    NEW STARTER

Welcome pink angel, how are things going? Like you, I find the bars hard work, can only finish one half at a time with lots of water and tea! But stick in there and the weight will come off :). Soon2bslimmer x

Soon2bslimmer will soon be slimmer!! :o)

Well I'm back and was very good, even though I say so myself. My salad was very boring, some green stuff and a little red stuff which always tastes bitter to me, so left most of that, left all the onion, had dressing on side and did not use it, had a few cherry tomatoes and a very small flat...

Am still here, but have been reading lots on the Atkins forum and it sounds so good! Probably a bit silly, because I want to loose most of my weight on Exante and then probably go over to something like Atkins for maintenance or the last few pounds. Anyway, ended up having a mouthful of...

Did the Pilates-arm-sculpting-10-minute-thing from YouTube for the second time today, this time with some (small) drinks bottles. Am working my way up to doing it with proper weights. I am sure I should be able to watch YouTube stuff via the Wii on TV instead of my comp on a desk. Must ask kids...

Back to lose it all again!!!

Welcome to Exante Liz :). I did CD in 2009 but am back now to get back into shape. Went for Exante as I could not stand all the faffing of having to go and see someone every week to get my food, plus was too embarrassed to go back to be honest :o. Even thought the counserllor was lovely. I...

Namastes 100 days.... time to move on :(

You are doing really well, Namaste, keep up the good work! I have to admit, I do go on the scales more than once a week, but try not to hop on everyday, as I know I would get disheartened if there wasn't a loss. And let's be realistic, there is not going to be a loss everyday. And even a gain...

Soon2bslimmer will soon be slimmer!! :o)

Good morning LLL I think it is fair to say your initial loss does depend on how much overweight you are to start with, but you still get really good losses when you stick to the plan. Average is a stone a month roughly. Have a look at people's diaries and find someone with your height and...

    Struggled since Easter

Slimoncemore, I totally know where you are coming from! Had a bit of a blip myself after being on hols for 2 wks (with my shakes!) over Easter. Part of it, I think, is that we've lost the bulk of the weight now, people are starting to notice we're slimmer and subconsiously my head seems to...

3 months on cd and guess what?

Well done on your loss! Don't you just love CD? It really works :D. Am in wk12 myself now and doing 810 for a few weeks after SS for 11 wks. Still want to lose another couple of stone, but 3 have gone so far. Haven't been this 'slim' for at least 12 years ;). CD rocks!! Soon2bslimmer x

    Peoples opinions

I've not actually told anyone (apart from OH & kids) I'm doing Cambridge for exactly that reason. All those negative comments would have gotten me down by now I think, so I chose not to mention Cambridge and avoided having to explain myself umpteen times! Now when people ask how I've lost the...

    Calling all Monday WIs

Am back from my 2wks away in the Algarve. Took my CD supply & handblender with me and was pretty good, even if I say so myself :innocent0002:. Fruits of the forest?

I tried it as a mousse and really did not like it :(. I prefer the sweet shakes hot (toffee/walnut, chocolate, butterscotch etc) but have now picked up a few soups from my CDC for variety. * note to self, MUST change that remaining Fruits of the Forest sachet when seeing CDC next *...

Are all the soups as vile?

I make leek & potato soup myself usually, so will steer clear from the CD version! Been having sweet shakes/bars/mousses so far, but tried a Vegetable soup today and was pleasantly surprised. Will try some Chicken & Mushroom soup next week as well. Also now have a tub of the Vegetable...

    yum

I think you're allowed it from week 3, just like the bars. But just once a day, just like the bars. It does make a nice change. Especially as I have the sweet shakes hot, having them as a cold mousse is completely different, in a nice way :D. Soon2bslimmer x

    Going on Holiday!

I'm off to Portugal too, over Easter for 2 weeks and just put in my CD order for the next 3 wks . It's quite a nice feeling to have the food-side of things sorted actually. By bringing along my own food, I will not be tempted by the real stuff. Will still cook for the family most days...

Gonna have porridge for tea. do you add any sweetners?

Neither the Original nor the Apple/Cinnamon need any sweeteners, as they're sweet already. A pinch of cinnamon is nice though :). I mix mine with a fork, adding 125ml of water from the kettle. Once lumps have gone, microwave for 50 secs. (My m'wave is 950Watts I think.) Make sure the...

    Don't think it's working

It's up to you which CD plan to follow, but if you stick to it, the plan DOES work. For those of us following SS, we don't have to deal with real food at all, but if you feel you need some food, SS+ could be the way for you. Good luck whichever way you're going :). Soon2bslimmer x

    SO......oooo cold!

Yep I'm cold too. Glugging all that cold water is not helping either :o. But I try to counteract by having lots of cups of tea and having my shakes warm. I usually finish my day with a Hot Chocolate (well, a CD choccie shake made with warm water ;)). At least today the wind is less cold...

    Opinions on CD bars?

Well, IMHO the Orange one (covered in dark chocolate) I found the texture a bit strange. It is pretty dense and requires a lot of chewing :D, so cut up into little pieces it becomes more manageable. You couldn't take a very large bite off it I don't think. The Peanut and Cranberry ones are...

    Question about loses

I was weighing myself at home every day in the beginning and then compare with weekly CDC WI, and got myself in a right state when my scales did not move from one day to the next :o. Crazy! CDC talked some sense into me :), I now step on at home once a week or so and just trust the CD scales...

    Opinions on CD bars?

The bars are a lifesaver for me with choccy cravings around TOTM. Added a couple to my weekly order in week 4 I think, the Chocolate Orange ones, had those chilled and cut into small chunks. This week (wk6) I have added 7 bars to my order (!!!), a mixture of the Peanut and Cranberry ones, they...

Hi everyone - I feel a bit silly asking this, as most of you have managed to input your height ok in the User Details of this forum, but not me :(. Pre-menstrual Overeating?

Emma, would definately recommend the bars if you're having serious choccy cravings. The orange one is covered in dark chocolate and has a chewy texture.
