    A small but successful story.

Hey guys, Goodness, I haven't been on here for *forever*! I'm pleased to report that a couple of weeks ago I got back to my target. New group (my last leader moved to another country!) with a new equally lovely leader and a really nice atmosphere... although sometimes it feels like we should...

Tv show This morning debate - new idea about doctors calling 'fat' instead of obese.

I'm currently training to be a doctor and I hope I will be an understanding and caring doctor (and not just assume everything is caused by excess weight) and will definitely treat all my patients with utmost respect. My current thoughts are that, at the end of the day, the words 'overweight'...

Getting back to goal by myself and returning to classes?

Cheers for that. Hopefully, we're only a couple of weeks away from being back into the target range and then I'll go back. Don't mind paying the one-off fee to get myself back to the weekly classes. I find them very supportive and it's nice to be able to have a few hours away from the kids!

Anyone in the 10 stones trying to get into the 9's??!!

Hi all, Can I join you? I want to get back to my target of 9 stone 13 pounds. It was *always* about getting into the 9s. Heheh. I'm only a few pounds off so hoping to crack it in the next week or two. Wanted to come on here and get some motivation and support. :) Cheers Vicky

    A small but successful story.

Hi guys, Thought I'd post my success story on here. It's nowhere near as impressive as many of yours but I still did it myself and I'm pretty chuffed. I have been overweight for most of my adult life. As a child, I was super-active and super-skinny and then I hit puberty and it all seemed to...

Getting back to goal by myself and returning to classes?

Cheers for that guys - makes sense. Sounds like I'd need to pay a 'one-off' of £14.85 at the first meeting I returned to and would then be free again as long as I stayed in target range. Cheers Vicky

Getting back to goal by myself and returning to classes?

Hi all, I got to goal back in November of last year. I stayed at goal for around 5 months attending class occasionally and then slowly put on half a stone again from Easter to about a month ago. I didn't go to classes once my weight gain tipped me out of the goal range until right at the end...

Can someone explain how Slimmer of the week works please.

For me, the opportunity to celebrate these harder to quantify successes (but equally if not more important) suggested by Britmum are what Image Therapy is all about. If you've had a crappy week, you can laugh or cry about it with people who understand and if you've had a good week/month based on...

Can someone explain how Slimmer of the week works please.

FWIW, I never thought I'd win SOW or SOM as I didn't have much to lose and was doing it so slowly but I managed to win both (just the once). I think it helped that my group is quite small but I also think that, especially with SOM, slow and steady can sometimes win the day - I was only...

    Why SW?

I've done a bunch of diets but the two main ones I've done (and paid for) are Slimming World and Weight Watchers. I *much* prefer Slimming World. SW feels much much much more maintainable in the long term and fits better into my life. It seems so much more like 'normal' eating than WW is. You...

Never felt so ill in my life, silver lining?

I've been on and off ill since I started term back in October. This week, it's been the turn of the stomach bug. Have felt absolutely rotten and wouldn't wish it on anyone but I think I may have lost those last couple of pounds to reach goal - we shall see. Can't wait to feel properly better...

    Students!

I've just started a degree in Medicine as a (very) mature student. Loving it and loving that I feel marginally less out of place being a lot slimmer than I was before. My biggest issue is lunch times - there isn't a microwave available in the med school (I've asked for one to be put in the...

    Tuesday Weighers

Excellent weight losses people. And wow, there are some truly amazing total weight losses on this board. An inspiration. I lost 2 1/2 lbs which I'm really chuffed with. I also set my goal officially and am on a mission to hit it before I get my last paycheque at the end of October. Should be...

Thanks guys. Another quick question - how do you get your signatures so long? I just put in three stickers and it tells me I've exceeded my 350 characters. *sadface*. Heheh. Cheers Vicky

How does target work? (And a general 'Hello!' post from a newbie.)

Hi guys, Thanks for your replies - and so speedy as well! So, if I set my target as, say 9 stone 13 and got to it. If I wanted a new goal of 9 stone 6, that would be fine? That sounds like it could work well - as you say, I wonder if there's a limit of the number of times you can do it though...

How does target work? (And a general 'Hello!' post from a newbie.)

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, it certainly looks really active and I'm looking forward to reading through a lot of posts. I have been on Slimming World Extra Easy since the start of June and am really liking it. I've done Weight Watchers before with some success, SlimFast with less success and...

    5'5 People..Whats your target?

I'm 5'4" and in a similar boat to you trying to decide what I'd like to be. I always thought 9 stone 13 would be great and it actually feels vaguely achievable now. We'll see. Cheers Vicky
