    Little bit gutted, but...

    I was gutted this week too. First WI lost 3lbs, this week's WI gained 0.5 and I have no idea why!!! Tracked ALL week. Only difference is I used my weekly points this week. Giving it one more week otherwise going back to Discover Plan too.

    Opinions on VLCD - taste/cost

    Having tried both Slim Fast and Celebrity Slim I can't get past the first day as I just can't stomach the shakes and soups. I realise they are packed with vits etc but to me they taste revolting.     HEXs --how do you 'spend 'yours?

    HE's are beneficial to health not weight loss so they shouldn't affect your rate of losing weight. I usually use mine for milk and either a HI-Fi/alpen lights.

    gall stones-any advice?

    I have gallstones (on list for an op) and last week ended up in A & E with pancretatitis due to a stone that had moved and got stuck in the common bile duct. I ended up having surgery to remove it and feel much better now. Sorry, not trying to scare you, but please don't suffer in silence...

    Good luck with SW, you've done the right thing. I used to be a WWer, did the diet for 5 years but can honestly, hand on heart say the SW plan is the best thing ever. No counting points or going hungry. Stick with it, use all your HE's and syns when you can and you will see the weight come off.

    I don't use anything. Sainsbury's own mash potato is free on green and EE and is really creamy made up with water. It was also tested in the mag and came first. It's also cheaper than smash! We love it in this house and don't buy any other now.

    In the branded food section I'm sure there are WW branded foods with syn values but from memory I don't think there's that many. If you have the nutritional values you can use the syn calculator on the site.
