    My 100% Experience/Opinion (For what it's worth!)

Hi i didn't do exercise other than walking while I was on LT but since refeed I've done at least 10k steps a day (usually nearer 15k), 5 minutes ab exercises, 5 minute arm exercises and 25 minute on an exercise bike 6 days a week. I also use myfitnesspal.com to keep tabs on my calorie intake...

    My 100% Experience/Opinion (For what it's worth!)

Hi i haven't posted on here for absolutely ages, but I have had a nose through the posts now and again and wanted to add a quick update. I think it's relevant here because like Betsy I stuck to LT 100% and never once cheated. I started on 8/9/2009 and weighed about 19 st and ended on 8/2/2010...

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Brilliant!! How's the hunger pangs? I forgot to say before I found drinking fizzy water filled me up more than still - not the posh stuff, I still get a few bottles of 16p for 2 litre bottles from Sainsburys. Congratulations on your loss. Jon

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Are you in ketosis? You should be, and that should minimise the hunger pangs. I felt empty all the time but that was not really the same as hunger. Stick with it - I guess today is weigh day so that should hive you a boost. Let us know .... Jon

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Yup! Had the first bit of liposuction on 1st July, so was trussed up and a bit tender for a week, but am fine now. I've got to go back and see the consultant in August to discuss the next stage (which should include some skin removal once all of the swelling has gone down and it's all properly...

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Hi Damo Great post - and what you've gone through is totally normal on LT. Stick to it though - it really does get better. It sounds as though your head is in the right place; this is a change for LIFE and while being on TFR is a temporary thing, a new attitude to the way you approach food is...

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Good luck Slick Lipotrim's austerity is what made it work for me so I hope your doctor approves. Some do and some don't - not sure why. My advice os to stick to it 100% and you won't go wrong. Jon

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Hi Nathan Your pharmacist should have talked to you about the lack of energy - and more important the fact that you shouldn't do anything physically exerting whilst on LT. I still remember the dizzy feeling in the early days and they do get better, but I'm pretty sure that LT would recommend...

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Good luck Shane - fingers crossed for your 7lbs. Nathan - if you stick to it 100% LT say you should lose about a stone a month, so I reckon you should expect to be down at least 20lbs or so. All the best Jon

    LipoTrim for MEN...

Hi Nathan All the best with your LT experience. I cannot praise it highly enough - it has truly changed my life. About this meal with your boss: If I were you I'd be honest; tell him about the diet, and ask if he would be happy for you to come along and drink water only. Otherwise don't go...

    Andy's Lipotrim Diary

Hi Andy I went to see my Doctor after losing the weight (just because I hadn't been for a couple of years and I wanted her to know I had lost the weight) and she referred me straight away to a consultant plastic surgeon (all on the NHS). I was surprised that the NHS would do it, but the Dr said...

Hi Andy Great to read about your progress. I lost about 7 stones last year on LT. I went from a 19st slob with size 44" waist to my current 11.5 st with 31" waist so I know how you feel. It is such a fantastic feeling, but one which is hard won so you should feel really proud of yourself...

    Checking In

Just thought I'd check in - I've not been around much on here for ages which I feel bad about 'cos it was such a help to me when I was in the throes of Lipotrim. Jon's Refeed Diary

Hi How's today gone? My advice (for what it's worth - your loss is amazing!!) is: -Stick to the refeeding plan 100% for at least 2 weeks -Keep a diary of everything you eat and what exercise you do -As your calorie intake goes up, try to increase your exercise -Keep going to the...

Hi I'm still here! I've managed to maintain my weight through the summer and am still counting the calories and exercising to keep it all in check. Jon's Refeed Diary

Hi guys Just a quick update - I managed to lose a couple of pounds this week inspite of spending Saturday lunchtime in Harry Ramsden's...... I'd been looking forward to fish & chips as a treat but I didn't really enjoy it - not 'cos of any guilt, but I just didn't like the taste as much as I...

    Saggy skin after weight-loss

It depends on how much weight you have to lose, and how old you are. I've lost about 7 stones and have quite a bit of loose skin. At 43 my skin has lost quite a bit of its elasticity but as long as I maintain my new weight for a few months the NHS will offer me surgery to put everything back...

