Thanks Guys - pure protein it is then. I didn't need any extra today though as I didn't push as hard. I booked our holiday today, we're going to Turkey in four weeks time so I'm on a mission to get as much off as I can before then. First week weigh in tomorrow morning. I'm slightly...
Thanks for all the advice. I guess everyone is different. I will see how I feel after the gym tomorrow but definitely back to no more than 1 bar a day.

Hi
I went back to the gym today after a week off (I did the Moonwalk 26.2 miles last weekend). I hardly did anything compared to what I usually do because I started Exante on Tuesday. Anyway I've been so hungry I've just had an extra bar - I'm hoping this doesn't kick me out of ketosis but I...
It's my first day today. Feeling good so far although I found the porridge too watery so I will use less than the 200ml of water next time. I lost 5 stone on LL in 2010 and have put 3 back on so have got 3 stones to lose.
Wish me luck!
I would like to be a size 12 . I'm usually a 12 when I weigh 11.12 (I usually do lots of exercise and hold muscle so that's a good weight for me). I have a wardrobe of 12s that I just want to be able to wear again.
Thank you both - I've just had a coffee with soya milk (I'm on SS+) and more water - feeling a bit better now. After Saturday I'll be weighing weekly so I think that will help as well :-)
I'm on day 15 and today I am so very very hungry :-( I haven't been weighed since day 7 as my counsellor can't see me until Saturday so I don't even have a fab weight loss to spur me on (I feel like I've lost weight and have been 100%). I feel really irritable today as well and can't wait for...
Hi all can I join the Thursday weigh ins- I joined on 29th December - I had to or I would have put on another 7lbs! As it was my start weight was 14.11.5! First weigh in last Thursday and lost 4.5 lbs so now 14.7 - it's a start. My goal is to stick with WW and go to meetings (and stay for the...
Hi
STS the same this week, and last week - thinking of going onto conso and accepting this as my weight :-( of course I would like to get to my Dukan weight which means I still need to lose 8lbs but at this rate it will take forever!
Hi
I have problems with wheat but needed something to help with transit issues. I found soya bran in Holland & Barrett, checked the nutrition and it has less carbs and fat per 100g than wheat bran but more fibre. I've used it twice in Dukan bread (and it was great!) but wanted to make sure it...
Hi
I have fish a lot for breakfast - and lunch - and dinner! Mainly salmon, poached, roasted, grilled, baked, tinned - you name it I have it! Also smoked mackerel mixed with quark makes a fantastic pate.
Good luck
Yesterday : PP

Hi
I don't know what happened last night but had a blip  Husband was drinking cider and had a huge bowl of salted peanuts while I drank water and had nothing. I resisted for a while and then that bloody "poor me, I deserve something as well" voice" kicked in. I didn't give in for sooooooo...
Nothing off this week for me - STS  Haven't been doing any exercise as overdid it with broken toe and have set my recovery back. I'm sticking to cruise though 1PP/1PV so am hoping that weight will shift eventually and once I start exercising again that will help. Demoralising though, I...
Good morning - today PP
B: oatbran porridge then turkey rashers
S: 0% greek yoghurt
L: smoked mackerel
D: 5% minced beef and egg
S: meringues and quark (with vanilla flavouring)
Craving chocolate for the past 4 days but have resisted!
Hi
I had that when I was on LIghterlife. I never did get to the bottom of it but I knew it was something that was in the packs as it stopped when I came off it. I occasionally still have episodes - usually when I've had too much dairy - milk in particular.
Sorry only just read this so you've probably left but m&s venison burgers are ok for cruise - the lovely Dukan experts on here checked nutrition for me :-)
Hi all
I've had an underactive thyroid since 1990 (originally had overactive and had part of it removed, unfortunately too much!). Whilst I recognise that everyone is different, I've never had a problem losing weight, I've found it challenging keeping it off sometimes but have always managed...
Good morning all
Today's menu: PP
B: Salmon with scrambled egg
S: 3 dukan muffins
L: not sure at a conference all day - whatever protein I can get!
D: Coriander chicken breasts
s: Toffee muller with last 3 dukan muffins
Lost 2lbs this week - I'm really pleased as I started Dukan straight after Lighter Life Total w(with no break in between) so wasn't expecting to lose anything! Did 3 days attack and have been on cruise since Friday.
Good morning all
Today's menu: PV
B: Chicken frittata, turkey bacon, grilled field mushrooms & fresh tomatoes

