I'm not a big poster on here but I have gained invaluable advice by reading the posts and replies that others, in particular the 'older' members have posted. Please don't stop - I'm sure there are many more members like me who rarely post but value the experience of others.
I can totally identify with the live to eat mindset. Before I started Dukan, food consumed a great deal of my thoughts and a huge part of my social life revolved around food. I'm not quite sure when it changed (maybe around week 3) but now I don't really think about food at all - which is...
I'm pleased I'm not the only one who is losing weight from their boobs first. I quite liked mine and have to wonder why it has to go from there before my thighs, butt or stomach. Frustrating is not the word!
I hope your stall ends soon.
If peanut butter was allowed then I'd be sat here now with a teaspoon and a jar!
As it isn't I'll go back to drinking my water.
I hope your stall ends soon.

I just made a wheatbran free version of these (mainly because I haven't trekked to a health food shop yet). So I reduced the quantity of all the other ingredients by a third to compensate.
They look a bit odd but they taste fine and make a lovely change to galettes or oatbran stirred into...

I haven't got any wheat bran in but thought I'd try them without.
Yesterdays were ginger and were very strange.
Today I made a thicker mix with cinnamon and they were even stranger.
I think perhaps the wheat bran is needed after all! I will add some to my shopping list for next time.

If it's a PV day then I just take a salad with either chicken or prawns and no-one thinks anything of it.
On a PP day then I put whatever I'm eating (usually chicken, turkey or prawns) in my lunch box and just spear it with a fork. A few people have commented and I've just said that I'm...

Hi,
I'm still very new at this (just finished my first week) but my main tip would be to make sure you have some food with you at all times. It sounds drastic, but I found that I went from feeling slightly peckish to being ravenous in about 2 minutes. Having something at hand helped keep...
.....because I get to eat some vegetables!
Totally random post but I've just done 7 days of Attack and have missed fruit and veg so much (far more than I've missed junk food, bread, pasta and so on).
I am ridiculously giddy. :)
Stick with it and it should get easier. Day's 4-7 were by far my worst and since then I've felt fine.
Hope you wake up feeling energetic and headache-less tomorrow.
Well done on your loss this week. :)
I admire you giving your scales the heave-ho. I've nearly broken my compulsive weighing habit but can't imagine not having them there on a Monday morning.
x
I've got a few sachets left from my very brief attempt at CD and I pop the odd one in on this plan, usually when I'm bored. I haven't noticed any side-effects from doing it. Go for it.... although that porridge is seriously grim imo. ;)
Oh Priya. Have a giant hug.
No real advice but if I was you I'd stick to the diet for another week and during the week do not be tempted by those scales. Stay away.
Are you weighing yourself at the same time of day as well? I know that I'm 3lb heavier in the evening than in the morning so...
I think the bars and soups are all fine. The shakes are another matter altogether - I mix mine up and then down them as I couldn't stand to sip them. Even the smell is just ugh. *shudder*
I'm another who had a brief dalliance with CD.
I far prefer the soups and bars on Exante. I preferred the shakes on CD however the Exante ones aren't disgusting and after three weeks they taste totally fine.
I prefer Exante as it's cheaper and I don't have to go and see someone. I always...
That's impressive.
I'm trying to beat the scale addiction too. I realised that if the scales showed no loss or a gain then I'd feel rubbish all day long. I'm now limiting myself to two scale sessions a week. It's hard though.
I wonder how bizarre this compulsion with scales would sound to...
I had a smaller loss than I was hoping for on my second week too.
I just kept reminding myself that at least it was weight off and long term even a tiny loss in the right direction.
Fingers crossed for slightly more on week three.
I drink a glass of water whenever I go into the kitchen (at home).
If I am thirsty I make myself drink two glasses.
At work when I leave my office I make sure I have drunk my glass and then fill it up as I walk back in.... the IT men have recently removed our local printers so I have to leave...
You have my total sympathy as I've had a very similar week at work.
We're hosting a huge conference and the food is plentiful and divine.... think danishes and fruit salad for breakfast, fruit and biscuits for morning break, fully catered hot/cold delish buffet lunch with proper desserts and...
I know where you are coming from with the disappointment (been there done that on a different diet). Hopefully the lovely people (and Jim) before me will have convinced you not to be disappointed but just in case this is for you...
WHOHOO! You are fab.... 2lbs less is amazing and you are...