    Jon's Refeed Diary

Pretty much the same happened to me - I went to the Doctor's once I finished TFR and I was referred to a plastic surgeon. Jon's Refeed Diary

Hi Betsy Yep. I get through 3 or 4 litres a day. I'm trying to stick to 1300-1600 cals a day (although sometimes it's a bit higher....) and I'm doing what exercise I can: I run 1.8 miles 3 or 4 times a week, use the exercise bike on days when I don't run and walk as much as I can (aiming for...

    quick question

Hi - great question! I think it's because the water helps flush out all the toxins and rubbish, plus it helps keep you full and properly hydrated. I know if your body starts to feel it is being deprived of water it will be less likely to get rid of its fat stores. Hope someone has a proper...

can you still loose weight during refeed and beyond?

Hi Any temporary diet only offers the opportunity to start afresh. If you go back to eating as you did before you will put weight on. Where Lipotrim is (IMHO) better than others is that it gives you a complete break from having to think about food, so you can re-educate your palate and get rid...

    What truth in rumours ?

Putting back weight lost during a diet is very common because dieters see a diet as having an end point, and then revert to old habits when that point is reached. Any diet (including Lipotrim) will be useless if that happens. What Lipotrim does though is give you an opportunity to rid yourself...

Hi I've lost getting on for 7 stones and have some loose skin on my abdomen, and the turkey neck remnants of a double chin. Back (again...ahem)!

MYK is right of course, but human beings are more complicated than that. The vital point is to re-educate your palate and learn about nutrition whilst you're on TFR. Read, discuss and learn. Don't be afraid of it though. It is VITAL that you change your relationship with food because if you eat...

    Goal

Hi Matt 4 oz of cooked pasta is a TINY portion - I was so disappointed when I measured it out. I did have it on the first day I was allowed, but now I have a jacket potato instead - you get far more bulk & taste for the number of calories. Hope today is going well! Jon
  62. dunlop73

    Goal

Well done on reaching your goal Matt - it is a fantastic achievement. Refeeding is harder than TFR but don't worry about it. Keep sticking to the rules and you'll be fine. Struggling

Hi Cathy - It's not good to have too few calories - I reckon you should be having around 800-1000 a day in the first few days (only small meals, but the 2 LT products are quite high in calories) and then around 1300-1400 thereafter, going up to around 1600 for maintenance. It depends on your...
  66. dunlop73

    question :)

Why not save them until maintenance? They won't be wasted and you can use them as and when you need them then. Jon
  67. dunlop73

    Help please! :)

A week should be fine as you've only done such a short run. You should still follow it strictly though. Good luck with WW. Jon
  68. dunlop73

    Seriously considering LT

I couldn't afford it either, but as I've been referred by an NHS doctor to a plastic surgeon at an NHS hospital I assume there won't be a charge. I didn't think the NHS would do this, but my pharmacist says that they will if they see that you have made a real effort to lose the weight - and...

    Jon's Refeed Diary

Thanks Ro. Good luck with the rest of your loss. I suppose if you go back on TFR or not depends on how quickly you want to lose the weight, and how disciplined you are. I never did well with WW type diets because they didn't deal with the food problems I had. LT allowed me to look at the...

    Seriously considering LT

Hi I lost 6 and a half stones in 5 months on Lipotrim. The headaches last for only a few days (during the first three or four days) and you can take paracetomol with no problems. LT really suited me because I needed simple strict rules to follow and you can't get easier to follow rules than...

    I need lipotrim help..

Hi I'd say it's worth persevering if you possibly can - in a sense it doesn't matter that you don't enjoy it - in fact it's good if it trains you to see food as a practical necessity rather than an enjoyable experience whilst your on LT. Think of it as fat burning medicine. The flapjacks are not...

what do u think of the chicken soup?

I liked the soup at first, then tried a hot chocolate. It was DISGUSTING and I realised that it was because it tasted just the same as the soup. Couldn't stomach the soup after that. Regarding Cambridge - I know it suits many people, but it wouldn't have suited me. I have used some CD...

    Re-feeding question?