Today's menu: PP

S: 1/2 galette with muller light.
Sorry - I don't know the rhubarb answer but would be interested to know!
Hi
There is a Dukan thread on here - very informative. I've lost 3lbs in 3 days on the first phase of the diet. I must say this surprised me as I went straight on it after LLT with no break and I've eaten loads!
Good luck on your journey!
I lost 3lbs in 3 days of attack -:-) very pleased, especially as I went straight into attack from Lighter Life Total (had to come off for health reasons).
Hi
It's my first day of cruise tomorrow after 3 days of attack. Can one of you experienced dukaners have a look at my planned menu and let me know if it's ok?
Many thanks in advance!
B: Turkey rashers & scambled egg (1 whole egg, 1 egg white) with big field mushroom (grilled) and...
I have severe IBS and whether it will affect her will depend on what her triggers are. I would show her the book so that she can see the allowed food and make an informed decision. I just avoid my known triggers.
Hope that helps
Good morning all
Today's menu - attack
B: Chicken Frittata with 1/2 galette
S: 1/2 galette vanilla muller light
L: Roasted salmon
D: Cod fillets with quark dressing
S: Frozen toffee muller light
Can I have sugar free jelly on attack?
I made the meringues using small blobs! Whist they weren't as dense as normal meringues they were very nice. What I like about this diet is that I'm experimenting in the kitchen again
Hi
After messing up yesterday with the venison burgers I'd be grateful if one of you experienced dukan dieters would have a look at today's menu (I've also posted it on daily menus thread - not sure the best place to post yet!)
Many thanks in advance
B: roasted salmon flakes
S: 1/2 cinnamon...
Thanks - had my first day of Dukan today - pure protein so hopefully I'll stay in ketosis - the scales will tell!
I'll still pop over to this forum from time to time x :-)
Oh dear - I've just come on here after I've eaten the burgers -I should have checked here first!! I hope I haven't done too much damage :-( I'll freeze the rest and hope I still lose weight over the next two days on attack. I could kick myself :-(
Hi
Yes I'll eat some extra chicken or the rest of the poached salmon at lunchtime.
Checked the ingredients on the venison burgers - venison 91%, red onion 5%, water, sea salt, cracked black pepper, ground cayenne pepper - is this ok?
Hi
I bought the venison burgers in M & S
Ingredients: venison (91%), red onions (5%), water, sea salt, cracked black pepper, ground cayenne pepper.
I've had them before, they're delicious, the key thing is not to overcook them or they are really dry.
Hi
I'm starting attack tomorrow I'd be grateful if one of you experienced Dukan dieters would have a look over my menu
B: scrambled egg (1 whole egg and 1 egg white) and poached salmon flakes
S: Galette with 0% fat yoghurt & Splenda
L: Chicken breast (with quark & chive dressing)

