    1/3rd rule.

Our consultant says a third of the plate should be superfree, but if I have a meal where it isn't I don't tend to worry too much. My husband eats very little in the way of fruit and veg and still loses without problem.

Another one to add is Tesco Salmon fish cakes (think I may have mentioned them already somewhere?) 2 ppts each. I am right fussy with sausages and like the finest ones with carmelised onions and stuff. x

I was proud this week that I opted to walk to and fro the church for the Christening rather than taking the car AND I had heels on! x

Whoop whoop!!!! Well done, a lovely sight to see on any scales!
  113. pinkyfluff

    ooooh cake!

I am a school cook, but am giving it up at Christmas. I guess I am quite a natural cook, taught by my mum! I do like baking! I don't know how much icing I used so I think it'd be pretty hard to point. The cake underneath is just a victoria sponge with jam and buttercream filling. I have...
  114. pinkyfluff

How many pp in a bun??

I used to make smallish ones on discover that came out about 3.5 points so maybe your 5ppts is about right? I think some things we have to guess, I had a school dinner today and have had to guess how many ppts to us for it.
  115. pinkyfluff

No "Your Week" at the WW meeting

Had they run out? I think leaders were perhaps not quite prepared enough for how many bums on seats they were going to get with the new plan?
  116. pinkyfluff

    problems with calculator...

My friend bought an eat out guide last week and it was missing half the pages, some were in the wrong places and some were duplicated further into the book! Come on ww, get your act together!

    ooooh cake!

Here is one I made earlier! I have no idea how many points! Its for my step-daughters birthday. I will just have one slice, got to taste it haven't I?
  119. pinkyfluff

    oooh smoothie for breakfast!

I have just made a smoothie for my breakfast, delish! I put in 130g of frozen (defrosted) fruit, small banana and a pot of pearl du lait coconut yogurt, total 5ppts. Through a straw, very nice indeed. x

    Using non weight watchers cookbooks

ah sorry yes - if you have all nurti info and have stuck to the recipe then you can work it out using the paper wheel thingy or calculator. If you don't have esource or calculator, post the info and someone will work it out for you. x
  127. pinkyfluff

    think i went over..wat do u reckon?

    Trying all diets

I nearly always have read brek for breakfast, the chocolate one. 30g of ready brek, 150ml skimmed milk. Think its 4ppts and I find it really filling. x
  131. pinkyfluff

    Ahhhh e-source again!

Must admit I don't use esource everyday or even the ww site every day. It allowed me to change my weigh in day recently though. I keep my monthly pass as its cheapest way to go to class. I do think they still have a few gremlins over at ww site headquarters! x
  132. pinkyfluff

    Using non weight watchers cookbooks

If you have access to esource the recipe builder bit is pretty good. Otherwise it'd be a case of working out the ppts for each ingredients then doing the math. I do a lot of baking and use esource to work it all out for me. x
  133. pinkyfluff

Are people Eating Differently on the New ProPoints Plan?

Aside from eating more fruit and less bread and potatoes, I don't think I am eating that much differently. Still have ready brek for breakfast and still have the same sweet treats. x

  136. pinkyfluff

    Someone check my dinner please?

Yes that should be fine, I generally use 1/4-1/2 cup when I do rice so that all looks good to me. Are you enjoying the propoints plan? x
  137. pinkyfluff

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

    Best bread?

just used the first of my weekly points..

haha, :poh well we have to try them before hanging them out I guess. I know I am going to dip into mine again today as I had huge cooked breakfast for lunch with the most divine sausages which were 4 ppts each, that plus brekkie left me with only 2 ppts for the day. And I like a little...

Finally will get new plan (Saturday)

I think it will become calmer at groups soon, our leader told everyone to stay at the meeting so she could explain everything, my guess is many won't stay usually. It'll be the same right after new year I reckon! x
  142. pinkyfluff

    Best bread?

Ah it possibly is 5 then. I only worked it out for 1 slice. Still pretty good though for full sized bread I think. x
  143. pinkyfluff

You'll love the new plan! Def get the calculator if you can. I dithered and ummed and ahhed and then there were none left but I was lucky enough to snap up the last deluxe essentials pack so did get my mucky paws on one! I don't know if there will be a shortage of calculators - I would like...

