    I would be alright if it wasn't for the weekend

    I find the weekends hard or any time om off from work. When Im at work i can only eat the food i bring so can pick throughout the day. The odd weekend drink and meal out doesn't help!!

    Coping with trips away

    Im off for a weeks beach holiday week after next. Planning to have the week pretty much off the diet, but lots of walking and swimming and avoid the normal holiday fry ups. Hoping dont put on too much weight but even if i do its one week a year!!! Gonna make the most of it.

    Thanks for your comments. I have gone for healthier snacks - cereal, crackers with cheese spread, weightwatchers bread - just lots more than normal. Find it so much harder when i'm at home all day - during the working day i have no time to eat much and so dont miss it!! Off to the gym followed...

    jogging on treadmill

    I managed to jog on treadmill for 8 1/2 minutes yday - albeit at a very slow pace. Followed that with another 7 minutes brisk walk on treadmill, 10 mins on cross trainer, 10 mins on bike and 8 on rowing machine!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!

    I like the angela griffins dance workout -sure it was less than a fiver on play or hmv.com. Broken up into 10 minute chunks and is good if you like dance type dvds without being complicated.

    i agree with starlight. I am guilty of going on the scales every other day so i understand the temptation. If i were you i'd leave it a couple of days and check again. Make sure you weigh at same time every day as your food/water intake will affect weight.

    Glad its not just me. It's so annoying though - can't help feeling it defeats the purpose if I end up eating more!! Ra. Though am enjoying the exercise so am determined to stick with it. Hope it will get better once i get used to the exercise.

    I use my wii fit to measure, on carpet. I figure as long as it is in the same place it will tell me how much i have lost/gained. also once i have got wii on to weigh it motivates me to play a few active games on it too.
