Hi, can I join too pls?
I got weighed on Sat so will have that as my start date - 11st 1.5. My goal is 10st so can you put me down for 16lbs pls?
Thanks :)
Those 99 cal dairy milks that Summer mentioned do the trick for me.
Or a little Freddo bar. I don't buy chocolate in thought cos if it was in the cupboards I would succumb to my cravings far more often.
Often, if it's 9 o'clock at night and I'm craving chocolate the thought of traipsing out to...
I finished TFR ages ago and have noticed in the last couple of weeks that my hair has been coming out loads when I shower or brush it. It never occurred to me that it could be connected to this diet though cos I didn't have any side effects at the time...
gillian mckeith does nice bars. there was a purple one called the love bar i used to have ages ago that was lovely.
i don't think they're particularly low fat cos they have lots of nuts in them but from memory i think they're low in saturated fat and carbs.
Yasmine don't ever worry about coming on here - none of us are perfect. We wouldn't be here if we were!
You're not a failure. Try not to lose sight of what an achievement it is to lose as much weight as you have, and stick tfr for so long.
You'll crack the refeeding and maintenence eventually...
I'm trying! Cracked and had the crumpets last night tho - should've just gone to bed.
Going to go for a run later, really need to step up the exercise cos my holiday will be here before I know it!!
A bit up and down - went away to the lake district for a week and haven't been able to get properly back on track since then. Need to get strict again though cos I've just booked my holiday for August...nine weeks until the bikini rears its ugly head!!!
x
No Jan, I don't know what's wrong with me at the minute - I've had a rubbish week really food-wise.
Booked my holiday yesterday though so need to get myself back on track!
Thanks :) The gain is well deserved though so I'm not complaining, just got to knuckle down now. Been to Sainsbury's today to stock up on healthy soups and fruit.
I'm not sure about drinks - I try to avoid them cos I used to drink lots of diet coke and it is no good for us is it?! I'm making an...
Right, I have had 2 weeks of indulgence - a week in the lake district and then a week of failing miserably to get bk on track!
Have put on 4.5 lbs so seriously need to throw myself bk into it and get my diary going again!!
I didn't really train no. It is the 3rd year I've done it and the least preparation I've ever done! I've been exercising everyday, just not running.
Still in pain today!!
Oh my god - I did a 13k fun run yesterday. Am paying for it today - limping around like an oap!
Was such a struggle - I was one of the few people to wake up yesterday morning and curse the blazing sunshine!
Yasmine, I just read this post cos have just got bk from holiday. Everyone has given really sound advice and there seems to be nothing to add. But one thing you said about counselling and not wanting your parents involved - my mum is a counsellor and it is 100% confidential.
They won't make a...
I have had a funny couple of weeks - up and down for some reason - but lost 1lb in all.
That makes me 7lb off target :(
I'm exercising lots tho so have been losing inches - hopefully the lbs will start coming off too!
Thanks for keeping track of all tho Slinky - great thread :)
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago hun and it is the worst feeling isn't it?!
Especially since you have been doing so well on refeed.
You've not done anything wrong so far as I can see - it could be lots of reasons.
I weigh myself constantly - I know I shouldn't - but it has shown me how...
I swam a mile tonight - legs are killing now. Think it's more from last night's spinning class though.
Having a cup of tea before I get my sit-ups done and then I'm done!
Thanks Mark. I'm enjoying the exercise but it isn't doing me any favours on the scales. My clothes are looser but my weight isn't going down - guess I'm toning up & building muscle but getting impatient!!
Not done today's sit ups yet - have to force myself now...
Salsa sounds great Yasmine. My gym does something called Salsa Step - not sure what it is but I might check it out tomorrow. I'm so uncoordinated though!
Rach, I find it really fills me up and am trying not to snack!
Mary - I could do with one of those. My back is starting to hurt a bit - it's cos my abs aren't strong enough!
