    Gammon Joint

Just bung it in a pan, pour your coke over it ( I always add a couple of bay leaves and some peppercorns but you don't have to) and bring to the boil then simmer gently with lid on until cooked. How long it takes depends on the size but a small bit won't take longer than an hour. Even better if...

    Mushroom & lentil loaf

Mmmmm! I made this this afternoon and it's really, really yummy. I used 84g of reduced fat cheese though so it only has 2 hexa's. I also didn't use the marmite but crumbled 2 beef stock cubes into the onions and mushrooms whilst they were frying instead.

Alternatives to scan bran when having porridge as HEX B

I actually break my scan bran up and cook it in the porridge. That way you hardly notice it's there and I don't think you can taste it.

    Lasagne Topping Help

Personally I wouldn't use quark. I did try it once and it went lumpy and cottage cheesey looking when cooked. Tasted ok but looks wise wasn't too great! Natural yoghurt or fromage frais would work better.

    Lasagne Topping Help

I use fat free natural yoghurt, seasoned well then covered with grated cheese before going in the oven. Aldi sell great big pots for 49p and it's just enough to cover a large lasagne.

Leftover rice - what can i do?

I often use some leftover rice with my hexa milk and some sweetener to make a rice pud. Just stick it all in an oven proof dish and put in the oven on low until hot and a skin has formed. Serve with a splodge of synned jam!

    Alternative???

Erm yeah!!!! Lol Ryvita is so much nicer than scanbran! Get some and you'll see what I mean. It's so tough it hurts your front teeth when you bite it and chewing it is just like chewing through a thick piece of chipboard!

    Slow Cooker Recommendations

I've got a Morphy Richards one and love it. Nothing really sticks in them anyway like it would in a pan i the oven, so wouldn't be worried about non stick.
