jst had the best shake !!

I'm a bit of a gadget freak and I must admit that I could not have done this diet without my Bamix hand blender. It's coming in very handy for the skimmed milk later in the diet (the bamix can turn a small amount of skimmed milk into a creamy substance which with a couple of sweeteners and a...

Winter Orange Spice & Leek and Potato flavours

I believe the Orange Winter spice was a very limited edition for the christmas season. Its a shame as I actually quite liked it. The leek and potato I thought was horrid, mind you i've hated all the soups i've tried and now stick to only shakes, tetras and bars

New Before and After Pics - Was I really that big ??

I was looking back through some of my pictures today and I was horrified to find a pic of me before I started the diet. I posted it as I know a lot of people are just starting out, here's what 5 months of will power can do..... (honestly it is the same person !!!!) oh and I finally bought the...

    Water and loss ?

Absolutely ! I've noticed that since I have upped my intake to at least 6 litres a day my losses have been considerably better. The way I overcame the obstacle of the amount was drinking from a 1.5l bottle instead of a 1l bottle. I try to drink 1 bottle with each pack and this seems to work.

5 Months in.....before and after pics

Before : After : (well about a month ago, lost more since then) I know there will be a lot of people out there who are just starting and unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Believe me, this diet works and it is a life changer. I'm now 1 stone away from my target and...

does the bad breathe ease over time ??

sorry to say that the "death breath" will continue as long as you are on the diet. I don't find drinking more water helps (I drink at least 6 litres a day and still have stinking breath). Best tips are to brush your teeth more, use mouthwash & carry a breath spray

    GREEN TEA

I personally prefer drinking green tea. I have a friend who is a professor at a well know UK university who has done a great deal of research into drinking green tea as an aid to health. His findings have shown that Typhoo Green Tea blend is the most beneficial to health of any tea currently...

    How long on SS

Busybee - Personally I would do the AAM week, I had a lot more weight to lose than you do and I still did the AAM week. I believe it helped kick my metabolism back into gear after 4 weeks of SS'ing. I've now done 2 AAM weeks, I just try to keep the portions boring so i'm not really tempted to go...

    Embarrassing evening last night....

yeah after my initial embarrasment I felt excellent about it. It certainly helped me to avoid picking at the massive amounts of party food which was laid in front of me

    Embarrassing evening last night....

I was at a halloween party last night (went as captain jack sparrow) and I saw a lot of people who i've not seen a lot since I started the diet. I'm surprised my head could fit through the door when we left the party this morning, compliment after compliment and getting chatted up left, right...

    cant drink so much water!

The more water you consume the more weight you will lose on a weekly basis typically. I drink 6-7 litres of water a day and maintain a constant loss. I adhere to the mantra "the more you drink, the more you shrink". Remember 2 litres is the absolute bare minimum you should be drinking. Have you...

    Question about shakes...

a good tip for the shaker above : if you are making a hot shake/soup make sure that you "swirl" the powder with some cold water first then add your boiling water. Then you shake it for about 5 seconds(not too vigourously) open the cap to release some of the steam. Repeat that a couple of times...

    Question about shakes...

another handy idea if you're needing a shake made up "on the go" - Boots the Chemsit sell a protein shaker maker for about £3 - usually Maximuscle brand, it's got a wee mesh that breaks up any lumps. It's pretty good for doing the soups in a hurry. Heres a pic to let you know what you're looking...

Day 1 in the Cambridge House

to re-iterate the previous posts, the first few days can be pretty difficult but after day 3/4 you stop feeling hungry. You will also likely feel a great sense of wellbeing - just keep drinking that water and you will have a great sense of acheivement at your weigh in.

    Think of a flavour...any flavour....

I definately repeat the suggestion of french onion soup - that would be my ideal soup. Apple water flavouring would be nice for a change. Coconut bars would be superb. In terms of shakes I think Cookies n Cream, Choc-Orange, Coconut & Mango would be excellent.

Can I use a smoothie maker to blend my shakes?

yeah the shakes and soups are both fine to put in a smoothie maker. I use the kenwood smoothie maker for all my cold shakes. Get a pint glass with about 6-7 ice cubes then fill it with cold water, stick it in the smoothie maker with your pack and blend away for a perfect shake.

    First Meeting last night.....

you've defintely made the right choice ! The first week can be a nightmare but if you stick to your guns you'll never look back. I've been on the diet for 2 weeks and i'm never hungry and feel great.

    two questions

never paid to see my CDC, just for the products. In regards to chewing gum, I think the official line is to avoid it as the saliva going into your stomach can cause hunger. If it's just for the "death breath" then you can use the breath freshener strips or a breath spray.