Day 30 - Monday
BREAKFAST - Shreddies & skimmed milk.
LUNCH - Wholemeal pasta with tuna, sweetcorn, spring onion and extra light mayo.
DINNER - Home-made prawn dupiaza with rice. Sugar free jelly and peaches.
DRINKS - 5 pints of water. few teas.
EXERCISE - 30 minutes spinning class...
Did my spinning class - ouch!
Was sooo hard. In a good way tho...felt great afterwards :)
I can feel the aches starting already tho, not looking forward to the morning!
I shouldn't think so with 5 hours swimming!
I went to Marrakech the summer before last and LOVED the food. We got food poisoning though so I am having trouble persuading my bf to come to a Morroccan restaurant with me!
I'd love to be able to cook a decent tagine, they're sooo good.
I think I saw bev posting about this too. Hasn't happened to me but I am still a way off goal - I'm a 6 but would love to go down to a 5 so I could buy cheap kid's trainers!
Sounds good :)
I'm off to the lake district next week. We've hired a cottage so going to be doing my porridge in the mornings and maybe a couple of evening meals too.
There will be lots of eating out though so I am going to do tonnes of walking and try and find a pool so I can swim everyday and...
Haha, Yasmine have a look at my food for the day before - I was paying for the BK!
My legs are feeling it today. Going spinning later which might just finish me off!
Mary, I did find it difficult - seem to be craving sugar alot. maybe it is just in my head, I don't know. But now that I have...
Day 29 - Sunday
BREAKFAST - Shreddies & skimmed milk. Mullerlight.
LUNCH - 1 1/2 weetabix.
DINNER - Fish in parsley sauce, jacket potato, carrots, peas, sweetcorn.
Managed a day with NO snacks - woohoo!
DRINKS - Few pints of water, lots of tea.
EXERCISE - 10 mins stepper, 30 min...
Yeah but it's meant to be a killer. Think it is super-fast!
I'm dreading it but apparently it burns loads of calories so decided to bite the bullet and give it a go...
I did a run, some stepping and a swim at the gym so was worth forcing myself along!
Also booked in for a spinning class tomorrow - never done it before, has anyone else?
Actually Mary it was my boyfriend's birthday last week and I bought him one of those sleep machines that plays different sounds to send you to sleep and wake you up...he has been playing the rain noise constantly so I have been saying that we brought the downpour on ourselves!
I had a day off exercise yesterday so have to get bk on track today. Bought a bike on Friday but has been pouring with rain ever since so it is just sat in the flat collecting dust!
So it's looking like it's going to be a swim this afternoon...
Mine too Yasmine but Mary is right - now they're in the cupboard I can hear them calling my name!
Going to get bk to the porridge and weetabix tho - have been having too much sugar over the last week.
Matronix, your points are worked out according to weight, age and sex. I do go to the class but...
I know - I could eat them at every meal! That clusters advert made me buy them - I'm such a sucker for marketing!
have to keep them as an occasional treat tho :)
Day 26 - Thursday
BREAKFAST - Crunchy nut cornflakes.
LUNCH - None.
DINNER - Chinese take-away! So naughty, I know. So good tho :) And was my boyfriend's birthday so I had my arm twisted!
SNACKS - Laughing cow triangle, light popcorn, 2 crackers.
DRINKS - Few diet cokes, couple of...
I'm joing the gym today actually - want to start doing body pump again. I left the gym in November last year but they have emailed me saying I can rejoin for £20 a month which is a bit of a bargain I thought!
The Kiev was great but 5 points which is why there were no carbs on that meal!
Yeah, you're right though, we can't count calories/points forever can we?
I think when I reach goal at ww I'll just keep up the exercise and keep my portion control- and snacking - in check and see how that goes. I'm going to keep going to weight watchers so that I always know if the pounds are...
Well, I still have another stone and a half to go but not really in any rush. Will be happy with a couple of pounds a week. Actually, after last week's disaster I'd be delighted with a couple of pounds!