The maintenance products are lower in calories too, but the normal shakes are fine for the first week of refeed. Good luck with it (and don't get too excited about the bars - they're OK but nothing to write home about). Jon xx
  76. dunlop73

    Too much water?

It doesn't say that on my bag - it says a minimum of 2 litres per day (and more if you have mousse or flapjack instead of shakes). That said I'm sure you can have too much but drinking an extra litre or two of water throughout the day would be no where near as dangerous as being as overweight...

    Too much water?

I think anything up to 4 litres is fine, although I often have a bit more than that (maybe 5 some days) and it hasn't done me any harm - in fact I'm pretty sure it's done me good. I know that a huge amount can be harmful and wash away nutrients but I'm sure 4-5l would be fine. Jon
  81. dunlop73

Can you eat just one of the choices?

You can just have just one flavour, but don't be surprised if you get bored of it. I liked the soup at first but soon couldn't bear the thought of it, and the opposite happened with the flapjacks. Give the others a try again in a week or two - you'll be surprised how your tastes change. Drink...

    Preparing Ourselves

Hi both Good luck with it. Read the bag carefully, stick to what LT say 100% and as Annes says, drink loads of water and you'll be fine - I find fizzy water more filling and as it's only 10p for a 2 litre bottle at Asda/Sainsburys/Tesco it's really cheap. What are your goal weights? All the...

    Life after LT!?

Tanya is right - I'm just starting week 3 of eating, and am sticking to the refeed plan really carefully. They're not the same at all. Whoever is giving your friend this advice is talking rubbish - sorry. There really is only one way to do Lipotrim properly, and that is through a proper pharmacy and by reading and sticking to what it says on the bag. Good luck - if you stick to it 100% it really...

Thanks Annes - I'll give it a try when I get some time and let you know. Sometimes I really wonder about myself...

Good luck Cookeh. I'm sure you're right: if you have food addictions as I had/have (?) LT is better than CD. I'm now using some CD products to help for maintenance and they are very nice but would have certainly sent me down a very dangerous path when I was losing the weight. Some of the bars...

A question for those who have been on it for a while

I was on TFR for 5 months and as I lost weight I became more energetic during the day, but that may just have been carrying around much less fat. I did (and still do) get tired at night and am going to bed really early (usually before 10pm) but I have always been a morning person so am up and on...

Sometimes I really wonder about myself...

Hi Cookeh Why don't you have a short break from LT? You know yourself that your head needs to be in the right place, and if yours isn't it won't work. You can't do it because you think you ought to, only because you REALLY want to. Relax and take a break lovie. Do some reading and serious...

No slip ups when I was on tfr. I've just finished the second week of refeeding and am still sticking to the blurb but the rules are mch easier on tfr. I've got my weigh in this afternoon so keeping my fingers crossed I haven't put on. Jon xx

    Very Sceptical about LT :/

All absolutely right. Think of LT (or any other diet come to that) as an opportunity. It can get us to a healthy weight. What we do then is up to us. My suggestion is to read as much as you can - not just about food but about the psychology of eating. Paul McKenna's book "I can make you thin"...

Hi Iris Really sorry you've not been well. I hope you're on the mend now. Don't worry about the LT - you need to be OK in mind and body to do it, and once you're better you'll be fine. You were SO close to your goal so will easily lose the last bit. Take care, and don't stop posting lovie Jon xx

    lipotrim or cd?

i don't think one's "better" than the other - it's just that it depends what your food issues are. Lipotrim definitely suited me better: I needed a break from thinking about food, or even flavours, and the rather bland flavours on LT were perfect for that (!). Also there's no shopping, no...

Just chewed something for the first time in 4 1/2 wks!

It's not really a good idea to mess about with the LT formulas like that. As Big Biker says microwaving will destroy the essential vitamins and minerals. No - I never had either of those symptoms. I think you should phone the LT helpline and talk to them about it. They are very helpful - it maybe that you are allergic to something in the shakes? Hi Sazzles Sorry you're still going through it. You really must have your full quota of shakes everyday. We are on the minimum number of calories that prevent us going into starvation mode. Silly Question !

