    What works for you?

I count my syns weekly - Monday to Sunday - so that I can be more flexible at weekends, when I am often away from home and have little control over the menu, or entertaining at home. It's not to binge, but so that I can enjoy treats with the rest of my family at weekends. For example, yesterday...

    15/20/25 syns a day

I would say - why make things more difficult for yourself? If you lose weight on 20, or 25 syns a week, then it works for you, so stick to that number of syns. If your weight loss slows down or grinds to a halt, then reducing syns is the first thing to look at, assuming you are doing everything...

Can we get too focussed on the numbers on the scales?

That's really interesting Krupskaya, especially the weight vs size thing - and I know it's not that clothes sizes have got bigger, as I have clothes that I had kept from my previous slim days which I gave away quite a while ago as they were far too big. I also agree that, much as we'd like to...

I guess I'm hoping the last 3lbs will come off where I want them to come off and not off my ever-shrinking waist! Anyhow, it's WI tomorrow, so maybe I'll review my situation then. I've got Fagin singing as an earworm now :D

Can we get too focussed on the numbers on the scales?

You're all right, of course. It's the competitive part of me that wants to get to target, to reach the holy grail! If I stop short, it'd be like a marathon runner stopping at 25.5 miles!

Thanks for all your comments - and compliments! The thing is I can still grab (albeit small) handfuls of flab, so I know that there is still surplus weight that could be shifted. Slimming World Magazine

By an amazing coincidence, my renewal form came through today! It's £26.60 per year - including postage to France You may be thinking of the "app" for mobile phones? I haven't heard of any other online version - that's not to say there isn't one in the pipeline though :D