What's the core plan? I'm just doing the points.
Thankfully the muffins are all gone now. Had...
Hi :)
Well I get 18 but it varies depending on age/weight etc. My mum does it and gets about 24.
I got a telling off at the meeting on Saturday about not having all my points :(
So this week I am trying to eat a bit more. Sort of went a bit crazy yesterday though cos I was hungover- ooops!
I'm...
Thanks guys :)
I will stick at it and have all my points, I just really don't think I need to have any more.
Most days I have been having soup for lunch but the leader suggested I have a cheese sandwich cos it's more points. That just sounds crazy.
I guess I just have to trust in the diet and...
Thanks Yasmine :)
I will keep going - I have no choice! But it is just so annoying.
And I just want to eat less now so that I get a better result next week but they are telling me to eat more so I'm not sure what to do.
I think I'll take their advice for a week and have all my points, but do...
Just had my 2nd weigh in at ww and PUT ON 1LB!
I'm almost cried in the meeting!
I had been worried this week that I was eating too much but I was under my points allowance by loads, and doing well with my exercise.
I showed the two leaders my food diary and they both said I need to eat...
I used to hate it but kept forcing myself to go and now I'm used to it. I get up at 6am and go before work, so I've done an hour of exercise before 8am. If i didn't get it out of the way like that I know I'd be less likely to do it after a busy day at work. I wouldn't go as far as to say I...
Ryanair confirm s that ‘fat tax’ is a non-runner because it’s not collectible
Passengers want very large passengers to pay more
Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today (8th May 09) confirmed that it will not implement a ‘fat tax’ because there is no way to collect it without...
Oh my God, what a difference! You look spectacular Yasmine - well done!
Don't be nervous abour refeed, 23 weeks of TFR have proved you have amazing willpower - that'll keep you on the straight and narrow :)
x
Thanks Mary :)
I'm trying to get back into the routine of exercising everyday. Feel like I'm eating loads at the minute so need to work some of it off!!
x
Well, it isn't great but hun it's not the end of the world either :)
Why don't you go for a run or something to burn off those carbs and make yourself feel better?
DO NOT even think about making yourself sick.
You probably haven't had as many cals as you think. Was it reduced fat hoummus?
x
Yeah, I was - especially after the previously two weeks of major stalling!
Got a little round of applause at the weightwatchers meeting though which was highly embarassing!
Thanks guys :)
Emma, I've always been a bit of a sceptic about weightwatchers and only really joined for the weigh in - thinking I would be more likely to stay on the straight and narrow if I had the fear of a weekly weigh in!
But actually I have really got into the points and it's great.
Been...
Don't panic!
You will only start gaining lots of weight if you lose control and don't do the refeed properly.
Like Floridagirl, I went up a few lbs immediately but by the end of the week was 1.5lbs down, then the next week I lost 3.5lbs.
I'm not going crazy but I'm having little treats and...
Thanks Rach :)
The wedding was great but I was worried I was going to pay for it on the scales!!
FloridaGirl - I have never baked before but they were weightwatchers muffins so i thought I'd give them a go. Turned out really well and are only 1.5 points each so don't have to feel too guilty...
Thanks guys :)
Yeah I was on LT for the first 4 weeks, just needed to give myself a kickstart cos I couldn't get motivated.
Losing the first stone has sourred me on so I'm dead focussed now. got about a stone and a half left to lose untill target but thought it'd be better to do on WW than LT.
x
You have a motivating story of your own hun - you lost a phenomenal amount first time around and stuck to it for 11 weeks. And now you are motivting yourself to get back on, which I can imagine is harder after a break.
So well done, and welcome back :)
And you're right btw - you can't go to...
Day 13 - Friday
BREAKFAST - 2 weetabix with skimmed milk.
LUNCH- 2 slices of ww danish bread with bgty cottage cheese.