I drink mostly sparkling water, but my pharmacist told me it is mildly acidic so you should have still water last thing at night or it's not so good for your teeth. (I was livid at the time - no food, no booze and even bloody water comes with a warning now.....) Jon xx

Struggling to drink 4pints of water !!!

Do you prefer fizzy water? I don't think there's an easy way round it, but it is really essential that you do drink 4 pints (and that's a minimum really) to flush out all the toxins and fat. You could try to make your shakes/soup thinner - that would increase your liquid intake. I'm sure with...

    Weigh in 1

That's an amazing loss Liam. How are you feeling on it? Jon
  188. dunlop73

    Weigh in 21!

Oh I'm blushing now!! I know I've said it before but it's you lot that have kept my head in the right place and I am SO grateful to this forum and to LT. I'll definitely keep a refeed diary going, and I'm quite looking forward to it now (but still a bit nervous). My pharmacist is brilliant and...

    Weigh in 21!

Thanks everyone - not just for these message but for all the help and support I've had - I really couldn't have done it without you. (Sounds like I've finished - I haven't!! Got another 10lbs or so to go) Stinky - you're so right about how I look at food. I have seen it as the enemy and blamed...

    Weigh in 21!

Hi Just got back from my weigh in and lost 5lbs this week. I can't believe it really - after all this time I'm bloody delighted!! This will probably be my last week on TFR. Having a glass of bubbly right now to celebrate! Jon
  191. dunlop73

    feel like im goona cave

Yeah Karen - please don't give in. Even "good" food will ruin LT for you and everything you've achieved - you won't enjoy it and will be so fed up afterwards. It might satisfy your hunger pangs for a couple of hours, but they'll soon come back, and having given in once you might do it again...
  192. dunlop73

    coming back---soon :)

Should find out tomorrow when my pharmacist thinks I should start refeeding. I've done a fair bit of preparation for it, but can't help feeling jittery. It feels like having the stabilisers taken off my bike when I was 7. Jon xx
  193. dunlop73

    What a week

Hi Stinky Sorry you've been ill - sounds really nasty so I'm glad you're through the worst. All the best on CD - seems you're taking a few people with you! I'm really interested to hear about the food - looks like I might be starting refeed within the next week or two so I'm starting to get a...

    coming back---soon :)

Lovely to hear from you Tafflass! Nice to see some familiar faces around again! I am so sorry about your terrible loss - hope you and the family are sticking together and taking one day at a time. Take care, and welcome back. Jon xx
  195. dunlop73

    am starting lipotrim 2moro !!!!

Yeah - day three is tough because it's about then that your body will go into ketosis. The good news is that once you've gone through that, you're losing fat!! Another danger point is 3-4 weeks in (see all the LTers changing to CD after 3-4 weeks?). My advice is to stick with it if you possibly...
  196. dunlop73

We're Leaving :( CD Here we come

It does seem very fashionable to switch to CD at the moment. I think it's horses for courses. There's definitely more variety on CD and the different stages mean that the refeeding and getting back to regular food is more organised than LT. BUT..... The blandness of LT is deliberate and for some...
  197. dunlop73

need to get my bum into gear

Hi Kelly LT will be great for you if you can hack it - 'cos you've only got about sixty pounds to lose. You should do that in 3 or 4 months so by the summer you could be at goal! Bells is right - if you have food issues (as I have) LT is great because the choice is taken away - it's impossible...
  198. dunlop73

The battle of losing half my body weight!

Hi Cherry A very similar thing happened to me with Atkins - works great whilst you're doing it but it taught me nothing about portion control. I really hope the food holiday on LT will help with that. I'm also trying to tackle the emotional aspects of eating - reading Paul McKenna's I Can Make...

    Jay's Journey

Great loss again! Couldn't agree more about LT. Probably saved my life, or at least added a good few years. I think they need to improve the pharmacy vetting, and get rid of the rubbish ones! Had a sneaky weigh in this morning and have passed the 6 stone mark!! Jon
  200. dunlop73

    starving

It'll definitely get easier. I've done very nearly 5 months so it is possible to reach your goal. Once you're in ketosis (you'll know 'cos your mouth will feel furry and your breath will "change") you'll feel much better. It usually takes 3-4 days before it kicks in. Your first week's loss will...

