    Fat Free Sponge Cake

I have a bamix blender which can whisk skimmed milk into the consistency of whipped cream, it's great I use it all the time. If you add a bit of sweetener it goes even thicker and tastes a bit like dream topping. Banix blenders are expensive though - around £100

    Red Days a bread question

I also have to cut out bread if I want to lose. I used to eat it every day, now only once a week (bacon sandwich on Sunday). I do red days and I usually take Ryvita and E/L Laughing cow to have at lunchtime with some tomatoes and cold meat. I really missed the bread at first, but have got...

    Pattern starting to show

Hi Pammyd, I have been following sw for the last 6 months, and have noticed a similar pattern, even though I do pretty much the same thing each week. I usually have one big loss (4-5lb, 2 weeks where I lose 1lb and 1 week I STS.

    is swimming gonna help???

I go swimming 4 times a week when I can manage it, and swim approx 1km each time I go. I wouldn't say it has helped my losses as such (I still lose on the weeks I don't go), but it has definately helped with toning. I have lost 7 stone in the last 6 months, and don't have any loose skin - I...

Are the sweet onion ryvita a B choice? I couldn't find them on the SW website? I got mine from Tesco last week, but haven't tried them yet.

    flexi syns, or weekly syns?

It doesn't work for everyone but I always use my syns weekly, have hardly any syns all week, then save them all for alcohol at the weekend. I have always managed to lose doing this, but I know some people can't get away with this. You could try it for one week and see if you still lose.

    How does it work calorie-wise?

I agree with Vixster, SW to say to eat until you are satisfied but not full. When I first started SW, I used to eat a huge amount of free food and lost weight really quickly. After a while your appetite will decrease, and you will naturally eat less.

Hi Soccermom, If the other class is computerised, you should be OK, as they will just read your card which shows you have a countdown. Might be worth ringing the consultant for that group and asking, if you don't want to bother yours. (Then again, that is what she is paid for, and I'm sure...

    Extra Easy Slimming Eats

I agree with BrightonRosie, I think your recipes are usually a lot better than the SW ones! If I fancy a recipe from the SW website, I always look at your site to see your version - it usually comes in at much lower syns/syn free. You should write your own cookbook, you would make a fortune!

    Best day for weight loss??

    Weight going up!

I did slimming world a couple of years ago, and stuck to green days. I didn't lose much either (2lb in 4 months), however this time I have stuck to red days, and have lost weight a lot quicker this time. I have just come to the conclusion that green days don't work for me. You could try a...

    I am so mad :(

Thanks for the support Ninja and Cobweb - much appreciated. I think I might show him your post cobweb, might make him think! I took your advise last night Ninja, and made a fish pie (which he loves), I made so many "yummy" noises that eventually he tried it, and ending up eating 2 helpings!

Dave's diary - back on plan, back on Minimins

Hi Dave, Well done on the weight loss !:D I have also lost 6lb this week, making 2.5 stone total in 9 weeks - I am also amazed at how much weight you can lose on this diet! Like you, I am also exercising (I swam 4 miles this week - very slowly though.....) I think I might invest in a...

Where did you notice it first?

I have lost 2st and have noticed my feet look smaller too - I didn't think your feet could shrink! I have not lost any off my boobs yet either, I am naturally blessed in that department too. Hope it comes off soon though, I am already 2 sizes smaller on the bottom than on the top!

    Pizza

I tried the potato base, and it is OK, but next time I think I will have pizza on a red day and use a butterflied chicken breast as the base.

    I am so mad :(

Ninja, He's still wearing the same jeans, just does them up UNDER his stomach. He was telling me yesterday how loose they were...:D I usually do the shopping, I buy him the healthy option ready meals, but then he usually adds tons of cheese and fried chips! He will then go to the local...

    red day help

I do red days during the week, and I often take to work a whole pack of lean ham and some laughing cow triangles. I spread the cheese on to the ham and roll it up - yum! You could also have slimming world scotch eggs (I did prefer them hot though)

    christmas loss

This sounds very acheivable, it is less than 2lb per week. I have also given myself a target of 1.5st before christmas (however, I am going on holiday for a week all inclusive before then, so will have to limit the booze!)

    Seriously - Quark???

I thought I hated Quark too, I had only ever used it as a savoury food. However, yesterday I mixed it with loads of sweetener and orange zest and used it as a cake topping - was much nicer