DINNER - Nothing :(
SNACKS - Apple, pear, 2 finger kitkat.
DRINKS - teah, couple of pints of water and about 8 vodkas with diet coke!
First weightwatchers weigh in today and lost 3.5lbs - woohoo :p
Went to a wedding last Saturday and drank loads - not to mention the highly calorific 6 course meal - so I'm delighted with that!
i had weetabix this morning - been four hours since and not hungry. just one point each too.
is tricky if you're at work though.
how about a banana, that should fill you up? or a low cal cereal bar.
or a bagel - they are REALLY filling.
x
I had them because I started weight watchers on saturday and they are only one point. They're easy to pop in the toaster in the office too.
Just checked and they are 75 cals each and just 0.3g fat. Mine are from Sainsburys.
x
God this is terrible!
I'm not sure what the rules are but you could certainly do without added stress when you have your finals looming couldn't you?!
Maybe someone will step in and rescue you before next week :)
What are you studying?
x
Don't worry about making a mistake on refeed Yasmine, you won't.
It is really straightforward and clearly you are approaching it cautiously so you won't go wrong.
You do sound like you are putting a lot of pressure on yourself though hun. If you start obsessing about putting on one pound you are...
My mum has a treadmill actually and only lives 10 minutes away so perhaps I should take advantage of that.
I prefer to run on the road but for nights like tonight the treadmill could be good - hillwalking might help to shrink my bum too!
well i went for a run last night and intended to go tonight too but my legs are killing! going to get up for a swim before work tomorrow instead.
i had my first weigh in on saturday then went to a wedding where i consumed about 3 days worth of points so need to counteract that before this...
Wow! that is amazing, well done :)
Bet there were a few people turning green with envy at that meeting!
I started WW on Saturday - if I get a result even half as good as that I'll be delighted!!
I just moved from Lipotrim to WW, have gained a few lbs but hoping it is glycogen. I did have a few drinks at a wedding on Saturday too though.
Fingers crossed I can rectify it before weigh in this week!
wow!
yumyum is right - seeing the difference like this is more powerful than even seeing your fab losses writted down.
well done summer - i don't know how you do it with those cakes in the kitchen tho ;)
i'm not sure about prawns, certainly for the first few days i think it's just white fish.
but you can have the quorn products, according to my leaflet.
I'm sure someone more authoritative will be along soon tho :)
x
summer, i also do the fish counter thing and pop the portions in the freezer.
also, i have started buying my potatoes grom the local grocers so that i can weigh them before i buy - that way i don't have to chop them up :)
I don't need to check the dictonary.
If you DID mean to write "distructive criticism" then you need to spell it thus, destructive. And it means criticism designed to be harmful - destructive.
So were you really saying you had intended to be harmful?
I don't need to check a dictionary as you...
And I have to say, miss unknown, calling me ignorant just proves what I was saying.
There are a lot of people here voicing their opinions but very few are getting personal like you are.
How dare you call me ignorant? Or anyone else. You really need to learn some manners.
This forum is meant to...
My God miss unknown, for someone so outraged about another's "narrowmindedness" you certainly know how to stick the boot in and get personal don't you?
I can't believe the stick Supaslimma is getting for making a perfectly rational comment. Yes there are kids (and adults) with disorders and...
found one!!

some people just enjoy being negative hun - really p*sses me off when they lecture about the health implications though. I am assuming she had no medical/nutritional knowledge of the diet?!
What makes people think they are suddenly qualified to pass judgement?
arrrghh - glad you put her in her...
I have just started too, after a month on Lipotrim.
I don't have any ww tips but my tip for staving off hunger is water water water!
It seriously does work and has improved my skin too. Also - I have noticed a massive improvement on my cellulite-ridden bum too!!
x
hi, I joined ww on saturday after 3 1/2 weeks on LT and a week of refeed.