    Hello - I'm Back

Hi Hannah Lovely to see a familiar face! You really helped me when I started so I know you'll have no bother getting back in the swing. Jon xx
  202. dunlop73

    finding it really hard

You've had great advice here - ketosis is important but TFR is even more important if you're going to de-programme your mind about food. Good luck for your last few pounds Jon
  203. dunlop73

    Weigh in 3!

Great loss for week 3! Many people find week 3 really tough - how was yours? I started to feel great by week 4 and have ever since. Jon
  204. dunlop73

    First notable benefit of LT...

Fantastic news Cookeh - you must be delighted. Out of interest did your doctor know that you lost your weight through LT and does he approve? All the best for tomorrow Jon xx
  205. dunlop73

    Heh heh heh heh!!!!!!

Fantastic Molly! 5lbs is amazing when you've been on LT as long as you have. I'm only a week behind you and would be bloody delighted with a 5lb loss in my 21st week. Congrats. Will raise a glass of fizzy water (still only 10p for 2l at Sainsburys hooray!!!) in your honour tonight. Jon xx
  206. dunlop73

    Rubbish!

2lbs closer to goal though! And all fat!!! Well done lovie Jon xx
  207. dunlop73

    Advice? :)

Looks like your head is in the right place Lisa - but don't do LT just for a holiday. It's great to have a goal in mind but don't forget this isn't a "quick fix". If you use it properly it will set you up for LIFE and end the feast/famine diet treadmill most of us have spent years on. You'll...
  208. dunlop73

    Advice? :)

Hi Lisa Welcome to Lipotrim - you've made a great choice of diet if you've a fair bit to lose, so all the best with it. The first step is to make absolutely sure that you really WANT it to work. Stick to the rules (to the letter!!!) and it will work for you. There are loads of "helpful"...
  209. dunlop73

    Advice? :)

Hi I'm sorry you've been feeling depressed. Turning to food is something that (probably) all of us on here have done - that's why we're here. You need to get your head in the right place for Lipotrim to work though. You really can't eat whilst on the programme - it is part of the de-programming...
  210. dunlop73

    kept the weight off

Great post Matt. I'm coming towards the end of my TFR and am starting to look ahead to facing food again. I'm reading loads - just finished "How Not To Get Fat" by Ian Marber, and starting Paul McKenna's "I Can Make You Thin". Both are very anti diet, but both make really interesting and useful...
  211. dunlop73

    Good/Bad News

The loss is great news - well done! What's even better news is that you have a pharmacist who a) cares and b) knows about LT. You should be really pleased 'cos some of them are terrible. Good luck with the water - I'm sure you'll get used to it. Jon xx
  212. dunlop73

    1 more week!!

Enjoy it stinky. You deserve it. Jon xx
  213. dunlop73

    Feeling really ill!

Glad you're feeling better (and good news on the loss). Jon xx
  214. dunlop73

    Fell off the LT train!

Sorry (again) but having a meal with LT shakes is not doing Lipotrim. You'd be much better off finding a diet that really suited you and that had support and help rather than risking making it up. Have a look at Cambridge - there's too much choice on it for me but a good friend of mine is doing...
  215. dunlop73

    Fell off the LT train!

Hi Theresa Sorry you've been going through it. As your BMI is now healthy, you could think about doing a legit refeed - that way you'd get a meal a day (and in a bit, 2 meals) and you'd still be following LT with the maintenance products. Or - can you do Cambridge in Ireland? That diet is much...
  216. dunlop73

    Peppermint oil?

I doubt it to be honest - but to be sure phone the LT helpline. Good luck Jon
  217. dunlop73

    1 more week!!

Really glad you've come to a decision you're happy with. I'm sure you're doing the right thing for you love and I really hope you do at least as well on CD. My friend loves it and has lost 17lb in her first 3 weeks (ans I do secretly envy her the meals). All the best with it stinky - please let...
  218. dunlop73

    Feeling really ill!

