    A Fat Ballerina..

Please do be careful. You already have a healthy BMI, please be proud of that and don't try to make yourself underweight again. I have had friends with eating disorders, and it is painful to watch. You have done well in recovery, please don't go backwards now. xxx

    WIND !!!!!!

I can only have bars in the evening. I had one for breakfast a few days ago because I felt the need to EAT something, and I had horrible, crampy wind all day:o At least if I have them before bed it sorts itself out overnight.

When did Exante stop deliveries to Ireland?

I live on the Isle of Wight and emailed them asking about delivery. Had a reply saying that if I spent over £100 they would waive a delivery charge. Might be worth you asking the same?

    Posting from 'inside!'

Hi. Some of you will know me from the CD forum. Back in May I entered a convent, hence the end of my CD journey. Well, here I am, from said convent, and needing a little support. After losing the end of my weight very very fast due to the stress, I put a little bit back on and am now at the goal...

    confused

I certainly couldn't! I'm about 2l down today so far and starting to think about the loo...but I find it a bit like when you are on the beer - once you 'brrak the seal' its non stop lol!

    confused

Your body can handle a constant supply of 900ml per hour water, totalling around 20l a day. Obviously most people couldn't get near that unless they spent the whole day in the loo! The problems arise if you try to 'down' say 5l in one go as it can dilute the salts and electrolytes in your body...

    confused

Its a falacy that 'the more you drink the more you shrink'. So long as you are drinking enough to stay hydrated (2.5-3l or so) the rest will just come through you. It won't do you any harm at all (up to 20l a day is safe) and can help you stay full, but it won't make you lose weight any faster.

Has anyone made it to a size 8-10 on the CD??

Goodness, you're tiny! My goal is 8st 13 (just to be under 9st:D) and currently around 9st10 give or take. Sort of wish I'd done LL, the management part seems like it would have suited me well.

Has anyone made it to a size 8-10 on the CD??

Hi! I'm a rare visitor on here, hence the late reply, but I have got down to a small 10/big 8! I am really pushing to be an average 8 now, but it is really really hard work, losing about half a pound a week tops, but I am determined to get there! Remember though that once you are that sort of...

    water worry ..

I don't have the exact figures to hand (do at home somewhere) but you would have to drink a huge amount of water very quickly to cause problems. I drink at least 4litres of water a day, plus tea, coffee, pop etc. Once you get used to drinking it you do find that you get more thirsty - your body...

Oh oh oh, got to share this!!!

It was a couple of days ago, so nearly forgot, but I am soooo happy! I was in Sainsburys the other day, stocking up on lettuce and cottage cheese, when I bumped into a friend's mum. The last time I saw her was when I spent last Christmas day with them. She nearly walked past me, and then...

    MMMMM 2ND TIME

I first did CD around March time, but ended up car-less and my CDC at the time was a 5mile walk away - I did go a few times but then gave up. I restarted during the summer with a new CDC who comes to me. I had put on everything I had lost, plus 1lb, but this time my weighloss has been better...

Ladies, and CDCs, a little advice please

I was flicking through my diary trying to sort out holidays etc, when I suddenly realised I haven't had a period for 11, nearly 12 weeks. Now, I am never regular, and anything between 6-9 weeks is 'normal' for me. The other week I fely PMSy, but nothing appeared. Now, I know that being very...

Does drinking Carbonated water affect weight loss?

Fizzy water is my 'going to the pub and not drinking drink'! I am planning on drinking about 6 pints of the stuff tonight. It has never affected my weightloss (but then I lose weight veeerrry slowly) but it can make me burp:o:p

Where have you most and least noticed the difference in your body?

Strangely, my waist has not changed very much, but my tummy has - used to have a fat tummy under my waist, if that makes sense? The bit of my leg just above my knees has got smaller too, though the tops of my thighs are still vile.

    Grief I'm cold!

Sadly its about the only 10 that fits so far, but its a start. Sallies, I can't bear central heating! At the very most I have it on the hour before I plan to get up and then an hour about 8pm. My bedroom window is never shut either - to the point that when I went away it was a struggle to...

    Grief I'm cold!

LOL! There is no heating on, but I don't have heating on at home either so thats nothing unusual. Hopefully all the shivering I am doing will help speed up my painfully slow weightloss! Or maybe its that I have a smaller layer of blubber now to keep me warm:p On a plus, I am wearing a fab...

