I started 14th January and have lost 37lbs.. not much further for me to go as I am a size 10 now. I find it brings me UP emotionally when i can get into smaller and smaller sizes! But I don't suffer.. I have a good varied eating plan and still have treats - booze, chinese, chocolate and...

chinese meals from chippy - points wise?

I think the eating out guide is pretty good.. they might be wrong give or take a couple of points but I wouldn't worry about it... I've never had any problems following the points they allocate for things.
  22. E

chinese meals from chippy - points wise?

Nope that's about right, prawn chowmein is about 3.5, king prawn chow mein 5, chicken and char sui about 7.5, beef chowmein about 8. I think special chowmein is 7.5/8. if i am being a big pig i get a portion of mixed veg too as a side.. I don't know how many points that is but I always put it...
  23. E

What's the one tip you would give..

Don't think about a long term goal too much or you'll stress yourself. Work on one day at a time.. "Today I will stick to my points and be good".. Also there's nothing you can do that can't be undone..

    How much in how long?!!

Going it alone without a class?? and a few questions!

If you're not going to a class (as I am doing it) I think you must do two things: 1. make sure you make your own tracker and always fill it in 2. Get someone independent to weigh you and weigh you once a week only (I get a guy from work to weigh me)

When i first did ww which was 10 years ago I had a eatng out guide that listed lamb balti as 7.5 points (I think rice was 6).. every saturday without fail I would have lamb balti and rice.. I still lost weight though (I think I averaged about 3lbs a week) - now lamb balti is listed as about 20!

    Black Pudding

I am a little confused about the points value for black pudding.. in a shopping guide I have it says it's 4 points for 62g yet on a pack of black pudding I bought when I work it out from nutrition information on there it works out at 2.5points for 100g (even if I count all the fat rather than...

Lots of salady things and low fat dressings (I make epic salads with EVERYTHING in them - mixed leaves, spinach, grated carrot, radish, tomatoes, cucumber, celery, spring onions), WW naan breads or pittas, wafer thin ham, that Tesco value chicken tikka stuff is only about 2points for the whole pack,

    BINGEDDDD !!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing to remember is even if you have a really bad day or week.. is not to let it slide.. no matter what: write down your points.. even if it's like 60 or 100.. because if you stop writing things down you'll really lose track and heart. Tracking what you eat/drink is absolutely vital in...

When does a WW day end and begin?

Just makes sure you allow yourself your points allowance in a 24 hour period so you can keep track of it. Doesn't matter when the 24 hours period runs from. Everyone is different. I always like to minimise my points usage during the day (and I am not a breakfast person really).. so I have...

have any of you gone into the dangerously obsessive realm of ww?

I do some upper body toning exercises every night with weights and for my lower body - 35 squats and some other exercises i have been given. I also walk a fair bit each day (to and from work which hopefully will help my legs). However they just feel huge and vile and wobbly at the moment...

I have gone into the obsessive zone.. DOES IT WORK !!!!!

It does indeed and you can eat anything as long as it is within your allowance.. I think the best part about weightwatchers is it teaches you how to optimise your eating.. so you just think.. why have a chocolate bar when you can have curry and rice and skinny cow dessert? you can save points...