Hi all
Since being back on LLT (21 days) I have had constant diarrhoea every day it started after day 3. I didn't have this when I did total last year. It's been so bad that I've been scared to leave the house a couple of times. Had a chat with the nurse at my Gp surgery and she's advised...
Thank you - these are the stats for unsweetened soya which is what I usually have
100 ml
Energy 28 kcal
Protein 2.9g
carbohydrates 0.2g
Fat 1.7g
Sugar 0.1g
Is this ok to have?
Thanks
Hi
I hope you can help. I understand that the minimum exercise is 20 mins walking a day. However, I've broken my toe (on Wednesday) and can't walk for that length of time yet. I can cycle on an exercise bike. Can I cycle for 20 mins a day until my toe is able to withstand me walking?
I'm...
Yes I'll definitely be joining you - just need to make the switch over. I'm going to start on Tuesday morning.
I'll check all the recipe threads from now on and make a note of those that I can have on attack - especially oatbran recipes. I'm sure I'll have loads of questions though!
Thanks...
Hi
Yes - I walk for 40 minutes a day (to and from train station but I put on my trainers and power walk it). I was also going to Zumba and aerobics but have stopped at the moment due to injury.
I lost all my weight last year and was maintaining really well but threat of redundancy and being...
Hi all
I hope you can help. I'm thinking of switching from LL (total) to Dukan. I've had enough of not eating solids and want to do a plan that I can stick to and then maintain for life (not planning on only doing attack, I want to do all four phases). I've bought the book and the oatbran...
I know that feeling - think about how good you will feel at next weigh in. Have a lovely bath. Can you have a drink mix?
I promise you it will pass - stay strong xxxx
I had truly forgotten how awful the first few days are - on day two and have had the most awful headache all afternoon and now feel hot and cold and shivery! I think it's called carb withdrawal flu! I know it will pass in a day or two and I'll feel better but horrible going through it. Going to...
Well it's my first day back on abstinence today and feeling very positive and planning my foodpack times - I don't want anyone in work know I'm doing this so will have my lunchtime pack out of the of the office - good thing it's nice weather!
Yx
Hi
I completed foundation last year and lost 5st, I managed to maintain until this March when I had loads of stress in my life.
I was given notice of redundancy from my job of 8 years. Fortunately I've now got another job but can't seem to stop eating (mainly when I get home from work) - I...
Hi all
Happy New Year to you. I re-started abstinence yesterday. I'd forgotten how awful the first few days are but like you the thought of going into ketosis is keeping me going. I'm hoping I can get back to goal weight in a month - I need to lose 12lbs to get there (most of which I've put...
Hi AJB - firstly well done for losing 2 stone you've done so very well. I had a similar thing with my sister and I'd lost 4 stone at the time - we went to a family party and no-one had seen me since I'd lost weight and everyone commented except my sister- not a single word - and she hasn't...
Hi
The first week is the worst after that you feel much much better and think of the fantastic weight loss you will get - much faster than a "conventional" diet.
Goood luck

Hi
I'm just starting week 2 of RTM. I know we are allowed 3 packs a day plus one meal (as outlined in blue book). Can one of the experienced maintainters/RTMers let me know if the limit is still one bar a day. My LL counsellor is on holiday so can't ask her.
Many thanks
Yx
Hey AJB stick with it. I was the only one in my group who didn't lapse - not even once - and I know how galling it is when the lapsers have bigger weight losses than you. Try to look at the big picture though - in the end it doesn't matter what they do, it's what you do that will change your...