You mustn't feel bad about eating. You can come back onto LT as soon as you're better, but your health must come first. Don't worry about the weight loss whilst you're ill lovie - just get yourself better soon. Jon xx
  219. dunlop73

    Please help! Bad breath!

LT say Original Listerine is fine but I found it very strong, so I got the Listerine strips from eBay. It is a pain to get hold of them but they are really effective and easy and convenient to use. Stinky is right though - it is a sign that you are now losing fat!!!! Jon
  220. dunlop73

    something happened overnight

Fantastic feeling isn't it!! That's why I love this diet. Jon xx
  221. dunlop73

    Update on Battling (from yesterday)

Yes - it is good to hear you're both feeling a bit better today. Keep working at it Stinky - don't buy the food "just in case" - I'd be worried that having it handy might encourage you to give in quicker. I know I've suggested Cambridge to you before (in a not so gentle way...sorry love!) but...
  222. dunlop73

    Listerine Stips

I get mine from eBay too, but LT only recommend the mint flavoured ones, so I would stick to those. Jon
  223. dunlop73

    Battling!

Hope you're feeling better now lovie. How did you get on during week 3? I found it the hardest week by far, so maybe that's what you're going through? If it is that I can guarantee that things get better - as long as you stick to it!. After a month on LT I felt better than I'd ever felt in my...
  224. dunlop73

    voices in my head

Right - if you're in ketosis then maybe you need to learn the difference between hunger and wanting to eat. I have struggled with that for years, but the beauty of LT is that your body will soon accept that food is not an option so I promise that the feelings will pass (as long as you don't give...
  225. dunlop73

    voices in my head

Don't be sorry - we've all been there. As Cookeh says you are just at the mercy of your food demons - and it is a real and powerful addiction that you (and the rest of us) are trying to overcome. How long is it since you restarted? Just asking because if it's only been a few days you might not...
  226. dunlop73

    Really starting to lose it.

Wow - annes - you're absolutely right. As far as I can see there are 4 aspects to weight loss and for it to be truly successful all 4 need to be done properly and fully. The first is to really WANT to do it. It's no good wanting ti for someone else, or feeling it ought to be done. The second is...
  227. dunlop73

    Baggy skin

Sorry to be a party pooper but eating whilst on LT is a definite no-no. You should either do TFR or not. It is possible to follow the Lipotrim Maintenance plan which uses different formulas as meal replacements (a bit like Slimfast) and then eat a lo-calorie/lo-carb dinner if you'd prefer to...
  228. dunlop73

    Jay's Journey

Hi Jay I lost 4 lbs this week too, and it looks like I'll be starting my re-feed on 8th Feb. Losing the obese label is a great boost - next stop is "healthy weight". Can't imagine how that will feel but really looking forward to it. See you on the re-feed board in a few weeks. Jon
  229. dunlop73

    advice please

Walking should be fine - as long as you don't push it to the point of getting out of breath. Don't worry about the calorie thing. Although you're only taking in a very few, you're living off the normal amount - that's how the diet works. In every stone of excess fat you have there are 37000...
  230. dunlop73

    Really starting to lose it.

And just noticed that you're half way to goal!! Come on stinky - you can do it.
  231. dunlop73

    Really starting to lose it.

Should have added that I was pretty low in week 3 of LT, and maybe that's happening to you too? I soon perked up, and after 4-5 weeks felt great. :-) Jon xx
  232. dunlop73

    Really starting to lose it.

It's really up to you. Atkins does work and the food you eat is great (if you're not a veggie). There are far more choices to make on Atkins and it's fairly easy to stick to. Over a period of 9 months I lost about 4 stones and was delighted. The problem was (I think) that I was still eating...
  233. dunlop73

    I could cry,i'm a joke :(

Definitely change pharmacists. They should be there to support you and not "accuse" you of anything. I am really sorry that you ate though - it will have upset things a bit, but as Scotmist says you have 7 days to put it right. PLEASE don't eat again until re-feed, whatever the provocation...
  234. dunlop73

    Really starting to lose it.

Hi I did Atkins a few years ago. I found it a good diet in as much as I lost quite a bit of weight but it does nothing to retrain you about flavours/portion size etc. i'm convinced that's the key - that's why LT "food" is so bland. We need to re-programme our taste buds. I know you're really...
  235. dunlop73

    having nightmares about eating?

