Slimming World and LONG Bike rides

Thanks, that's really helpful. While I am partly cycling to help with weight loss, I am mostly doing it for other health benefits and because I absolutely love it and it makes me happy. It's more important to me that I make sure I do my bike rides in a way that is both enjoyable and safe, than...

Do lots of planning and also after a binge think of your very favourite SW meal and cook that - then it doesn't feel so much like you're going back to 'diet' foods from 'tasty' foods.

I know they are full of chemicals etc but they are great if you're on a diet because they really taste like bad food, esp the cheese leek and ham one, despite being so low in syns. They are a convenience food, so not meant to be nutritious unfortunately but they're great if you need an enjoyable...

    Walking to target...

I have taken up going for walks in the country with my OH, we did a ten mile one last weekend and we're doing another big one on Sunday that apparently takes in several big hills and was given a difficulty rating of 9/10 from the walking club website we found it on! It's great fun now the...

    NSVs - Non Scale Victories

Yesterday I had a meeting with one of my uni tutors about my dissertation, and as soon as I sat down she exclaimed "You're looking thin, are you ok?" I said I was fine and had been trying to lose weight, and she said "Oh good," then said "Oh no, I'm sure one of the top rules of teaching is that...

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

Congrats! I'm not sure how I will do this week, had a couple of minor slips on weds and thurs bur have been good since and exercised every day. However I don't think I've been eating enough superfree and I've had a couple of meals that although they were totally on plan did involve massive...

    Weird free food habits...

Me too! My boyfriend always makes fun of me for putting ketchup on so much stuff. My absolute favourite green day light meal is cheese leek and ham pasta n sauce with two quorn sausages and two tbsp of ketchup!

    What's wrong with me!!

The shred is great. Even the beginners level is hard but manageable, and the soreness goes after a while. I'm on about day 24 and I've definitely noticed a change in terms of muscle definition, and I lost 4.5lbs last week and 1.5 the week before!

    Weight loss biology?

I believe (from what my mum who's done LighterLife has told me) that on VLCDs after a few days your body goes into ketosis, which is where it just starts directly metabolizing the fat in your body. Ketosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

Hi, I hope you guys don't mind if I join you! I got to 11st 13 last week and then this week I had an amazing loss of 4.5lbs rocketing me down to 11st8.5 so I'm feeling great about getting into the 10s! I've been doing plenty of exercise so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard. I'm very excited, I...

Something I never understood about EE syns.

The syns for the sushi I eat are the same for green and extra easy, that's the thing that doesn't make sense to me. Surely they should be more on green! Anyway I just didn't think eating a small amount for a HexB was considered a tweak, I've seen people post on here that the official line...

Something I never understood about EE syns.

You don't know much sushi I eat! Also I like to split Hexs. I know what the question is here and I want to know the same thing, the syns in sushi not counting the rice or fish.
  232. hatwell

Something I never understood about EE syns.

I want to know about sushi too because I do green and can only assume that some of the syns are the fish. I know there is mayo in some of the rolls and a bit of sugar in the stuff the rice is mixed with. So when I eat sushi I'd like to know the breakdown so I can put the fish as a HexB and then...

    Am I really a size 18-20? :(

Primark sizes are very odd and not to be trusted. When I was almost an 18 I bought a jacket there and the label said 10 and it was loose! Don't worry about it, I think because it's so cheap maybe they skimp a bit of paying the people who check the right labels are in the right clothes!

    NSVs - Non Scale Victories

Belts are a big one! My normal belt setting is now the fourth hole, it used to be the second. Also me and my boyfriend went for a 10 mile country walk yesterday and I was astonished at how much energy I had! I was ahead of him the whole time and he's really fit (though he was hungover and I...

Being rubbish at the SW 'rules'- e.g. My Mum

This is probably the funniest thing I have read on here! Such a great thread! Not so funny but my mum has been doing LL for ages, but as soon as she comes off it she will gain again, I keep trying to convince her to do SW because I love it, but she has an underactive thyroid and says that...