Big hug to you xxx It was the people on here that kept me going when I was close to giving up and really low - and I made it through the other side and am now on route to management - I do hope you find the best way for you xxxx
A few more.....
1. The crazy mood swings especially the first few weeks
2. The enhanced sense of smell
3. The going to bed early when you've eaten all your packs and you're hungry!
4. The absolute devastation after spilling a shake!
Love the one about the lemon/lime - we had an engagement...
Hi
I did 14 weeks foundation and 4 weeks developers. I started RTM yesterday, for me not doing it wasn't an option, I've put all this effort into losing the weight and didn't want to sabotage myself at the last hurdle. Our counsellor says that those who don't do RTM are the ones who usually...
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all on the LL forum. I'm starting RTM on Monday and was just thinking about my journey. I found it so difficult at times - especially week 13 (24 June) when I was close to giving up - you really kept me going with your positive comments when I was close...
Hi AJB - haven't been on all week really busy at work - yes the dress fits perfectly now - I'm starting RTM on Monday when I will have finished 18 weeks on abstinence and be where I want to be). My husband is taking me to Louboutin in a couple of weeks to get the said new Louboutins (might see...
I've just finished foundation and I found the weeks where I exercised more I lost less weight and on the days I did hard exercise I was demented with hunger! All I do now is walk (gentle) and swim (gentle once a week). When I'm on management and taking in more calories I will up the exercise again.
AJB I love shoes - actually I adore shoes (my constant friend through fat and thin!) Go for it - Manolos are fab! Blimey iwillgetthere from a size 28 to a 14 that is amazing - you must be over the moon. Charliefarlie let me know how you get on with developers.
Hi I've just finished foundation and the way for me to get through was to avoid socialising - it was hard enough having to cook/watch the family eat and drink - I don't think I could have coped with going out and still staying abstinent. I decided to put my needs first while on this and figured...
Had my "after" picture taken on Wednesday only to be told by my counsellor that she's lost the memory card that had the "before" on! So maybe I'll never see the comparison. I also had my measurements done again though - lost 8.5 inches off bust 13 inches of my waist and 8.5 inches from hips...
Shoes shoes and more shoes, always was and I suppose it always will be. I love high heels although before starting this I'd stopped wearing them so much - felt like an elephant on pins! Getting back into them now and really enjoying wearing them (I have lots of pairs)
Get my "after" picture taken on Wednesday - it'll be interesting to see the difference - even though all my clothes are smaller - in my head I'm still the same size...I've got 4 weeks developers and then route to management.
Never in a million years did I ever think a Karen Millen size 14 would be too big on me. Yesterday, I tried on a size 14 fitted strapless dress and it was too baggy on top and really loose around the waist - I wanted to jump up and down in the fitting room!! :happy036: At the start of foundation...
Hi
I did some eating disorder counsellor training with National Centre for Eating Disorders - they have a help line and will be able to give you advice.
www.eating-disorders.org.uk
I hope you find the help and support you need

Thank you to all my lovely forum members for helping me see the bigger picture - just been weighed and have lost 3lbs (milk week) thank you so much once again - I'm not generally a forum poster so I really really appreciate it.
Yxx
Thank you Laraa and AJB - the best advice I can give you is take it one day at a time - sometimes I could only take it one hour at a time and would count the hours until bedtime - you've taken the first step so well done Yx
Hi Preeti
Well done for going back to finish the journey. I'm still considering what to do to mark the new me. Probably a tatooo - I want a permanent reminder
Yx
Thank you Sandrat, Flexible Fish, Lind and Peony for your support and wise words have made me feel much better - I've never been on a forum with such supportive people. Am refocused and looking forward to the end result - which I had lost sight of.
Yx
Hi
I need some support. I am on week 13 of LL total, I've been completely abstinent from day one (unlike everyone else in my group). I've worked out that to get to my target I will need to do another 5-6 weeks depending on weight loss. I just don't think I've got it in me. I'll definitely...
Hi
My favourite is banana, followed by strawberry then hot vanilla. Hate the chocolate - try it every now and again to see if I like it but I don't. Love the fudge nut bar though Yx
Thanks Isis - she's a really good friend and we've been friends for 30 years and I love her lots and it's a small thing I can do to help her through her tough times x
Hi
I have a close friend who is in the same position financially with only 4 weeks to go to reach her target (We started LL together). Thanks for the Exante tip - if she's agreeable I'll buy her a month's supply to get her to the end.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. x
I make vanilla hot - it completely changes the flavour or I mix half chocolate and half banana. My friend also hated all the packs she told herself that it was fuel and got it down as quickly as possible - Hope this helps. Yx
March Starter
Hi
I joined LL in March - I joined this forum today. To date I've lost 34.5 lbs - some days it's easy and other days it's the hardest thing I've ever done!
Newbie
Hi
I'm also new - I've been reading the posts on the site for a week or so - I find them so inspirational. I'm on week 8 of LighterLife - sticking with it but some days I feel like I'm climbing a mountain and can only take one step at a time. Lost 34.5 lbs so far, 38.5 lbs to go.
