Janey, Olanzapine is one of the worst culprits ( along with clozapine ) for inducing weight gain, increasing hunger and feeling sedated. There is a knew medication , aripiprazole, that reports no weight gain and no sedation - check with your Dr, they might be able to advise.

I have been a regular reader of all posts during this my first week on ss and they have helped a lot - some great hints and tips - it has been hard and the dog breath is a nightmare but the 16.5 lbs that has evaporated sort of makes up for it .:eek:
