Hey Plum! Looks like you are doing great. Paleo/Primal suits you very well. It's great when we find a plan that suits our bodies and our lifestyle. I'm still a big fan of low GL . GL diet book?

I hope you're doing well. I follow a simple rule re portions. I keep protein to a quarter of the plate, starchy carbs also a quarter and the other half leafy veg or salads. If weighing protein I generally keep to between 80-100g. Cut it up finely and it looks a lot more on the plate. I also now...

I'm liking your positivity despite the little gain. You're right, it is doable to knock ten pounds off over seven weeks. Even if you don't , your shape will definitely change with the intense fitness regime. I agree that alcohol is the hard one to manage. It is converted straight to fat storage...

Looking good apart from brekkie. It may be you just fancied that today but it might not be filling enough. A more protein based brekkie might keep you fuller for longer. Good luck for the day. Enjoy your exercise tonight.

    Louloubelle`s Re~Feed Diary after losing 6 1/2 stone TFR April 2012

Yes, meat portions are small but filling if you are open to change. I widened my horizons when I moved to low GL. I now make more stir fry or casserole type dishes and non meat dishes. 75g - 90g of chicken, turkey or fish chopped up finely looks a lot more and is filling too. I bulk up these...

For sure, alcohol will make it a bit harder to maintain but it is not impossible. Certainly you will have to consume less alcohol if you don't want to struggle at maintaining. Up your exercise and watch portion sizes and you should be able to enjoy your drinks. You'll soon find a balance to suit...

Thanks. Just do lots of research and planning about how you will maintain. It does not have to be obsessive and you don't have to feel that you are on a forever diet! Portion control is most important!! We really do not need big platefuls of food. Keep up the water habit you learn on TFR. I...

    Irish Molly's 2012 Diary

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by. I'm doing well. Easter was nice and if course I did have a little too much wine, food and some chocolate! Two pounds up but I'll knock that off in a week. I'm well back on track. I'm putting in a week of " NO wheat, potato, pasta, rice". This always gives...

New Year, back on the GL bandwagon

I always see a STS as a good result. Without the effort it would have been a pound or two up!! So well done! A couple of good days will get you back on track to a loss.

JanD (Another) New Year (Another) New Start :o)) x

I'm sure you will shift a fair bit in four weeks particularly if you can keep off the alcohol. I know when I avoid it, the weight shifts easily for me. I just keep visualising the alcohol being converted straight to blubber, which is the reality, and it keeps me focused. Well done for making a...

Good luck for getting back on track. I know it's not easy but just take it a day at a time. Try and avoid trigger foods/ drinks that you know will make you overeat.

Well done on finishing your stint on TFR and on having a great result. Refeed seems to be going well for you. Keep up your water intake. I found it the best thing I learned on TFR. Water really helps take the edge off the appetite. Keep a close eye to portion sizes too as it is easy to overdo...

Easter Weekend off - friday, sat & sun

Coke zero has sweeteners that may trigger cravings etc. sparkling water would be a better option. If you ate keeping to two shakes and a meal the damage will be minimal anyway. If you feel like it, have a coke or two.

Easter Weekend off - friday, sat & sun

If you eat over two days you will come out of ketosis. If you are happy about that then limit the damage. You don't have to eat everything on the plate. If you are on all inclusive I'd suggest the following; Breakfast: eggs any way you want. Cold meats and cheese Bacon Don't eat bread or fruit...

Eat Natural Bars & 9 Bars

I agree that the eat natural bars are too high in sugars. I tried lots of bars and the best for me are either the Nakd bars or Carmans range of bars. The Nakd 68g bar does me fine for a lunch at a pinch if there is nothing suitable where I am or if I am in a rush. The smaller ones make a good...

    Irish Molly's 2012 Diary

Yes, I have found this a great approach. In the past I'd let a bad day become a bad few weeks with the consequent gains. Now, if I feel like a munch fest I have a little one and STOP right there!! Getting back on track quickly is what I try to do unless I have planned a few days excess.
