    Hi a really nice thing from ASDA is their own chickpea dahl. It comes in a tin and is very, very tasty and free on a green day. Its not that expensive and I always have a tin in my cupboard. Great filling for a jacket potato - yum, yum :D

    This is fab, I am an habitual snacker and need all the ideas I can, thanks folks. I have also discovered Aldi Harvest Morn 'Less than 70 Calories' cereal bars. They are only £1.29 for six so a lot cheeper than Alpen Light and only 3 syns each. I am addicted to the apple and sultana ones. :D

    Peachy, you are not alone, i had a similar start to my weight problem. I too was taken to see a dietican when I was 8 and I didn't have a clue either. I was basically told to go away, eat properly which meant boiled potatoes, boiled veg and lean meat and fish. Not really ideal for an 8 year old...

    Using up Syns??

    I also tend to use my syns in the same way to make my meals more interesting. I do though have a hot chocolate in the evening which helps with any sweet cravings I have. I know there not the real thing but they are only 2 syns and sometimes I add low fat sqirty cream. It helps me anyway.:)