Does anyone else feel the same

I am eating better is the way I think I see it. As the fruit it zero points I am tending to snack on that rather than the little choc bars. You know how it is - you can eat several little choc bars but you couldn't sit and eat several apples all in one go! I like the new plan but have to...

  151. pinkyfluff

    Best bread?

I last night discovered tat Kingsmill 50/50 is 2ppts per slice. I am happy to spend 2ppts on a proper slice as it is also 2ppts for the small ww white thick sliced. I think it might work out that wholemeal bread may come out better simply cos of the fibre content? x
  152. pinkyfluff

PP Menu - Can someone have a check for me please?

Yep looks good. Keep up te good work. x
  153. pinkyfluff

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

I discovered today that even though ww thick sliced white bread is 2 ppts per slice so is a full sized slice of kingsmill 50/50! x
  154. pinkyfluff

    bacon low in pp

I love bacon but tend to stay away from too much of it as I find it makes me retain water. I do like the turkey rashers though so might stick with that. Could just have a bacon buttie right now!!! x
  155. pinkyfluff

How many PP should i be on?

I'm pretty certain you'd be on 29 ppts daily. Think 70% of people are on 29 ppts a day. Don't think your activity level comes into it anymore, think its based more on your bmi? Hope someone resolved your query with a definate answer though. x
  156. pinkyfluff

    Help please

I use the official ww ppts calculator and I always work it out for the amount I am going to eat if the packaging gives per portion values. Just a note - its total fat and carbs, NOT sat fat and carbs of which is sugars. x
  157. pinkyfluff

    ww oil spray pump

Not sure how much they are but I bought one in Robert Dyas for about £6. Use mine all the time. x
  158. pinkyfluff

what can i get from the chinese that is low in propoints??

haha love the iphone posts - it makes it up as it goes along! I thought a mushroom chow mein was 6 ppts? x
  159. pinkyfluff

    ProPoints Calculator

I guess they felt the need to keep it pocket sized so in order to get all those buttons on they needed to reduce their size. On the plus point though I do think it overall functions better than the old one, i.e. it automatically takes from your weekly points, asks for your new weight every...
  160. pinkyfluff

just used the first of my weekly points..

It really is just a mindset isn't it. Some of us have embraced it already and some are just proceeding with caution until proved they can really trust it! Will no doubt be dipping into mine again over the weekend. x
  161. pinkyfluff

just used the first of my weekly points..

Ooh we're a bunch of physchological (sp!) bunnies aren't we! We have been brain washed into believing if we go over our daily points we won't lose. So suddenly giving us weekly points to play with is throwing our minds into panic. We have to put our trust into this and embrace every single...

What's going on with the ww website?

Yes the . is in the wrong place. My finger thinks it should be on the bottom right! The more I use it though the more I get used to it and am overall happy with it. x
  163. pinkyfluff

    ProPoints Calculator

The more I use it the more I am getting used to it. I think the smaller buttons make it seem more fiddly and therefore insensitive. I have quite long nails which makes it harder, I don't like using my nails to push the buttons but am finding I have to. On the whole I am happy with my...

  166. pinkyfluff

What's going on with the ww website?

Ah yes, I was thrilled to find it was pink too!!! Did wonder if they did a more masculine colour for the chaps though. x
  167. pinkyfluff

    All points eaten?

just to add - you may be on more than 29 points, but either way you do need to eat all your daily points, with 29 being the minimum anyone is on. x
  168. pinkyfluff

    All points eaten?

You don't have to eat any of your 49 weekly points - they are there for when you do need a little extra! But you DO have to eat your daily 29 points. You cannot carry over any points at all. Hope this helps? x
  169. pinkyfluff

    Tefal actifry

Just to add, I have had mine for almost 2 years now and I love it (along with all my other gadgets!) I have never put oil in it only ever fry light. Oven chips are THE best when done in the actifry! x
  170. pinkyfluff

    Proppoints

No its not as simple as doubling them. Off the top of my head I think the ready brek 30g is about 3 pp, but double check. I know thats what the chocolate one is! x
  171. pinkyfluff

What's going on with the ww website?