I lost a stone and a half on LT which is halfway towards my goal. Want to lose the other half on ww cos thought that was the most sensible approac and will enable me to do more exercise than I could on just 400 cals a day...
sounds great :)
shame about the balsamic but you'll find the salad tastes amazing on its own anyway - everything tastes so much better!
I bought a grinder of garlic pepper from sainsburys which I have found great for seasoning my chicken with.
And the fromage frais is a god send too.
Good luck x
Day 7 - Saturday
BREAKFAST - Cup of tea
LUNCH & DINNER - Was at a wedding so went waaaay off the rails!!
Had a salmon & prawn salad starter, followed by fillet beef, roast veg and 1 roast potato. so nice - and not too crazy.
It gets worse though...dessert was orange and grapefruit...
Don't worry flirty - there is no chance of that! I was just so busy - went to the hairdressers and beauty salon and then shopping. Didn't want to grab something bad for me while I was out so I just waited til I got back.
Made up for it yesterday though - went to a wedding so drank lots of vodka...
Day 6 - Friday
Bad day today - missed breakfast and lunch :(
DINNER - Home made quorn spag bol with 4oz wholewheat pasta and sweetcorn
SNACK - Muller light
DRINKS - 1 coffee and couple of pints of water - nowhere near enough today :(
This fat tax that ryan air are introducing was actually voted for by the public.
They offered a choice of about 6 new charges - including a corkage fee and charging for loo roll, but fat tax won.
Also, they haven't said they are going to work it out by bmi - they have given a bunch of options...
they look yum summer - you have unbelievable will power!
have you ever made banana bread? or banana muffins? think i'm going to give them a go next week, i'm not exactly a natural though!
x
DON'T DO IT!!!
You've done the right thing coming on here :)
Have a look at the inspiration thread, or Yasmine's brilliant thread posted the other day - I think it was called "come on people".
Go and try on some trousers that are too small and think about how great you'll feel when you can do...
This pic was taken about 18 months ago on holiday on the Algarve.
I've had a couple of copies printed out and have put them around my flat to keep my focussed - I want my stomach this flat again!
I started refeed this week so need to keep myself on the straight and narrow!
If I keep it as my...
Day 5 - Thursday
BREAKFAST - Strawberry shake
SNACK - Apple
LUNCH - 4oz chicken breast, salad, balsamic vinegar.
DINNER - 6oz salmon steak, carrots, broccoli, 4 oz brown rice mixed with peas & spring onions.
Left half of the salmon, too full again!
SNACK - Fat free fromage frais & 6...
I know how you feel hun - I only lost 1lb at my last weigh in and even though I know a loss is a loss, it is hard to feel that way isn't it?!
But 2lbs is a big chunk of fat gone and you may continue to lose on refeed so it isn't completely the end of your LT journey :)
Congrats on the interview...
I posted a very similar thread to this Katy cos I had the same problem and everyone said exactly what I expected - have them all!
I don't think it affected my weight loss but we do need all three for all the nutrients etc.
The calories are so low in the first place missing a shake means getting...
FloridaGirl I was with you all the way until you got to the ice cream - Hagen Daaz all the way for me!!
And Kilobel - ikea meatballs are amazing, good shout!
hi gemsie :)
don't let the task ahead overwhelm you, you can do it.
I have only done 4 weeks but there are people still going dtong on here after way more than that and i'm sure they'll be along soon with support!
when is your wedding?
how long did you last when you were on LT before?
Oh my God I woke up so hungry this morning - haven't felt like this once on LT!
I only got about 4 hours sleep so that is probably not helping and making me crave sugar (or sleep).
Strange feeling though - I always used to wake up hungry before LT.
The difference is, I am going to deal with it...
My brother does LT and was a shake short this week so I gave him two of mine to make up for it. I called LT and they said two female shakes is the equivalent of one male shake.
So I think it is fair - men may be getting less sachets but they are actually getting more shake, if that makes sense?!
