Sarah's Quest to be a Yummy Mummy

Hi Sarah, good to see you back in the swing of it - I've not been on minimins for ages, just popped on for a browse and to try and get motivated. I've put on lots of lbs again and jsut can't haul myself back into self-discipline mode. Glad to read that Bella is doing well, even if she'll only...

Lou's Diary - onwards and inwards!

hi hun, I also snuck off and joined WW a couple of weeks ago (I have put on so much poundage it's a bit scary and i daren't update my stats on here!) - takes some getting used to, all the points malarky and I think it makes it really hard to estimate stuff so eating out is a bit of a nightmare...

Hey sweetie, I'm OK, crazily busy with work at the moment so just don't have the time for minimims during the day and then can't stand the thought of voluntarily using a computer when I'm at home after 10 hours glued to one at work! 3lb heavier than in my profile but am working on it! Hi Lou, You are looking hot hot hot in your new picture, so slim!! I am a bit worried about the 1000kcal thing though - that seems like hardly anything! Don't do it for too long! Better to lose slowly and surely than to lose a load but for it to jump back on when you go back to eating...

Hello and welcome back to the wagon!! It just goes to show that losing all that weight last year did you a massive favour - you would be way more than 4lb above where you were then if you hadn't have slimmed then! Hope day 1 goes well - make sure you eat enough to keep you healthy :)

    Sarah83's New Diary

Good for you jumping back on the wagon - it can't be easy with a teeny tiny (hungry) one around! I recommend the current SW magazine - there's quite a few recipes which involve a bit of chopping and frying off, then just sitting in the oven (so not too laborious).... and also a section on...

    Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Thank you all! Well, I've been AWOL for a couple of days, it's been manic at work this week and I have had to take colleagues out for lunch and dinner every day so food wise I have not been on plan, although trying to chose wisely. It seems a bit silly to just 'guesstimate' syns when you eat...

Hi hun, hope you're not getting poorly. I love all the SW meals I can have and love eating healthily in that respect, but for comfort nothing beats chocolate does it?! I wish they could invent a 0 syn snack that had the same effect!! :)

    Sarah83's New Diary

Hi Sarah, Could be worse than *having* to sit out in the gorgrous sunshine all day ;) I know a few people who had fainting spells when they were pregnant, think it can be blood pressure or baby pushing against some nerve / blood vessel and stopping stuff circulating like it should (that's a...

    Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Hello, Yes Gobolino, it was the recipe from the calender and it was yummy! For the fish tagine I used haddock but would have used the Tesco value river cobbler if they had had any in stock when I went shopping. It really takes in the corianderyness off the marinade so any white fish would do (...

Lou's Diary - onwards and inwards!

Hi Lou, Sorry to read that you are struggling. I think that it must be hard to get back into your previous routine when you have done so many amaxing things over the past month. I think that sitting in on the newbies talk is an excellent idea as you can then treat it as a fresh start and start...

    Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Aubergine bake was surprisingly nice: I sliced two aubergines lengthways and 'fried' them in batches. I meanwhile fried some garlic and added 2 tins chopped toms, oregano and crushed chillis and simmered for about 15 mins to thicken. Then put some sauce in a dish, covered with a lyaer of...

I love spinach, only trouble is that is disappears to nothing when you cook it! Was just commenting earlier on Meli's diary that she mixes quark and spinach to make a yummy topping for crackerbread - an idea to steal I think :) Plus it will make your baby strong like Popeye :)

    whats for lunch

Hi Befanwi, I think you are losing very well - a stone off since January is excellent, especially when you don't have lots to lose :) As for portion size, eat until you are satisfied, that's the rules, don't get hung up on whether it's too much or too little - we're supposed be losing our...

Mmm, I love peanut butter, I had some yesterday too :) You have got a lot stashed in your freezer!