    Grief I'm cold!

I am sooo cold its unbelievable. I am sitting in the office with my jacket on, I've even put my shoes on (never ever wear shoes indoors). I have drunk so many hot drinks I'm considering moving my desk into the loo! And its not even like I'm ssing! Brrrrr!!!!!

I'm unlucky and to maintain I only need about 1500cals a day:( Even when I am doing excersise it doesn't go up that much. Aiming for the low end of healthy?

Thanks for your reply. I am about 5ft5 and a weight of 8st7 would give me a bmi of 19.8. I used to be 8st2 for ages, but I think given that I'm a few years older now the extra few lbs would be ok.

Aiming for the low end of healthy?

Hi All. I just wondered how many of you are aiming to be at the low end of the healthy bmi range (19-20ish)? I am and I am finding it harder as time goes on - my bmi is 24 now and already people are teling my that I don't need to lose anymore weight. Well, no, I don't need to, but I want to, and...

    this week cant get worse

Definately tell your parents. I left home at 19, and by the time I was 21 I was absolutely broke, literally. I was so stubbon and bludyminded that I didn't tell my parents until I almost went under. I hadn't slept properly in months and just could not cope. In the end I had been round to my...

    Will the scales move tomorrow???

I switched up to 790 just last week as I am now doing a lot of excercise and just needed more than SS was giving me, but even on SS I wasn't losing more than a pound or two at a time. I find it so hard when people are reporting their fab losses, when mine is so slow.

    Will the scales move tomorrow???

Well, tomorrow is weigh-in day and I am a tad nervous:o Last week the scales didn't move at all, although I did lose inches. This week I feel lighter, but also know that that does not always mean anything:cool: . If it doesn't move tomorrow then I really don't know if it is worth my while...

    Somewhat random...I have grown!!

    Somewhat random...I have grown!!

Somehow, at age 27, I have gone from being 5ft4 to 5ft5:confused: I have no idea how, but I was measured twice in the last week, once at drs and once at the gym (both without shoes) and it is definately so. Which means, I am now only three and a half pounds off being a healthy weight! So on...

    Bit of a piggy yesterday

Yesterday I just could not stop eating. I'm doing 790 and have found it fantastic, and I know full well I wasn't actually hungry, but all I wanted to do was eat! In the end I had about 5 packs, an Atkins bar in town (damage limitation) my 3 tbsp veg, my 275g quorn, then another half pack of...

can the cd weaken your immune sytem?

Another thing - be careful if you supplement to avoid vit A - too much can harm your liver.

I am. It feels nice to get a compliment, especially as the scales are moving soooo slowly (and not at all this week:rolleyes: )

    My first compliment!

Woo hoo! Someone today commented on my weight loss - the first one! I have, in all, lost about 17lb since Christmas (9lb on CD), and am still in the same clothes, etc, so i was beginning to wonder if it would ever show! I am really chuffed. I also had my measurements done this week, and in the 8...

can the cd weaken your immune sytem?

Personally, I still take a mulitvit. The simple reason for this is that, yes, CD contains 100% of the RDA of vits and minerals, BUT the RDA is not necessarily enough to support your immune system. For example, the RDA for vit C is 60mg. This is based on the figure needed to stop you getting...

    Day 1 on 790

Muscles go hard when I tense them. Yes, I used to do daft things like jumping, twisting rouns, and landing on a strip of metal less than 2mm wide! I loved it, I still miss it, but when had to change coaches as mine went back to Canada I couldn't afford so many lessons with the new one (the...

    Day 1 on 790

I will be cycling most days, but some days only 2 miles (a mile to the station in the morning, then home again - it saves me 10mins compared to walking, and at 6am it really makes a difference!). My legs are already getting hard - I did figure skating for years, and as soon as I start to...

    Day 1 on 790

Hi Sallies - I was hoping you might reply;) I don't cycle fast (not yet anyway, only started a couple of months ago and not much), about 12mph judging on yesterdays timings. I guess if it is my muscles though, then it should be a oneoff that I gained - if I cycle each week I should lose next...

    Day 1 on 790

After struggling for several weeks on SS (not sticking to it properly, being hungry, etc) I stug to it religiously this last week and lost nothing. At the same time, I have ended up carless and so my exercise levels have probably quadruples as I am walking/cycling at least 6 miles a day - my...
