really feel hungry but i do feel really really nausious/sick. im glugging loads of water but i feel pants. Is there anything else...

mmm, i think everyone may be different. its just what ive always been told by my CDC's. im not sure of the science behind it so i cant really comment. but as long as you feel ok and are drinking enough water you should be just fine. x
i was always told that the first two shades were the best and any darker then you are dehydrated. i think as long as its pink then you're in ketosis. i usually stay in the lightest shade and ive never had any problems. in fact im a fast loser.
im happy to report that ive done just over 24 hours SS+! ive really been struggling the past few weeks (since dad died) so fingers crossed that im finally back on track!

ooh, you dont know what you're missing out on! Just make sure that you have a HUGE mug, or split your tetra into 2 and have two smaller mugs worth (otherwise there is not enough room for the hot water end you end up with luke warm chocolate!) add a sweetner too if you like. enjoy!

i sucessfully lost 6 st on SS but then didnt maintain properly (naughty me). i also stopped smoking 2 months ago which hasnt helped the weight situation so now 4...
just a little tip.....! my favourite is hot choc tetra....get a BIG mug, empy contents of choc tetra, top up with boiling water (from kettle) add sweetener if you like. mmm yummy......my mouth is salivating now! ...and im not re-starting until the 13th sept!

After losing nearly 6 stone on CD i have decided to give SW another go. I know its easy, i can eat pretty much what i like when i like and there is no calorie counting or weighing! yay!
