    Halfway there...

Not been very angelic at all this past week and certainly haven't been keeping a food diary. Just been picking at food and not eating proper meals, which I know isn't clever! Especially when you start picking at the Haribo. Still managed to lose 1.4lbs this week though (no idea how) and am...

    Halfway there...

Oh dear. Well I managed to stick to my plan above except I had a steak stir fry instead for dinner and no celery snack, but yesterday the old hormones got the better of me and I had a Krispy Kreme donut. :break_diet: Cold winter nights + PMS = epic carb cravings. I did start off well, had...

    Halfway there...

I intend to Kuromi! :) Sometimes I think people genuinely think they're being nice by saying those things. I find it's mostly people who are slimmer than me that say it though. My friends that struggle with their weight too have been so supportive and been like little cheerleaders even when...

    Halfway there...

Only had a little slip up today - had a small biscuit at work, I hate being the girl that turns down things like that at work - nobody really likes that girl! Mondays and Saturdays are the days where I end up on a team break and there are always baked goodies and biscuits or chocolate passed...

A little bit more weight gone

Well done, Liz! That's amazing work! It always feels good when somebody notices that you've lost weight,. Sometimes people that see you all the time don't really notice, because they've seen you as you're shrinking and others notice but don't want to say anything in case they offend you. I hope...

    Halfway there...

I'm about half way to my final goal of 11st and have another 32lbs to go. It's about this point I usually get a bit wayward so I thought I would start a little diary for myself but feel free to chime in! I set myself the challenge of fitting back into the dress I wore for my uni grad ball four...

A diary of a girl heading for a new life!

Keep at it my lovely! I weighed exactly the same as you at your age. I lost a stone calorie counting and managed to keep it off until I got to Uni, where I managed to lose a further 2 st (being skint and walking everywhere does wonders for the waistline haha) but I put it all back on when I...

November challenge - what do you want to achieve?

Hi! Would love to join you all in this - it's a bit quiet over on the low carb forum! My goal weight date is actually at the end of this month - I'm off to a wedding which will be pretty much a reunion of all my friends from uni, so I wanted to make sure I was at least as slim as I was the last...

    Staying the same

The other thing to look at, would be if you're including enough fat in your diet and not overeating protein. Your body will end up converting excess protein into glucose stores and then using that, which means you're not going to be burning fat.
  12. rosie kate

    Staying the same

Hi Emmy, I've had a similar problem. I'm not sure why as I've kept my carbs low and according to stix, I'm still in ketosis. Happened first in September, I got stuck at 14st for two weeks, I went off plan for a holiday (to Italy of all places! Pasta and Pizza galore!) and went back to low carb...

Low carb snacks (recipes and ready bought) from the UK that are CHEAP...

Just checked the nutritional info on the peperami: 0.6g of Carbs per stick, 6.1g of Protein, 11g of Fat. I like them for the same reason as the bacon strips - quite salty so a little goes a long way and they make you chew a while, so you feel like you've done a load of eating! :) Well done on...

Low carb snacks (recipes and ready bought) from the UK that are CHEAP...

Hi Red! The things I tend to go for are pepperami sticks, I can't remember off hand but sure they're less than a gram of carbs per stick. I also have the old faithful of celery and peanut butter - I'm not a massive fan of celery but actually enjoy this - lots of good fats as well as protein and...

    Day 3 blues ??

Well done for getting through it! On the days I struggle (and mostly it is now from being a bit bored of the packs!) I tell myself to just finish today on plan and if I still want to pack it in, I can do so tomorrow. Invariably I feel better the following day but even if i don't I tell myself...

    fanta zero

The ingredients read the same as coke zero as far as I saw, I had a couple of glasses at a BBQ I went to on Saturday and it didn't kick me out of ketosis - still rockin that lovely fragrant keto breath ;) (although I don't use ketostix so can't be 100% sure)
  19. rosie kate

    fanta zero

Has anybody seen the new cherry coke zero that's out now? No citric in that just like normal coke zero so I'm assuming it's good to go. Plus it's lush! Might have to have a look at sprite and fanta zero, I'd ruled them out without looking based on flavour (just assumed they must have citric...

    Hi I'm a newbie!

I think some people underestimate the amount of thought and pro/con weighing that anybody deciding to do a VLCD have to really do and also the real need to step back from conventional food - it's not exactly something you can do half arsed. The only person I've told is my best friend and I...

I agree with Yam, Miss D. Bouiliion

I remember when I did atkins a few years back, I used to drink stuff like that. I am definitely stepping away from the burritos! (It was very nice but not worth the 4lb gain!) Cheers, Miss D. I'm not throwing in the towel just yet! I'm a stubborn thing. There is bugger all room for complacency on this diet. It's time to get back on the straight and narrow. Last week I had two meals out - I made good healthy, low carb choices and still enjoyed a 4.4lb loss at WI. This week I got a little bit complacent. Went out with my sister for our old...