I think I dreamed about food nearly every night for the first month or so. Often I'd wake up and feel guilty because in my dreams I'd always given in and eaten. Never have really though, so maybe it's healthy to cheat in your dreams? Jon
  236. dunlop73

    week 9 WI

Fantastic Cookeh! Well done on getting back on. Jon xx
  237. dunlop73

    Whats your motivation???

I was fed up of being embarrassed everytime I caught sight of myself in a mirror or window. Embarrassed and frankly horrified because in my head I didn't look anything like that. Jon
  238. dunlop73

    Week 2 weigh in

Hi As you say, a loss is a loss and 2 lbs is the equivalent of 16 sausages! I think also that you may be comparing your losses with other peoples. Your current weight is lower than some people's goals so you are not seriously overweight to start with. What I mean is that as a proportion of your...
  239. dunlop73

    Going away...

Hi I'm sure you'll be fine as long as you don't go mad at Centre Parcs. It's mostly fairly gentle exercise rather than hard core cardio which you should avoid. If you feel you won't be able to manage though you must do a proper re-feed the week before. You should also bear in mind that some...
  240. dunlop73

    Carb Free Rice!!!!! :D

When I was on Atkins I used to have cauliflower boiled and blitzed in a processor - very like mash (and on Atkins I could have it with sausages). Used to love it! Not ready for refeeding for another couple of weeks but having a poke around here and nice to see some familiar faces! (Don't really...
  241. dunlop73

    Why I Am So Motivated

Good luck louty. Remember that LT is not a miracle cure if you have food issues. It will help you get to a good starting point for a new attitude to food and a healthy lifestyle but you must prepare yourself for that while you're on TFR. It's something that many of us are struggling so you're...
  242. dunlop73

    blown it big time :(

Good luck Jools. Great to hear some positive stuff about the flapjacks! Jon xx
  243. dunlop73

    Soooooo disappointed!

Hi Molly Think of it as 9lbs over two weeks - that's a much better rate of loss than me! Also, by next week your total losses will add up to 70lbs which is 5 stones!! I hope you've got some treat lined up to celebrate. I do know that it's disappointing when you don't lose what you hope/expect...
  244. dunlop73

    I hate myself

That is one fantastic attitude girl! I've just read Ian Marber's "How Not To Get Fat" and it is quite a good read for anyone who has difficulty getting their head around food. Worth a read for when you're preparing to eat again. The more I look into it the more I am convinced that our weight...
  245. dunlop73

    I hate myself

Hi You asked why you sabotaged your success last year - If you're like me (and I believe, most of us on this forum) you probably have a problem with (ie an addiction to) food. It's a serious issue, and unlike tobacco, drugs or alcohol it's not really recognised and people (and ourselves) just...
  246. dunlop73

    blown it big time :(

Hi Jools Everyone's right - look forward not back. Try to remember how eating has made you feel though. The next few days will be tough as you get back into ketosis, but you will make it. You know that feeling confident on that holiday is worth so much more than a couple of sausage rolls. New...

    shop clothes sizes... question...

Hi I know I'm only a man (!) but I've discovered that I have to try everything I buy on now. I simply don't know my body shape anymore as it has changed quite a bit (woo hoo!) and is continuing to change. I've got emergency stuff at Matalan and Sainsburys for now and will get some decent clothes...
  248. dunlop73

    Really annoyed with myself...

Hi Cookeh With you on the flapjacks - I like them for a change too. Really sounds like you're getting your head around getting back into LT. I know you'll be fine. It's great you're sorting out other bits of your life too. You need to start believe in yourself! You are worth all the effort...
  249. dunlop73

    1st weighing!!!

Amazing - over a stone in a week!! Hope that spurs you on to stick with this fantastic diet. Jon
  250. dunlop73

    the weekend :(

You're right - the first few weekends are tough, but keep busy and you'll be OK. I think the trick is to get into the mindset where eating is simply not an option. Like flying to the moon, it is a nice idea but not on the cards, and a waste of energy wishing for. If you want to lose the weight...