I relented and bought the deluxe essentials packs as I didn't find esource up to scratch at the moment. I do find the new calculator a little fiddly though as I have long nails! x
  172. pinkyfluff

    Old Journals

Are you talking about the 12 week trackers? They are in essence the same but the new ones obviously have enough points laid out for propoints and has a little bit at the front of each week for the 49 extar points. But in all fairness its simply a note book, so I would think you could easily...

How did you get on trying a little fruit today? The phobia you describe is how I feel about seafood, I can't watch someone eat seafood as I can imagine the texture in my mouth and my throat, just watching someone eat it makes me gag! Have you tried making fruit into smoothies? Can you eat...

  178. pinkyfluff

Could you do it like this as if you have 36 points a day

Yep. You can use (or not use) those 49 points any way you like. But you must always have your 29 a day and not carry them over. Anything above the 29 and dipping into your 49 you can hang onto for the rest of the week. Does that make sense?
  179. pinkyfluff

I'm getting so frustrated with this...

Step away from those scales. I think when you join a ww class you should have to hand in your old bathroom scales cos they are they biggest demotivator I know, we all become obsessive and scale hop. As it has been said about water retention it will more than likely be that. Try and sticj to...

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

  190. pinkyfluff

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

yes I agree about the beef, I had some yesterday and felt it was high even on the old discover plan, which surprised me as its lean and a good source of protein. x
  191. pinkyfluff

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

corn as in sweetcorn? yep still has a value as does peas. Lentils are higer too, i used to add 80g to my soup to thicken it and was previosly 1pt per portion but now it doubles at 2 pp per portion, may or may not continue to add them. x
  192. pinkyfluff

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

Thought it might be nice to share things you have found to be good value for propoints or on the other side of the coin not much bang for your buck propoint wise! My immediate ones are; ww vegetable supreme pizza is now 13 propoints! Quorn Southern style strips 2 propoint each! x
  193. pinkyfluff

    switched!

An exciting time to be joining us. Good Luck x
  194. pinkyfluff

    Quorn Products

Ooh i've got some quorn nuggets somewhere in my freezer, will dig them out. I believe quorn is quite protein based so it should work out fairly low on the new plan? x

Can't log in to the Weight Watchers site

How odd - I use firefox and got in no worries straight off - didn't even need to re-sign in! I am taking a more substanstial lunch to work today as I have a meeting straight after and I only have 9 points left for the remainder of the day.... Quite exciting this new plan! x

    Cheese? Those with pro-point knowledge....

At the moment I avoid cheese generally but I have heard that it will be better point wise on the new plan. Can anyone tell me how many pro-points 30g of bog standard cheddar will be please? If this post is in the wrong place my apologies, but please move it to its appropriate place. thanks x

pastry, deep pan pizza, doorstep bread toasted with real butter, a proper greasy spoon fry up, fresh french stick. Looking at my list - just lots of white bread really!

Anyone seen free registration for ww lately?

I suspect they have knocked them on the head for this new plan, best way will prolly be to pay for a monthly pass in class then cancel it as soon as after. This is what my friend did. x

    help with iwatchr

I think iwatchr is pretty good and you look far less conspicuous whipping out your phone in the supermarket than standing there with your points calculator! I often use mine whilst out n' about to work out points but don't use it to log food - I prefer pen and paper for that.

Help : New plan when to start?

I can understand why you'd be miffed at a leader like that. Surely she must know how much of a struggle it is to lose even 2lb a week so to big up (scuse the pun there) a member with greater losses is a little unfair to all those who are slow n' steady! But as you have been going it alone so...

Help : New plan when to start?

I would join. Reason 1, you'll have all the info so you'll be able to keep up with the flurry of conversations which I am sure will start up on here next week! Reason 2, as said before you can make an informed choice at the dinner. Reason 3, if you're anything like me you'd go to the dinner...

    Weightwatchers - Changing ??

I for one am hoping very much its beggar all like EE on SW cos all I did with that plan was gain 2lb, lose 1lb, lose 0.5lb, gain 3lb so on and so forth! 8 months and I got no where. I like my points (pokes bottom lip out) x

    Weightwatchers - Changing ??

I bought my wedding dress from ebay and had it altered 6 weeks before my wedding. I think my entire wedding cost less than £2000 - very frugal! You should get a wedding thread going for all things wedding related! The most expensive part of my wedding was the singer we had for the reception...
