TMI alert, Milk of Magnesia mishap for giggles

This is definately TMI but I had to share for the comedy value my sister got from this, she said post it! Just had a lovely weekend visiting my parents with DD and DH, My mum is a fab cook but for some reason since my birth I'm so sensitive to some foods, I get awful reflux and indigestion...

    Tummy Bug??

Thanks Girls, I'm sure its the same bug everyone else I know has had, its just a bit on the eeek side as peggy said. Awful when you feel you have little control over whats happening! Especially when its in the toilet department!..LoL I'll be ok, its just a bit embarrasing when it happens!

    I'm struggling but I ain't quitting

Sounds like "the bug" Gafia... do you still have the runs today?, it lasts about 3 to 6 days by account! :sigh: Like mild tummy cramps and urgent (read VERY) sudden rushes?
  15. Sally Morrison

    I'm struggling but I ain't quitting

I think you must have had this tummy bug then, the fact that you have Gastritis probably masked it, also that you have had it for a few days seems likely too. I had it a couple of weeks ago and had the runs on and off for about a week but worst the first 4 days, didn't dare go far!!!! LoL

    Lactulose

Being prepared helps, as does having some experiences, glad you got sorted anyhow! Always best to catch these things before they become a problem! :-) What dose did you try as a matter of interest?? Sal xxx
  22. Sally Morrison

    Lactulose

Hi Nicci, Yes Lactulose is fine, nothing is absorbed so it can't havve any effect on Ketosis. It can take a few days to have an effect or if like me you want to get back on track, take 3 or 4 tablespoons and the it will give a result in 3 or 4 hours. After that you can have a maintenance dose...

    Constipation

Dulcoease may work for you but its certainly not a quick fix, they can take a couple of days. I agree with Pheonix, Dulcolax Pico Perles, any large Tesco Pharmacy has them on the shelf or over the counter. Small bottle, tiny gel capsules and yes the dose of 4 works perfectly if you have...

    Embarrassing question

Hi Lucysmommy, Prune Juice definately works, best taken with some milk of magnesia, two or three tablespoons and a half pint of juice, will deliver some relief in an hour or two. If that fails which is unlikely, try Dulcolax Pico Perles, they are magic! Sal

    Delicate topic - bodily functions

Girls, "Dulcolax Perles", not the normal nightmare cramps Dulcolax, the Perles have Sodium Picosulfate which works more as an osmotic laxative, draws water into the intestine so kind of liquifies, gives a good healthy "urge" too. They are brill! Don't take them during the day though, you might...

  77. Sally Morrison

    Toilet, cough, stuff

If you have the "hard" type issues (TMI) try the full dose of 4 capsules to loosen so to speak. They will have a bit of a liquifying effect so be near a loo about 5 or 6 hours after taking them or you could regret it! Been there! :argh:
