100% on plan but gained :(

Hi sarah88, thanks for replying! It does make sense, but I had hoped to lose some in the week before my meal out so even if I gained a bit before wi, it wouldn't mean a gain overall! I'm hoping that this week will be different, it just feels like I've lost some momentum now and I'm scared I'll...

100% on plan but gained :(

I know exactly how you feel. I had a gain this week too (I'm in week 5 now). I stuck like glue to my dailies and saved my weeklies to go out for dinner on Friday. I haven't been exercising this week apart from walking to work and back. My weigh in day is Saturday but I had a sneak peek on Friday...

    Help please

Hi Alison, I can't go to a group either and I'm doing it all online. I come onto this forum most days and I'm finding it so helpful. I almost fell off the wagon on sunday but I logged in here and read lots of posts, and it put me back on track. Everyone blows it at some point (or at a lot of...

    Low Carb Breakfast

Maybe you could have scrambled or poached eggs with one slice of toast for a couple of days then replace the bread with lean bacon? Phasing the bread out may be easier than going cold turkey. Otherwise I'd recommend porridge with fruit, it fills me up much more than I would expect.

Belvita biscuits - worth the pro points?

Thanks everyone, had some of the honey nut ones today and they were very tasty! I'm not sure I'd have them everyday but they are good for when you have to eat on the run. They are very moreish though so I couldn't just eat two!

    Snacking ideas

Mini Caramel snack a jacks are 3pp per pack and quite filling I would also recommend low fat hummus with carrots or peppers, its more filling than you think

    Motivation needed!!

Generally when I give in to naughtiness I feel bad afterwards, so I try and focus on the fact that I'll feel better about myself if I stick to the plan. It's not 100% foolproof, but it does help me to stay on track! Also I was very overweight and uncomfortable last summer, and I don't want to...

    10 things about losing weight

Thanks for this susana78, it's really interesting, especially the dairy thing. I haven't had much dairy lately (just some cheese here and there) and have been steering clear of milk since i had too much on sw. Maybe I should try and include a bit of milk again. Does semi skimmed count or should...

    Not eating in the evening?

If i had to stop eating at 6pm i think i would have to go to bed at 7! I usually eat dinner between 8 and 9pm and have something sweet before 10. I agree with lisa2, you're eating the same amount through the day so i don't think it would make too much difference.

Belvita biscuits - worth the pro points?

Hi everyone I'm looking for breakfast ideas and thought about Belvita biscuits. Are they worth spending the pro points (6pp for 4 biscuits)? I've been having fruit through the week and porridge at weekends, but looking for something other than fruit that's easy to take to work. Thanks!

    Weight Watchers from home?

Hi sarah.w. I'm doing it all online from home since new year as I work away from home during the week. It's been going well but I think it would be nice to be able to go to a class! I spend a lot of time on minimins looking for recipes and reading about other people's experiences and it...

    Anyone with similar experience?

Hi JaxieD. I did SW for a few years and did really well on it to start with. When i got to my lowest weight (after about 3 years of going up and down) i was weighing pasta and potatoes and exercising a couple of hours a day. Then the weight started to creep back on when i stopped weighing the...

    Lunch Ideas

Today I took 3 ryvita crispbreads to work, half a tin of tuna with a philadelphia mini tub mixed in and some cucumber. It was really filling and I calculated it as 7pp. The crispbreads are really good, you can have loads of different toppings for them :)

    Weighing in between weigh ins

I used to weigh a few times a day, it got to be a bit of an obsession! At the moment I'm away from home a few days every week and don't have scales which helps, and I'm trying to stick just to wi day. It's hard though, especially when you feel like you've been really good. But I actually...

    Struggling!

Hi Gemma1986. I do ww online so weigh in on a Saturday and am finding it really good. I've always weighed in on a Monday before but now I can use a few weeklies on Saturday night and not feel like I'm about to run out.

    Trying WW, couple of queries

Hi Jaylou. I've swapped from SW too after about 4 years. I found it really weird weighing meat, potatoes and pasta and found it really hard to get my head around. But now I'm 3 weeks in and feel a lot better for it! I think there's more flexibility for naughty things too. Good luck!

    Few Take Away PP

How different are restaurant and take away portions? OH has his heart set on a curry tonight so I think I'll go for a prawn biryani (29pp), but I think this pp value is restaurant. How much would a take away portion be? I probably would only eat 2/3 of the portion anyway.

How do yoo use your syns?

i use mine on chocolate most of the time, or a creamy yoghurt if i've already used too many but still need a little something. skinny cow ice lollies are good, and you can have two in a row if you have enough syns! also alcohol or a take-away, or sometimes things like olives in my salad. not all...

is it ok to eat this

when you're eating out sauces can be lethal for syns. it's best to go for a tomato sauce without cream or cheese in it if you can. it does sound delicious though!

What do you find speeds up your weight loss

i used to have semi-skimmed milk every day as a HEa, and as soon as i cut back my weight loss was better. i also keep away from bread most of the time. i find having dried fruit like apricots or prunes as a HEb helps!

    Syns

i often carry over syns from one day to the next, and if i know i'm going out at the weekend, i hold some back during the week to give me some wiggle room. but a few times i tried saving all my syns all week so i could have a proper blowout at the weekend, and i just ended up gaining anyway. i...

    Hitting the scales

i weigh every day, but i'm not sure it helps. i tend to find i'm really happy for the first three days after w.i, but then it seems to go downhill as things slow down later in the week. i'd love to be able to walk past them but they're right next to the loo!

    Eating Late at Night

I rarely eat my tea before 8pm and it doesn't seem to make much difference. I also tend to save my syns all day and have them last thing at night in the form of chocolate or ice cream, gives me something to look forward to!

    Quark

Hi Sue Most people in my group hate Quark, but once you get used to it it's fine. You can add a HEx portion of stilton to it and leave it overnight which makes a nice dip. I've found it good for mixing with things like diced chicken to make a jacket potato filling on EE. I also have it plain on...

Should I have a holiday week???

I took a week off last week, but weighed in on Monday only to find that things were worse than I thought! As deflating as it can be, it's definitely worth going. You'll get your motivation back sooner and you'll stop yourself doing any more damage.
